    This or Edifier R1280Ts… decisions.

Ordered four. One for each l corner of my room

    • +3

Makes sense, they do originate from the quattrophonic era.

    • $100,000 decor.

      • +1

        What no center speaker?

      • +3

Nah, got $20 off for bulk buy

  • Can I mount these in the boot of my hothatch?

    • +5

2 of these in a Toyota Yaris is a sound investment.

    • Yeah but they would sound like ass! ideally you need to rip out the front seats, extend the steering wheel and pedals and sit on the back seat, and mount these where the dash is!

Post photos when you are done :)

$22,398 ÷ 10 ÷ 365 = $6.14/day so about a cup of coffee per day. That's assuming they only last 10 years, if they last 20+ maybe it's $3 per day or less.

    • +7

They have a 10 year warranty.
You should just dump them on the kerb at that point for the poors.

      • That accouhts for 99.9% ozbargainers

    • +11

I will use this formula with the misses, thanks.

    • +1

Even better value for money, you forgot the two leap years.

    • +1

Take in to account inflation, a coffee will be $10 in 20 years

      • 20 years? More like 5.

I was at a store picking up a REL sub, while I was waiting for the sales guy, I had a wander around the store and they had some of these playing, I have never been a big fan of Klipsch, but wow! I have been wanting to make my own speakers using compression horns after listening to them, the highs were so detailed and perfect, I really didn't want to go home and listen to my Dyns (which to most are an expensive speaker!)

  • Check out their website, the most expensive speakers are $1.4 million!!!

    • +8

Thanks. Sold my house and bought one.

      • +1

The real joke is that the part where an average Australian homeowner could sell their crappy old house in the suburbs for this much is not even a joke ☹️

        • +3

And it only benefits boomers downsizing, investors and realestate agents.

For an average joe your house being worth a billion dollars means nothing if you need to buy another billion house after selling it.

          So true
Shittiest knockdown fibro house on a <500m2 block in my area is betweem 1.5m to 1.6m. Mine has gained 70% value in 4 years from when i bought

      • +1

sell 2 houses and have a pair.

  • +1

Thanks ordered 10, now playing Snow - Informer on loop.

  • Soundblaster 250 thank you very much

  • Usually in a Hi-End system, when the system is not in low end range(total spend is more than 10K), the investment ratio should be sound source > Amp > speaker. So to this speaker, I expected the expense of the whole system will be 80K.

    • Oh damn. Just ordered a pair to plug into my ghetto blaster.

"One watt can generate a concert sound experience"

this statement doesn't make any sense

    • +6

      The specs have SENSITIVITY1 105dB @ 2.83V / 1m (1 in average listening room).

So with 1 watt of power these speakers should be outputting 105 decibels measured 1 metre from them… so a perfect concert sound experience in your 1 bed apartment

  • +1

Wow. That would be like parking a new MG3 in your living room.

  • +3

Imagine After Spending $22k on this Speaker it says : Your Bruetooth is Ready to Pair !

  • -1

If this was designed and built in China, it would be retailing for $1888.

  • +2

Great deal but walnut would clash with my mahogany ottoman

  • -1

I believe this is still too expensive

  • 15” woofer … my vintage speakers are 12” woofers …ahh these klipsch were designed in the days when size did matter.

  • Have any of the harsh critics actually auditioned these speakers?
