Vodafone: $60 Cashback on 300GB 12-Month Prepaid Plus Starter Pack SIM for $199 (Was $320) @ TopCashback AU

880

Great deal at $139 (after cashback) for Vodafone $320 300GB SIM discounted to $199. Beats previous offer by 30c. Offer ends on Sun 9th Nov at 11:59pm AEDT (I asked TA).

  • Includes International Calls.
  • Uncapped Speeds.
  • 5G Network.

Also available is 50% Cashback on Vodafone $12 70GB 28-Day Prepaid Plus Starter Pack SIM.

For better tracking, use the TopCashback app, click the 'Get Cashback' pink button to the Vodafone website (not Vodafone app), use mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Postpaid & prepaid SIMs must be activated within 30 days of purchase. Postpaid SIMs must remain active for at least 90 days after activation to be eligible for cashback. No retention period is required for pre-paid SIMs after activation.
  • Cashback is ineligible on all other (unlisted) plans, business plans, recharges, upgrade services, additional postpaid plans, add-ons, mobile broadband, prepaid handsets, and tablets.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of any gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • For prepaid plans, cashback is calculated on the purchase price.
  • Cashback is paid once per transaction, regardless of the number of plans purchased on that order.
  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Vodafone have doubled their network coverage.

Our new regional network will cover 98.4% of the Australian population. You will immediately have access to nearly one million square kilometres of coverage, including 5G in areas where it is already available.

That's a great price. Slight regret jumping on the Kogan deal the other week….

  • Can it get much better than this for Black Friday

  • Postpaid & prepaid SIMs must be activated within 30 days of purchase.

    Dang it!

    • Yeah I need this in January. I mean even without Cashback $199 seems good, but I will wait.

      • Does it 'really' need to be activated? Boost sims still paid out without being activated. Cant see the Voda network being better at tracking than Telstra. I'll probably give it a crack (I'm paid up until May).

    • Can’t keep it for later i guess

Got the shopback offer, but this is also a good deal. Lucky my optus from last year is ending dec 4th.

Seems like this time of the year is the best to time your yesrly prepaid!!

    • This offer beats the ShopBack and previous TopCashback offers by 30c 😊

      • +1

Yeah didn't have a crystal ball to see theyd beat by a whopping 30c.

I was going to wait closer to black friday, but 139.3 is a good price! But yes 139 is a better price!

    • +1

I did the same and my Optus one ends on the 6th. Great minds……..

  • Are existing customers eligible? I already have a Vodafone account with an active data plan.

    • +1

Yes but cashback is ineligible on recharges. Cashback is eligible if:

      • you are asking about your existing Vodafone number, you would have to port out into another provider and then port back into Vodafone with the number.
      • you are buying this SIM for a new number.
      • Does this include Vodafone resellers? I'm currently with Lebara so I imagine should be eligible but if not I can port to another network before joining Voda

  • +1

It is good deal. I use Boost mobile at the moment. Will I still receive SMS from banks while overseas? Thanks

    • +1

As long as your roaming is on (on both Voda network side and on your phone). Remember to turn data off (just on your phone is fine).

      • It means that I have to pay for roaming to get message? I used Boost and still get message without roaming when I travel. Thanks

        • +1

          Free to receive text.
You get charged to send texts, make calls, and answer calls.

  • Got the previous deal with 30c less cashback.

Porting was straight forward. Opt in to auto recharge for an extra 100gb data. I did have to contact them via online chat to get it added though.

    • did you turn off the auto recharge after you got the extra 100gb?

    • Just wondering what you told the online chat? I've just tried to do that and they've told me that the 100GB is only applied once it actually auto-recharges ie. next year.

      • +1

I just said there was an option to to opt in to the auto recharge for the bonus 100gb. The first rep said wait a couple of days (after porting in) for it to appear but it didn't. They did make note on my account that it was for the extra 100gb though.

Then a couple days later I had to get the next rep to read the note and they just applied it.

  • I purchased at the time of 30% last week. If I buy this one, will I still receive cash back? Has anyone bought two can confirm?

    • +1

You can buy another one for cashback.

    • +1

I bought 3 for the family via 3 separate transactions. All tracked for the cash back.

      • +1

Do separate transactions for multiple purchases:

Cashback is paid once per transaction, regardless of the number of plans purchased on that order.

  • +1

For those who are interested, They have 5G SA standard across all plans whereas Telstra restricts it to postpaid plans only.

  • Amaysim to Vodophone port straight forward? Anyone can share their experiences please?

    • I tried to port Kogan to Vodafone last night through online. I got error, customer care got no idea. He said maybe once off error.

      • +2

Try to avoid the same network if we can because Kogan use Vodafone, better change to different network, example Vodafone to Optus or Telstra…

    • Amaysim uses Optus network, so port directly to Vodofone is okay?

      • Yes.

  • I don't need this, but this is a really good price. Much cheaper than the Boost one I jumped on - but that's Telstra network

  • +7

I don't need this, but there's an Amex offer of $7 back for spending $50 or more, that I assume would stack with this. Worth checking your Amex offers (if you have one) if this offer floats your boat.

  • Does this have eSIM?

    • +1

Can only get physical Sim delivered. Then can change to esim via Voda app

  • +1

Bought two in separate transactions and they both tracked!

    • Will they pay cashback for both (more than one transaction for same offer)?

      • +1

Cashback is eligible when multiple SIM cards are ordered separately. If you need 3 SIM cards, order each separately and there will be 3 transactions of $60 cashback each.

  • Anyone have recent experience with Voda network lately?
I used Kogan mobile about 2 years ago and it was so shocking in Victoria that I had to bail on my 12 month plan half way through

  • Does Vodafone offer voicemail as sms voice attachment like you get with Telstra and Boost?

    • Good question

    • +1

No but visual voicemail on iPhone should still work. If you are on Pixel the phone can take the message for you so you can just hit play and listen to it (or even pick it up half way through people leaving it which is pretty cool - works like an old answering machine on the landline).

  • Does this work for existing Vodafone customers?

    • Yes but not for recharge. Please see my reply here.

  • How long does this take to track? I bought last night and the app still doesn’t show it.

    • Tracked in 10 mins (used chrome browser on laptop)

      • Ugh. Thanks mate. I used the app and it still didnt even work. Cashback stuff gives me the shits. Thankfully its still a good deal.

  • Can anyone who ported share the process please?

How do I port directly to Vodofone esim?

  • You can only order the physical Sim. Then once that's delivered start the porting process. Mine took about 15mins to port from Moose Mobile. Then once you're ported over use the Vodafone app to transfer to an esim. That took only a minute or 2.

    • How long does it take to deliver physical Sim ? Can we pick it up from Vodofone store to speed up.

If we port we lose our current carrier connection and have to wait for the Sim delivery during which we might be without network (so worried about this scenario).

Also can we future date the connection so that the Sim is delivered and then have connection without waiting during porting and Sim card delivery.

      • Unsure about picking up from store.

You only port your number when you have your Voda sim with you. Then you start the process. You will only be without network when the number ports from your current provider and you turn your phone off to switch Sim.

        • Thank you for the information, placed an order, sim will be delivered in 2 days time and will activate vodofone plan towards end of current plan (within next 20 days).

  • Is this the best offer available, or can I expect better deals from other providers this month? I already have a Vodafone plan for a family member and am considering another network for backup access.

Thanks in advance for your reply/ies.

  • I noticed a surcharge for credit card payment at checkout. Anyone know if there's a way to avoid it? It's not clear but I'm assuming it also apples to credit card payments via Google Pay.

    • +1

Used a debit card and there were no additional charges during payment

    • +1

I used Google pay but no surcharge

      • Thanks! I tried Google Pay and didn't get hit with a surcharge. When I entered in my debit card details though, there was still a notice about a surcharge. Not sure if one is actually applied at checkout though.

  • lol, love a competition

ShopBack is now at 35% cashback for this $320 SIM (discounted to $199)

    • Can we cancel the orders placed via topcashback by calling Vodofone customer care by any chance?

Anyone has done this (cancellation) before does it work?

      • I called customer care and managed to cancel my order. Haven't received any confirmation or a refund yet but was told it will come through in 3 business days. Worth a try.

        • Takes ages to get to a customer support agent (hold time is long) and then they were unable to retrieve customer information - kept on hold for a long time. Skipped the call, will continue it for a year at $139.
          300 GB Data
+100GB on auto pay setup (disable it after getting 100 GB credited to the account)

so 400 GB is good enough for a year (no caps on 5G speeds which is a good thing).

        • @code695

How did you cancellation request go through?

They have asked me to wait until delivery then activate it with temporary/new number and call them to cancel the plan. That means activate a new connection then call them to cancel for refund which I'm unsure if they will cancel after activation.

          • @jaboday423: I'm still waiting for a refund. The customer support agents who I spoke to assured me that the order has been cancelled but I'm still getting notifications about an impending delivery. Honestly not sure what's going on. Will just have to wait until the end of the week to see if a refund actually comes through.
