Add something else to your cart, like a phone, then enter the promo code in cart/checkout. It should work then, and you can remove the unwanted item.
Getting same error. Tried adding additional items to cart (trying to buy a laptop)
Click "view and edit cart" instead of proceed to checkout. And then add the code on that page. That worked for me

It would have left a better taste them just doing the usual “excludes Apple”.
Coupon code may need to be added on the cart page and not the checkout page.

Purchased a OPEN BOX iPad Air 128 GB M3 13 inch for 932 AUD after discount coupon for elderly mother. She was using a 2017 iPad for watching YouTube videos . That is still going well but this hopefully is a decent upgrade esp with 13 inch screen .
