Watch 9 will be out next.

    • $316 via partner portal for the watch844m Bluetooth

Fwiw, the Watch 6 Classic is the most recent round (non-squircle) watch with rotating bezel (which sone people prefer).

Watch 7 didnt have a Classic (rotating bezel), and Watch 8 Classic is squircle (which a lot of people do not like).

In my opinion, this model paired with a nice metal aftermarket band is the best looking Galaxy Watch.

        • I agree. I have a metal band which turns this great watch into a proper Digital Man's Watch. Love it.

Waiting for fenix 8 sale as I'm sick of charging stupid samsung watches every 2-3 days even on battery saver mode. Need the 15 to 20 day garmin

    • Wow. You get that long out of the battery.

      • Got the watch 8 pro

        • then imagine my sickness from charging my GW6 everyday

the fenix loses out on smartphone features such as messaging, phone calls and Google Home? its more of a fitness watch

Breaking: Man buys general purpose smartwach with AMOLED screen & high refresh rate only to complain that it's 3 day battery life is not as good as an exercise focused smartwatch with battery efficient screen, laggy performance & missing features. Says the watch is stupid.

  • still over priced for 2 year old

    • You got any better deal mate ?

      • -6

I don't even see this as a deal.

        • Non-starter if it's not running WearOS given lack of app compatibility

        • Can't see if it can use Google pay etc

  • Is the face too big for an average female? It looks huge on some guys in photo

    • +1

Yep 47mm is a big face, it looks big on a large male wrist. 43mm would be a more acceptable.

      • Thanks for that. Saved me a big bill

Hmmmm might finally be time to upgrade my gear s3 frontier. The rotating bezel is tempting.

If I do upgrade it'll be bittersweet…the s3 has served me well, been chugging along as my daily driver for years

    • +2

Exact same as you. I bit the bullet and got this, I will hand gear s3 to son to use without worrying if it gets wrecked. Wear OS is what I'm after and at this price, seems reasonable with only large round model with spin bezel left

      • +1

Yep am getting one too. I still remember having to flash with an apk after the watch stopped working with my Fold when the phone got an update. I would have had to upgrade ages ago if not for that lol

        • +2

Same still have my Gear frontier S3 thanks to side loading the APK to keep it functioning as well as the Huawei watch GT2. Both are superb watches considering the age.

  • Purchased online and collected just now.
Discovered on the way out this is not the LTE version, despite saying it has 4G connectivity on the ad. This is why I bought it.
Returned it immediately. They did offer me the silver LTE though. Wasn't interested. Other bargainers may be able to leverage this if they want a silver.

Here I am with my Watch 3 Frontier

  • Hi OP, you mentioned the other 43mm variant is for $270 but I couldn't find it on JB's website. Mind sending the link over? Thanks.

it is worth noting that watch6 including classic has the same CPU that was in watch4, watch5.

I had 4, 5, 5 pro, 4 classic, 6 classic and now 7. and 7 is much snappier compared to 6 classic which I still have, so can compare side by side

7 starts up much faster, and in general everything is faster snappier and more responsive. it's just a better watch. because of new processor.

was keeping my 6 classic in case I miss the rotating bezel, and I do, but 7 is just more convenient and fun to use. fwiw

    • Yeah, I went with the 7, largely for that reason. Would prefer to have a bezel, and would have got a 7 Classic if they made one. But decided I could live without it. I figured the Watch 7 could be the last round watch they make (given the move to the squircle design), so decided to go for the latest one I could, to help prolong the life of it!

Could definitely understand people choosing to forgo the faster/snappier performance for the look/usability of the rotation bezel, though!

      • I took 6 classic out again and yes while it's nice and bezel is cool, still performance and how fluid the UI is, it's just more pleasant to use. I am keeping 6 classic only for some trade in Samsung deal
