The 50 supers seem to be delayed due to RAM/NAND prices. I would say now’s not a bad time to buy if you’re in the market. It’s a good card and would last you a few years even at 4k.

Otherwise you may be HODLing a while, and at that point you’d best HODL until the 60 series instead

    • This.

I was in this camp. Heard the 50 super delayed rumors. Decided im buying a 9070xt. And they are ynder 1100. Which was my stock alert.

    Live in the now. Buy

Alternately, play the thousands of older titles available.

I've had this model for many months now, and its been flawless.
Pretty chunky though, given the size of the cooler, so check your case dimensions to make sure it will fit.

    My 3070 still working. HODL!!!

    • Mind if I ask what CPU/RAM combo you have to compliment your 3070?

      • +3

        I've got a 5700X3D, Asus B550i with 32GB Crucial 3200Mhz CL16

        • Yep, same CPU and RAM 😁

        • Nice, wish I got a 5700X3D before they ceased production :(

    • 3070 and 10400f here. Hodl

    • My 3070 is slipping. Signal drops randomly for 0.5 secs every hour. Sometimes its monitor 1, sometimes its monitor 2.

3070 needs to hold out till xmas

    • My 3070 still works - but not as well as Id like so just hit the go button on this. Fully prepared to be mad in a couple of weeks when black friday sales drop

    • So is my 6800!

    • Same here, combo'd with a 13600kf and 32gb 5600mhz

  • Sick price I reckon. Pulled the trigger at $1049 a couple weeks ago for the benefit of being able to walk out of the shop with one instead of waiting for the post, and just an inkling that the RAM supply situation is going to push video card prices up a little in the near future.

  • eh.. anything in a tier below this, but still 16gb of RAM? (maybe even 2ndhand)
don't think my 550W PSU will be able to cope with a 300W TDP card..

    • +4

The 9070 (non xt) is the obvious answer- has a 220W TDP and still great performance.

      • +1

Yeah this is a better TLDR to what I said below/just beat me to it hehe.

If your PSU is quality, it'd be fine as long as it has enough amperage/wattage on the 12v rail. + you can always power limit/undervolt. What model is it?

(This assumes a consumer level/standard CPU pulling say ~100 or less under load. If you're running an Intel CPU that is unlocked to 250w+ then no).

Otherwise to answer your first query, RX 9060 XT 16GB is a 'tier' below, but in reality is a couple of tiers below. The next down (somewhat in the same bracket) would be the RX 9070 Non XT (I own this) and it's regularly pulling around 220w for me. With pretty minimal performance difference IMO. Can be had around ~800 or less during sales/using codes. I got mine for 830~ delivered but lowest was ~780 delivered recently.

    • i would get the Intel B580 if i were you, its fantastic value, around $430 atm and its like 10% slower than the 9060 XT which is over $100 more.

Just need to make sure your CPU supports Direct Storage

Use above deal code FUTU2025 for https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/236319997464

There's your ~800 dollar non XT model!

  • Been using this card for the past week. Gets quite loud if you let it, so would recommend dialing in fan curves. Otherwise solid card, definitely a chonky boi

Is also available at Mwave. Same price and free shipping as well. https://www.mwave.com.au/product/xfx-amd-radeon-rx-9070xt-sw…

  • Id buy this if i wanted to play tetris really well.

The white version for $999 is great too. I recently bought it for $1019.
Now just waiting on @Nebula PC to hook us up with a white BYO deal :)

6900XT owner here running 4K…this is so tempting, its either snap one of these up or wait 2 years for the next cards…but is the 10-15fps gain at 4K and FSR4 worth it?

  • Bought my 9070 XT for $909.5 and couldn’t be happier! Replacing my 6800 XT in my Formd T1 still running the 5600X. Hopefully at least 3-4 years before I replace the system!

    • So you're running this in pci-e 4? Hw much of a bottleneck is it?

  • This is my price limit for a GPU…tempting.

    • I love ali but, still got to pay $80 GST extra. Probably better buying local for this one

    • New store from July 2025 with 0 customer reviews screams scam to me. Do not buy from here

      • Yeah you're right, I should have looked. The advertisement is still popping up from Ali so I trusted

  • Not sure this is actually a good deal right now
