  • This , or a 7700XT 12gb for $499? secondary game rig for kids, doesn't need to be anything special, presently on a 1070Ti which is fine but just considering upgrade because… computers!

      Go for a 1080Ti

        The goat!

        • Edit, ok the 7700XT is about twice as fast in many games, for $100 more , probably that one or I might keep an eye out for a 3070 or 3080 , at least I can still play physx games on it then.

        • I have one still running strong - watercooled!

Where are you getting a 7700xt for $499?

      • +2

        Centrecom : XFX Speedster SWFT210 Radeon RX 7700XT 12GB GDDR6 Graphics Card $499

        • Thanks legend

IMO I'd hunt around for a second hand 6800XT. I picked up a Red Devil one for $400. Slightly faster than a 7700XT and more RAM.

Otherwise I'd look at a 9060XT instead, a little bit more again dollar-wise (so might be pushing the budget) but FSR4 was a pretty good improvement even though the cards are similar speed.

      • I'm using it on a pcie 4x4 oculink dock so literally no point in a faster card nor a card with pcie5, (these dont work at all with the dock I bought off aliexpress).
I don't need one so will HODL for further BFS.

  • $569 9060 xt 16gb

    • that would be the next card up the chain of value gpus

Way too much. On FB I saw a brand new 3060 Ti for $320. Maybe wait for black Friday deals, I'm sure we'll see 5060s for this price or close to it.

    • Yep, I was right. You can get a 5060 for $429 from Centrecom - it's a better value for money card than the B580. Typically about 13-14% faster in benchmarks, but costs only 7-8% more than B580. And resale value will always be higher for Nvidia vs Intel.

  • Got one from PLE for 399 plus 19 for uber delivery

  • Does anyone know how to claim the free game?

I didn't recieve any code in the box or anything that I need to put into the Intel website.

    • mine came through as an email from scorptec but was on my paper receipt that came with the card
