For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

AliExpress trade in USD! Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate.

  • Mine did not even last a year

    • This. I ordered the alldocube tab three months ago . Already facing screen touch and charging issues with no way to go back to Ali. Avoid

I went with an older xiaomi for the same price for this reason - I trust (lol hope) they have better quality control. Teclast is cheap, but they do die prematurely.

Edit - trade off is you just don't get these fancy specs. But I figure I'm going for the long game, not the fast game!

      • Which one? I got the iplay 50 mini pro, which working fine so far as a home assistant dashboard. But that's basically the 2 things I needed from it. Touch screen and charge. Lol

      • Alldocube is a bit weird. My older model must be fast charged or else the battery gauge will desync
Lenovo tab or Mi Pad for me next time

      • yeah my alldocube lasted all of one month it stopped charging and turning on, couldnt return it. not sure why so many people recommended these things.

      • Do you have touch input issues with the alldocube iplay 50? I put up a post with the fix for the touch input, only like a $2 tape and opening kit required. If its a different alldocube, i think the general gist is just to tape around the display things. Not sure aboit the charging issue though

      • My Alldocube iPlay50 Mini PRO keeps thinking it has low battery and randomly restarts itself. It did last about a year before acting up though.

Hi Clear, can you recommend something that's similar but with a better screen?

Max budget would be around $200. Cellular is a must.
