    @tightarse

This is a long shot, but is it possible to uplift those who signed up to the BF deal to $110 cashback?

    • you can't cancel because you didn't pick a future date?

      • +1

I picked a future date, but not sure if I cancel and resign up whether that constitutes as returning customer

        • So do you need to reach out to your old provider? Or superloop will do it for you?

          • +3

@Mild October: I’ve provided my AVC and NBN provider in the Superloop form. I’ll contact Telstra to disconnect it on the last day if Superloop and Telstra don’t talk to each other

Never had an issue with Origin/ABB/Buddy/Telstra - all disconnected without me informing them

            • -4

@BargainsGrabber: Obviously they don't talk to each other, we need to contact Telstra on the last day of billing cycle.

              • +1

                @sicaboy: ?

Not obvious. ISPs know when your service is terminated/churned out.

          • +1

@Mild October: I was with Leaptel and the switch and cancellation all happened within an hour of placing the order.

          • +1

@Mild October: IMPORTANT Don’t cancel in advance if you want 0 downtime.

I canceled my current provider on the same day I signed up and now I have to wait 24 hours for the connection to become active.

Apparently, the AVC means nothing once the old provider cancels the service. NBN co only update the active service listings for ports every 24 hours, so SL see the connection as active and NBN co won’t allow them to connect until the active port list refreshes the following day.

I asked if they could just connect to port 2 (don’t see why not) but was told it was not possible.

            • @yacman: Great reminder thanks mate! I did come up a planned termination date with my current provider and going for superloop the date after. I am prepared and I can fill the gap with my mobile network if that happen.

            • @yacman: This has been different to my experience, I usually wait until my existing service is completely disconnected before signing up to a new service. It goes through on the same day without issue and usually activates within the hour.

              YMMV

            • @yacman: You could have just ordered Launtel for $4 for that day and cancelled when your SL was live.

        • +1

you’re not a customer unless you have an active service with them, so if you cancel before connection date, then that particular signup never made you a customer?

    • Heard anything from TA yet? Would also love a retroactive uplift though obviously they're not obligated to. Otherwise I'll try to cancel my future dated connection and do the sign-up again.

      • I haven’t heard anything yet. I didn’t send a dm to him tho, only pinged him on this via the comment

        • @BargainsGrabber FYI I cancelled the pending service and signed up again and was given a new customer ID with successful cashback tracking. Had to phone up to cancel though annoyingly, but I was able to get clarification that as the previous service never got activated I will still be treated as a new customer.

      • -1

Didn’t ta retired from this a few months ago?

  • +7

FML…just rushed to sign up before 12AM to take advantage of the $95…should have gone to sleep. I would also love an uplift if possible 😁

    • +2

      SAME

    • +3

I did the same too. I think we should renounce our ozbargain membership :'(

  • Don’t cry. It’s okay.
I never did a cashback offer when I signed up.

  • +1

Thanks BG, just signed up :)

    • Tracking was almost instant. Insanely fast thanks TCB!

  • +1

I am with SL and would like to switch, 1000/100 connection, is there anything out there for me?

  • i am leaving SL because 12 months plan is due. From my 1 year experience with SL, had no issue at all. no drop, no slow down or whatsoever, very happy with them. will be back as a NEW CUSTOMER in 2026 BF.

    • How do you do that? Can you use different name for the same address? Would that be consider falling as a new customer category too?

      • You’re considered a new customer if it’s been 12 months since you’ve left

        • I see. Thank you!

        • Isn't that contrary to the description

A new Superloop customer is defined as someone that is no longer a Superloop customer and has no active service with them.

          • +1

@Talonparty: They left out the fine print about it having to be a year since you had a promotional rate from Superloop, Not sure if that means 12 months from when you first got the promotional rate or 12 months from the last month of the promotional rate. I think you'd still get the cashback but you wouldn't get the promotional monthly rate. That would make moving to superloop pointless as their normal rate is too expensive

            • @bobvegas: Does this apply even if we are on last years BF plans?

    • +6

They jacked up their prices numerous times, and you have to give 30 days notice once out of contract which is BS. Won't go back to them

      • Give them 30 days notice then. Why not?when promo price is ok and extra cashback. I will do it over and over again.

      • +3

I've logged a complaint with the ACCC about their 30 days notice…. I think its illegal because you cannot churn automatically and breaks the automated churn ability that the government setup.

    • Same. The odd issue with boosting but very rarely compared to what I've read from others. Will happily come back in future.

  • -1

Signed up 1 hr ago with $95. Crying too…

  • +1

    Thanks BG.

@tightarse Great offer. When does the deal expire?

    • +2

Hi. The increase is scheduled to end 23:59 AEDT on 12/12/2025. But as always the retailer can end/modify/extend the offer at any time, which is beyond our control. Cheers ☺️

      • +4

Will this work if you select a future date past 12/12/2025, or a future date before 12/12/2025?

  • +3

For the nerds wanting to expose any service, use Superloop support bot to get off CGNAT. The bot can do it for you. Then you’ll get a real IP that’s not NAT’ed.

    • How much does that cost?

      • No cost, I turned off CGnat the very same day I signed up and connected to the service.

    • For the non techies what are the advantages of getting off CGNAT?

      • Things like hosting a game server, VOIP phone.
Getting more Captcha's or being blocked from a site altogether (less common).
Connection instability due to misbehaving CGNAT appliances (there's a non-negligible amount of processing required to keep track of connections on the ISP end).
I opted out with Buddy after less than a month after stability issues, rock solid afterwards.

  • How long do these cash back offers usually last? I am paid up for my current provider until end of the month, so want to stay as long as possible.

  • +13

Superloop have a 30-day notice requirement when leaving them, unlike pretty much every other provider you can’t just churn away when you want (unless you want to pay for a month of service you don’t use).

Personally I found the service patchy, regular issues with a variety of streaming services, switched to a lower speed (500Mbps) with Leaptel and no issues.

    • -2

I am sure I moved from ABB with no notice and they pro-rata refunded the month left. I did leave it towards the end of the paid for month just in case, but didnt need to.
      This could of changed.

      • +1

ABB don't have the same policy as Superloop.

    • +1

Agree. It's a dog policy from Superloop

      • -1

upon signup/connection, just notify them that you'll be leaving after (not in) 30 days, with exact date to be confirmed

    • Isn't it just that you have to time it with the end of your service? Just making sure you are on top of things and not leaving it to the last minute?

      • No. Other providers don’t require this and Superloop didn’t previously, it’s just a desperate ploy to either get extra cash from subscribers or make it too expensive for them to leave.

        • TPG did when I was with them, not sure if they have removed this policy.

          • @kawinuyo: Last I read recently they still have it. They have some insanely good prices lately but I refuse to try them again because of this policy, same with Superloop.

    • That’s an unfair contract term which is illegal

  • so are we saying if we connect up to 500/50, i will only be paying $47 per month?

    logic: [ ($65 x 6) - 110 ] / 6

    • Is Superloop better or Dodo? - numbers are pretty similar.

      Dodo: [ $62.99 x 6) - 100] / 6 = $46.32 per month.

      • can't say for Superloop, but I'm currently with Dodo. They increased the price less than 30 days safter I switched. Over 4-5 months we had an outage, and I had to contact support when they didn't upgrade my speed well into October :/ overall it wasn't bad but I'm switching to Superloop for the cashback.

  • +3

How does a scheduled future connection impact cashback?

    • I would be keen to know the answer to this too. Would the cashback event be triggered upon the initial order, or only when the actual connection is initiated in a few months (in which case the cashback may or may not have expired?)

      • +3

"Customers are able to nominate a later connection date and receive cashback provided you remain a customer for at least 90 days after placing your NBN order."

  • My larger TC cashbacks including a previous $95 Superloop signup never track.

  • Not churned for a long time. On NBN HFC 500 now with Telstra - will Superloop handle the Telstra cancellation, or will I need to schedule cutover and manage?

    • Most of the providers need 1 month notice for cancellation. Call up Telstra and give them notice if needed. And chose future date for superloop activation.

      • Not on a contract, so assume ok. Worth a punt anyway I guess.

  • I am with exetel from June-top cash back has confirmed the purchase but not yet paid.do I loose that $100 if I move out now or they will still pay.

    • Would like to know too

      • Still awaiting for payment.

  • Getting 1000/100 for $65 a month with origin, don't think it's worth the switch yet

    • how..

  • +1

Signed up with Superloop last year during their BF sale - anyone know when that's scheduled to end? When should I churn away with the 30 day period that they have?

  • does this stack with using superloop's referral code? or should we avoid using a referral code to be safe?

    • Curious about this, did you pull the trigger yet?

      • +1

Yeah, just skipped the referral code to be safe. High risk for low/no benefit.

        • Me too. It says codes so yeah

  • Do you have to be the homeowner to get the cashback? I remember I couldn't get cashback with Amaysim (don't recall if it was topcashback) because my name and homeowner's name was different.
(and if that is a requirement could I just use the homeowner's name when signing up? He's a family member so wouldn't care)

    • Renter not appreciated™

    • Of course you can. Just use a clean browser without adblock etc and go via the topcashback link and you'll get it. Renter/owner doesn't make any difference.

  • +1

mm.. I cant get past the account creation page on superloop website…
    anyone is having same issue?
after filling up the page, it spins for a bit & then does nothing.

    • same. right after you enter your details?

    • same issue, was coming here to check if someone else has had the same problem. Tried on iphone then on laptop, still doesn't seem to accept my email when signing up.

      • +2

i have tried safari/ chrome on mobile, also on website..
        all have same issue.

edit update: just spoke to a guy in superloop, they are also having issue with their own website xD

    • +1

Unable to signup. They messed up the CORS as I observed.

Quite bad site reliability that they are allowing that tiny mistake to consistently happen for an hour in working hours IMHO.

Now I'm doubting their NBN quality would be the same.

      • devs and network engineers wouldn't be the same haha

    • +1

      Seems fixed.

And seems they only allow nbn switches in 28 days after max.

      Gonna skip this deal unfortunately.

  • Does anyone know about the payment of the Wi-Fi routers? It seems to be an additional cost if you are new to NBN. The Wi-Fi router is free only when you stay connected for 36 months.

    • Good news is you might be able to grab a router with black friday coming. Or using another Temu 50% cashback if one comes up.
