Hey Oz Bargain Community,

If you're flat chat just skip to the info and links in bold below :)

Hold onto your hats because this super deal is a two-fold celebration. First, this deal kicks off the Black Friday Cyber Monday (BFCM) wild season for us. Second, we have received the first shipment of custom bags from our new supplier, which I'm so happy about from both quality perspectives (I think they've done an outstanding job) and supply perspectives (fantastic to deal with and plenty of stock at our HQ). We now have months and months and months of custom bag stock on hand. Unfortunately our bag prior supplier just wasn't cutting the mustard, things started off really well, but then there was some staff movement on their side and things went down hill in the background (on the surface all seemed to be business as usual) fairly rapidly…putting it mildly there was a bunch of mixed messaging shenanigans and ball dropping going on by them which has all come to light recently. Anyway these things happen in business, it was a learning experience, so lesson learned. My apologies for a bit of pot luck guessing from time to time recently whether your order would be sent in custom bags or plain kraft bags and I'm very relieved to hopefully put an end to that guessing game (if there's a next guessing game I'll do my best to make it a positive fun one haha) for the foreseeable future given we now have a slightly (drastic understatement haha) wild amount of custom bags at our HQ. Ramble complete, now it's time for the double celebration coffee party to commence, we are offering a super wild 50% SAVING on our 3 most beloved (with very good reason) Single Origin Coffees, this is a deal you won't (hopefully) want to miss!

You can score a 50% saving off our famously delicious Brazil São Paulo Single Origin, incredibly wonderful Colombia Cauca Single Origin and also our amazing, sweet, hug in a mug Peru Chanchamayo Grade 1 Organic Single Origin. As an added bonus I've also opened up available future dispatch dates from as soon as tomorrow and all the way to the 30th of June next year, so if the amazing coffees featured in this deal sounds like your ticket to path to outstanding morning's then you'll really be able to make the most of this special deal by utilising our unique scheduled/delayed dispatch feature, essentially it's an opportunity to freeze pricing in it's tracks for the next ~8 months by ordering in advance now, for example if you place 8 separate 1kg orders with dispatch dates 1 months apart you'd save $235.60 via the deal across the 8 orders, more details below:

1) Peru Chanchamayo Grade 1 Organic Single Origin, only $29.45 per 1kg (usually $58.90 per 1kg) and $16.73 per 500g (usually $33.45 per 500g)

2) Brazil São Paulo Single Origin, only $29.45 per 1kg (usually $58.90 per 1kg) and $16.73 per 500g (usually $33.45 per 500g)

3) Colombia Cauca Single Origin, only $29.45 per 1kg (usually $58.90 per 1kg) and $16.73 per 500g (usually $33.45 per 500g)

Deal valid for orders placed until Tuesday 18/11/2025, unless sold out before. Dispatch can happen for you as near as tomorrow and as far as the last Tuesday in June (30/06/2026). Once a given dispatch date is at full capacity the green circle will be removed and date will turn red, first in best dressed :)

Some helpful info:

  • You're welcome to place multiple orders scheduled for dispatch at various dates (delayed dispatch) to make the most of this deal, we strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 72 business hours of roasting
  • We're happy to accommodate dispatch date and click and collect/pickup changes, you just need to select a new dispatch date either via clicking the "Edit or View Your Order" button in the order confirmation page or simply logging into you Lime Blue Coffee account at least the day before the current date you have selected for your order
  • One dispatch per order
  • Please ensure you use the "shipping" dispatch date selector on the cart page if you'd like your order delivered to you and that you use the "click and collect" date/time selector if you'd like to pickup your order. If you plan to pickup your order please ensure you select the "pickup in store" delivery option on the checkout page, as this not only eliminates the shipping fee for you, but also allocates your order to the click and collect system we have in place, so it means you'll receive different notification messaging to assist you towards a smooth pickup experience
  • Any existing orders are unable to be changed from delivery to click and collect due to the different tech systems in place
  • If you select 500g as a quantity please ensure you also select 500g as the packaging option. If 500g is selected as a quantity with 1kg as the packaging selection the product will show as "unavailable"
  • 500g bag packaging (it's resealable) is also available for orders larger than 500g this is an extra $4.00 per kg including the discount (normally $8 extra per kg) to cover the extra bag/s, label/s and time it takes to pack
  • Complimentary gift notes can be submitted via a reply message to your order confirmation email
  • The largest bag size we use is 1kg and it has a zip (it's resealable), for example if you order 4kg with 1kg packaging you will receive 4 x 1kg bags, you will not receive a single huge 4kg bag

FREE SHIPPING for orders over $75. For example, 2.5kg in any combination of either Single Origin via this deal is $75.63 thus unlocks the highly sought after FREE SHIPPING. We recommend freezing any excess bags purchased to quality for free shipping, without compromising on enjoying fresh coffee.

For anyone considering it, my review is that its comparable to Aldi coffee.

    • +16

Are you kidding me? Last 2 times I got Lime Blue beans, they had that freshly roasted taste. Supermarket coffee beans never taste like that.

      • +2

Yep, freshly roasted, fast shipping, and always tastes great. For the price you are paying, they are fantastic.

    • +3

Now I'm tempted to order some to try.
In all seriousness they can't be that bad?
My wife bought some Aldi beans recently because "she heard they're ok" and are something like 1/3 the price of the beans we buy from a local roaster.
Objectivity they are garbage, they taste like old leather shoes and smell like them too.

I'm not a fan of the fact these guys essentially post twice or 3 times a month with close to identical deals but at least be honest if you're going to leave a review.

If they have a 250g bag I'm going to order and leave my own review.

      • Sao Paolo excellent for lattes.

Really liked the Nectar of the Gods, the Apple Crumble one and also the Colombia Cauca. Peru was good, as was Moments to Memories but not as enjoyable to me at least as those other 4.

Aldi - ok for lattes, otherwise a bit dull.

    • +1

Can you remind me how to decipher the roast date on Aldi coffee? Thinking to give aldi another go after the free delivery quota went up for lime Blue

      • +3

The third row has the roast date. Example from a bag I bought last week:

        Best before
        20 Jan 2027
        B 251020 22:13

My understanding is this means it was roasted on 20th of October, and best to consume within threee months.

        Hope this helps!

        • +1

Thanks! Looks like you got a fresh batch.

I will try ALDI Colombian and see if they're any good for filter.

    • +1

I've ordered from them multiple times and tried all their beans, they are better than Aldi beans. However, $30 a kg is all it's worth. The 50% "sale" price is their RRP.

      • Why are they worth $30/kg

    • +2

I've been getting these since air Jo stopped, sometimes prior.
      I think they're great.

They maybe get stale a little faster than I'd expect but could be in my head

      • +4

Nah it’s not just you, the crema from these guys are no near what I get from other specialty roasted bean places with the same period after roast dates. Not sure if something wrong in their packing/sealing process…Other than their coffee is fine.

        • Nice to have that confirmed from someone else :)

      • +2

Yep same experience as mine, they do go stale a lot quicker.

      • +1

Hey @teacherer fantastic to know you think our fresh coffee is great, thank you so much for the terrific orders and compliment it really does mean so much!!!

Without comparing like for like and more of a generic comment, our coffee is generally on the lighter side of a typical industry standard medium roast, which means the coffee is denser, less porous and thus stays fresher a bit longer than an industry standard medium or dark roast. Generally speaking coffee is best enjoyed within roughly a month of the roast date unless you freeze it as that'll extend the freshness while frozen for months. It takes a few months out of the freezer for it to be notably stale. The distinct sign the coffee has gone stale is a very strong Liquorice/aniseed aroma as a primary and singular note. If you're you're experiencing watery shots, lacking thick Lucious crema, perhaps on the sour side within about a month of the roast date, then it means the shot is channelling…essentially the dose is too high, grind too fine or both, causing too much pressure to build thus the water escapes via the path of least resistance which essentially bypassed the coffee. The solution to prevent channelling and replace it with a wonderfully delicious shot is fairly simple and I'm always happy to help, if it sounds like channelling may be the culprit please simply send a reply email to your order confirmation mentioning this comment and we'll take things from there :)

        • +2

          G'day, thanks for reaching out.

I grind with a niche zero, my main observation is that I need to adjust my grind finer every couple of days to reach a 1:2 espresso shot, and with other beans, these adjustments are not required as frequently, hence me inferring they are going stale faster.

This is whether they are fresh out of the bag, or from the 200g vacuum sealed bags that I seal and freeze upon receipt. I make sure that the beans are only in the Fellow Atmos Coffee Vacuum Canister for a maximum of 2 weeks.

I don't take note of crema as often as I should, as I mainly make milk drinks.

I don't find I have much of a channeling problem. I use bottomless portafilter with WDT and then an OCD style distribution tool.

If you have any other advice I'd welcome it

          • @lilviss: Very helpful insight @teacherer and it sounds like you've got a terrific set up!

Coffee can be a tricky game of opposites, where you think you need to go finer to slow down the shot which does make sense and is often true. However, when you actually need to go coarser and you go finer, then you need to keep going finer and you see results that make sense, but as you keep going finer you keep getting further and further from the needed solution. A bottomless portafilter can be quite helpful to quickly identify channelling, if it sprays like a hose with a kink then it's channelling. However, not all channelling can be observed with a bottomless portafilter. A few quick questions:

            1) Which specific coffee are we talking about?
            2) Aside from needing to go finer each day at some point, what flavour properties are standing out? Is the flavour sharp, bland, bitter..?
            3) What does the used coffee puck look like right after the shot while still in the basket and once you knock it out of the basket?
            4) What espresso machine are you using? How much ground coffee are you doing in? How long is the shot taking?

        • “our coffee is generally on the lighter side of a typical industry standard medium roast”

Ok this explains it, to my understanding light roasted beans have less crema , coffee taste fine so all good

          • +1

@bowtiehoon: Hey @bowtiehoon how fantastic to know you're enjoying the taste of our coffee, thank you so much for the terrific compliment!

You are correct, depending on the length of time since the roast date. Darker roasts generally has more crema closer to the roast date than lighter roasts, simply because the darker the roast the more carbon dioxide needs to off gas, so pulling a shot of a dark roast soon after the roast date will have crema looking like a mini volcanic eruption. On the flip side, as darker roasts are generally more porous/less dense than lighter roasts, once off gassing is near completion the darker roast will oxidise quicker and thus generally have less crema compared to lighter roasted the further is gets from the roast date. Furthermore, due to density differences switching from a darker roast to a lighter roast without a notable grind setting change will likely lead to channelling, which will result in a thinner crema. Hope this clarifies more than confuses :)

Opposite experience for me, never rated Aldi brand personally.

    • +4

I couldn't disagree more! The ALDI coffee is, in my opinion not even in the same class as this, it's just a generic super market coffee that doesn't taste good at all.
I've been getting 90% of my coffee through Lime Blue for years now and have never been disappointed. While I'm not a coffee snob, I have tried a number of highly rated roasters in the Melbourne, and while some are a little better, they are not enough better for me to want to pay 3x the price.

On the side note, any chance of bringing back the mystery flight, it was a great way to try a few different single origins.

    • +2

Crazy take comparing these to Aldi coffee.

Limeblue punches above it's weight considering the price even with shipping, especially their S/Os.

Having tried many of the offerings from Ozb, Limeblue is an easy regular buy with other, more specialised brands sprinkled in.

    • +1

Aldi - my last 2 bags of Brazil SO ($27.99) have been very consistent for grinding and shot, with a long smooth taste. Had some LB a couple of specials ago and a bit more inconsistent.

    • +1

I got Apple Crumble and Moments to Memories, they are rated as popular here and on their website. The pro is that these were some of the freshest beans I've ever had, I was really impressed. Felt like they shipped them seconds after roasting. Unfortunately, they didn't taste at all like what it said on the packet, in fact, I could barely tell the difference between them. That, and they were really weak, flavor wise. If I do 15g of Aldi coffee, boy howdy can I taste it, it's strong. Pretty one note, but it's there. I think you should give these beans a go if you drink espresso/long black sort of thing. It could also be that I am not a great barista and didn't get the max out of these beans, or I diluted them with milk.

      • I agree that LB is ok but nothing special, and that Aldi is good value for money… but it sounds like you just have a strong preference for darker roasts.

        • Brazil SO may be more suited, strong in lattes. Moments to Memories good but not as standout. Really liked Columbia Cauca as espresso or long black.

    • +1

This is a really bad take. We ran out of LB beans once and decided to make cold brew with the equivalent Aldi beans. Undrinkable. This stuff is fantastic in comparison.

    • Comparable to other roastery such as Inglewood or Code Black etc.. not a supermarket bean.

    • I was using aldi for a long time.

But with the price increases, this is just just better and worth the price differential with aldi give the current prices.

    • Just try to find fresh batch and there will be no reason to hate Aldi, if it still sucks, your process is flawed

  • Is the time machine free? (Disp Upto 30/06/25 in title) :)

    • haha good point and nice detail pick up, much appreciated @Gav should have had that second cup of coffee before hitting submit, all fixed now :)

  • +1

I wasn't sure the first time either but have been with them for more than a year and 10 bags at least.
If you like your coffee dark and bitter maybe not for you, but their coffee smells nice, fresh and full of flavour.
    Personally it's worth the price.

    • Music to my ears @jackwangxp absolutely wonderful to hear!!!

Thank you so much for you amazing orders and outstandingly positive, uplifting vote of confidence, it really does mean a lot :)

  • +2

Giving the Sao Paulo a try and will report back.
Hopefully in not stuck with 500g of a coffee I don't like

    • +1

I usually stick with their Moments to Memories and Thank You Blend, but I decided to try one of their single-origin bags for espresso and didn’t like it. Then I made it as a cappuccino and it was actually good with milk.

    • Fantastic to hear, thank you so much for the order and opportunity @DeToxin it's sincerely appreciated and something we won't take for granted!

Fingers crossed you finish every last bean in the bag :)

    • Sao Paulo is the one, if you like coffee with milk. Magnificent.

Is it just me or does this website look like it was made for a high school IT class project? If your product is good and you likely do good business why not make your website look the part? Just some basic Feedback no malice intended.

    • +2

It's a pretty basic shopify page, which I like. There are a few things which are a bit unnecessary (the flying in animation) and not quite coded right (the grey CSS links that move on hover) but otherwise I like it. They don't need a super over the top design considering they have two product categories and an order tracking page.

      • Hey @miicah appreciate the helpful feedback and I'm glad you like the simplicity of our site :)

I'm not quite sure what "the flying in animation" is or the "links the move on hover," if you have the time and wouldn't mind elaborating that'd be great as I'd like to be on the same page and fix the basics if I can (thus far I generally just google things I've wanted to ad and use the results to figure out how to change the code)?

        • Just the 'fresh coffee' page as the images load they fly in from the bottom. Also I can't replicate it every time but sometimes when you hover over a coffee title, it jumps down, like it's adding some padding or changing an invisible border.

    • +2

Hey @Fuzzyduck that's a fairly accurate interpretation of the front end of the site, given I'm the one that run it with out coding or graphic design experience, it simply functions. All our money goes into the quality of our coffee, operations and back end of the site to enable us to punch about our weight. Making it look nice (front end coding) is on the agenda, but a little way down on the to do list from both cash and more pressing matter perspectives. However, I do appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts in such a constructive tone, I agree work is needed to make the site look nice and it is important too, at present and historically it's just a case on resource priorities given we're a relatively small company so a dollar can only go in so many direction our core focus from inception has been putting our money into the quality of our coffee and behind the scenes operations first and making everything look visually appealing second :)

  • Can you do the Indian SO for the same price? I’ve already got a delayed shipment coming but will put another in if you can

    • Hey @jjno41 never hurts to ask!

At present the current listed price for India is what's viably available. It is a little bit pricier than this deal, but not wildly more expensive, so perhaps you could just get a small bag to tie you over, or give a coffee featured in this deal a shot instead :)

  • Any chance you can do some filter specific roasts?

I like your beans for espresso but they've never quite hit the mark for me as filter

  • Hi OP. Which beans do you recommend for cold brew?

    • Hey @recession1 a few options come to mind on that front…

Please let me know if your aim is, chocolatey, caramel, fruity or a combo or notes? Also, preference for low, medium or a high acidity kick?

  • Hmmm do I buy this now or wait for Black Friday… 🤔

    • hmm @iamgeo decisions decisions…the deal of tomorrow is promised to no one, so if I can put my two cents in without sounding too biased, I'd recommend placing an order via today's deal and if you see a deal that appears more to your prior to your dispatch date, simply open your order confirmation email, then click the "edit or view your order" button and simply switch out products as needed :)

p.s. please edit the existing order if possible rather than doing a full cancellation only to place a new order straight away as we lose money on cancelled orders because payment processing fees don't get refunded to us, added bonus if an edit rather than cancelation and reorder save's you some time on life admin and admin saving is always a big win!

  • Another 2kgs order :) Honduras, Peru, Moments & Columbia!

    • +1

WOW @ringofan what a wonderful combo order, thank you so much for another fantastic order and your continued support, it's sincerely appreciated and I truly hope you have a terrific coffee party!!!

  • Just ordered moments combo, Peru and Honduras to try.

    • Amazing combo order @Colombian thank you sincerely, it really does mean a lot to us :) :) :)

  • Peru was next level 🔥🔥🔥
