On sale is one of Lenovo's latest Xiaoxin tablets and more high end than the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro despite the smaller screen coming in at 11.1". While this does have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, I believe it's the recently introduced 6 core variant (instead of 8) that's more power efficient, but still provides excellent performance for gaming/emulation. For further savings join Team OzBargain to get 10% back as AliExpress credit. This deal does not stack with TCB/SB.

If you prefer 256GB storage you can get it in grey or white for US$233.48, or the 12GB/256GB variant for US$252.08 with coupon AU1176 or AUOF70 or AUWF70

Then download Google Play from the Application Center or sideload an apk yourself.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

AliExpress trade in USD and the ~ before the AUD price in the deal means about or roughly. Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate.

why do you do this to me @Clear , just as I'm looking to pull trigger on 3 Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro you post this and get me all indecisive again!!

    • -1

I'd buy OLED or similar over this every time IMHO - I spend too much time looking at displays to suffer LCD. Also, no Cellular.

  • +1

Damn. Only just purchased the 8/256 Pad Pro last week and it's coming tomorrow in the mail. Oh well - still definitely happy with what I purchased. It's going to be purely for media and streaming for me so I'd prefer the bigger screen. @Clear are there any recommended cases you might know of for the Pad Pro? TIA

    • +3

You'll be happy with your purchase.

I got the 2023 version for Stremio, IPTV etc and no complaints

      • +2

Thanks for the vote of confidence. FOMO won't defeat me today. Seeing that this tablet is 800nits compared to the pad pro's 400nits, as well as having a higher pixel density was a tad disheartening to see - but hey - hindsight is 20/20.

    • I think we ordered around the same time. Mine has been stuck since November 10, the status hasn’t changed since “Import customs clearance completed” at 13:26 How long did it take for yours after that ?

      • It took me around 2 days to clear customs. I always get my stuff delivered to a Parcel Locker. I'm not sure if that's changed anything. I'm based in Brisbane.

  • +11

Just a heads up no sd card on this tablet

  • +5

Hi Clear. Really appreciate the tablet posts you do. Helped me get the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 a while back. Have you noticed any other OLED tablets that are good value? Noticed the newer versions are mainly LCD

    • samsung with a trade in deal. really happy with my tab and its still getting updates 3 years on

    • +1

Yeah, I'm still using the 2022 OLED version. The screen is awesome. Only Android 14, but it's still fine for what I use it for.

I wouldn't mind an upgrade, but it would be hard to go back to LCD

      • yep, same - i got the 2025 LCD and went back to the 2022 OLED with sd 8.1 for my regular use. if only they brought out oled panels again. their LCD screens aren't great - ours has been regulated to the kitchen for recipes/playing music/shows in the background while cooking.

    • +1 for this question. I feel like an OLED in a tablet is such a benefit (e-reading and watching content at night)

  • that is a f**kn bargain!

  • For anyone that has this tablet, how is the screen? Is it good for movies?

  • How long are the software updates on these? Also will Cn version limit anything for use in Aus? Looks like a great deal considering SD chips are not cheap.

Also thanks for the USD payment tip, I had never considered that despite buying frequently from Aliexpress.

    • Featuring ZUI 16 (Android 15, 3 years of OS upgrades)

      Ah I missed this

  • Does using PayPal to pay in USD affect exchange rate at all?

    • +1

I think you get a worse rate with USD via PayPal. Best to select USD to be paid by your linked card

  • -1

Been out of the market for a table for a while now.
How this compare to the latest Samsung?

    • +1

      It is approx 1k cheaper

  • Which is better this or the Y700 2025 that was also posted?

    • Y700 2025 gets you the 8 core variant. If you prefer the smaller size get that.

    • They are 8" and 11" so you need to decide which size you are after.
I'd say smaller is for gaming while bigger for movies etc

  • Saw that the Pro suspiciously went out of stock right after 7pm yesterday which is probably the one I wanted more

But this is tempting as an option too - hard to tell which size I'd prefer to be honest…..

    • You'd need to see a side by side comparison of 11 inches vs 12.7 inches to be sure. Don't forget the 800nits vs. 400nits between the Pad Pro GT and Pad Pro.

      • +1

I got so many 13-16 inch laptops already so maybe a smaller tablet like this is good to have actually.

EDIT - pulled the trigger on the 12gb of this one

Figure it really is meant to be media consumption which I think the size is better suited for

  • Have this for the last few months. Great tablet for the price.

Only issues is no global rom I can see but the google installs fine and works for everything.

Also cant seem to register my work as they block Chinese tablets.

    • Can you test if duolingo work with this?

  • Can anyone confirm if the tablet has DisplayPort Alternate Mode enabled?

  • has anyone tried Super Display from the google play store on this? I want to use it as an extended monitor through wifi.

    • If this is similar to the Pad Pro, Lenovo have their own app solely for this called Lenovo Smart Connect that you install the app on the tablet and also on your PC, and Windows sees it like any normal monitor, over wifi.
You can also do similar wired afaik.

  • Its come down to $308 for me

    • +1

First purchase on AliExpress? It may be stacking with the new user discount.

  • Are these easy to setup in english?

  • Has this got expandable memory with an SD card, google is giving conflicting infomation

    • +4

      It does not.

  • Would be interesting to know the impact on emulation performance going from the 8 core to 6 core. Assuming the GPU is still the same?

    • +1

Same GPU. In terms of benchmarks I know Antutu V11 goes from 2.1m to 1.88m. Doesn't seem like a massive dip.

  • +3

I use this in my car for GPS, Spotify, and Amazon Music with my phone’s data. I bought a CD-slot magnetic holder from Amazon to hold it.

  • Any reqs for something a little lower spec, ~$250 mark for kids (roblox, youtube, etc) this seems a little on the higher end

    • Maybe the non GT Pad Pro?

    • I’m about to order the regular Lenovo xiaoxin Pad 11 2025 for my kids which seems about right. Only $160ish for 6GB/128GB or a bit more for 8GB

  • Are these any good for VCE if paired up with a keyboard?

looking at something light to get through years 10-12. If not, any recommendations?

    • I got a second hand surface laptop 4 recently and it's been great for my kid's schoolwork as well as a media device.
I also have the idea tab pro (12.7 inch) and it works well with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard in a pinch - don't know about using it to study every day though

    • Saw some sellers with Dynabook Portege X30L-J for ~$250 on ebay, pretty good laptop considering it's 900 grams, should be similar in weight to the Xiaoxin with a keyboard. If you want a tablet then this Xiaoxin should be fine.

  • Order closed
We had to close this order due to account security concerns. Error Code: SC_1

    wtf

    • Have you made multiple accounts? Or multiple who send to your address.

  • how is this for emulation with a ps5 controller?

  • I'm tossing up buying a Samsung A9+ to use with Home Assistant primarily but keep seeing these tables coming up here. Can anyone advise if this is easy to change to English Settings, install the Google Play store etc. From reading comments seems like it's easy enough to do?

    • Very easy. Once done you'll barely notice.

  • Will Netflix work on this device?

  • Has anyone's order shipped yet? My order was placed on the 12th.

    • I ordered on the 13th, with shipping on the 15th.

    • Ordered on the 16th, hasnt shipped yet :(

      • Did you order the 129gb or 256gb one?

    • ordered 256 on the 12th as well and mine still not shipped

    • Ordered on the 12th, alongside a keyboard case and a standard stand cover. The two ccases arrived today, but no tablet. Showing as all delivered… :(

    • Ordered 12+256 on 13th, asked me to either cancel or accept the 8+256 wirh price differemce refunded as they need over 30 days to get stock.

They arent able to tell me what the difference will be and just want me to agree to 8+256 and refund the differemce after I recieve. Naturally I insisted i want to know the price before making a decision.

      • ordered the same thing (12+256) on the 16th and just shipped. They didnt contact me about the downgrade, I hope they've shipped the correct item

        • If they didn't reach out you might get lucky.
Ended up cancelling, money was refunded instantly.

          • @Hectic Vic: I think they gave me fake tracking number hmm

            • @xphonerz: Looks like same for me. Got two tracking numbers (one replaced another a day later). Neither of them show any progress.

    • I ordered mine on 15/11 and still not ship yet. I ask in the chat they told me be patient :(

  • Mine arrived yesterday and the tablet is amazing!

I also got the Lenovo AP501U stylus. But since it doesn't wirelessly charge, every time I use the pen, there's a notification that keeps coming up saying "Attach the pen to the magnetic position to charge". Any ideas how to turn this off? Thanks in advance!

  • +2

For those who've received a message about a shipment delay I've spoken to AliExpress and here's the response below. Feel free to reach out to me with your order number if you're not satisfied and I'll pass it along.

Just confirmed the details: Of the remaining 17 unshipped orders, 11 units (8 + 128GB) will be shipped by Monday at the latest. The Hong Kong office is closed today, but we’ve asked colleagues to help expedite processing and if possible, arrange separate overtime shipments.

The remaining 6 orders use a specific memory configuration (12 + 256GB) that the grey warehouse has been unable to locate. If these orders aren’t shipped within the required timeframe, the system will automatically cancel them. We’ve contacted the customers to ask whether they’re willing to switch to the same memory option in white, or if they prefer a refund and a different configuration instead.

For these six out-of-stock orders, we’ll issue each customer a $5 discount coupon as an apology, and our team has been asked to follow up.

  • You can still get Pad Pro GT 8/256 for US $223.29 (345.12 AUD) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009821107985.html

  • Received mine today. Just trying to set it up.
The plug adapter received with it was EU instead of AU so that’s a little bit of a pain but only small.
Here’s hoping I can set it up OK 🤞🏻

  • Got mine today. So far seems okay. Was able to install Google play, but alot of the system language is still in Chinese. Have been unable to find a proper guide to change things around.

Hi @CemOz, I found instructions on another post linked higher up in the comments. I will paste here for you and others’ reference as it helped me set up mine:

      • Connect to Wi-Fi.
      • Update system Twice. Settings > About Tablet > System Update
      • Turn on Google Services. Settings > Apps > Google Basic Services (at the bottom of the screen) > Activate 'Google Basic Services'
      • Download Google Play Store from their App Store, use a USB C stick, or use their Internet Browser and download from a website (refer note below)
      • Once installed, login to Google Services.
      • Start with Gboard to replace its keyboard.
      • Get all the Google services you want
      • Get a new UI, like Smart Launcher 6 (from App Store). Set new UI to be the default.
      • Disable or uninstall all the Chinese apps you can or want.
I couldn't uninstall or disable their UI and app store, so I set all the permissions to deny, and battery usage to restricted so it wouldn't consume resources.

Note: you will likely need to use the google translate camera on your phone to be able to download google play store from the default Chinese App Store. Unless of course you can read Chinese. That part is probably the hardest of these instructions.

Now mine is setup with all the apps that I want and none of the ones I don’t. Am very happy with this purchase!!

      • +1

        Ah sweet, thankyou!

I did most of this, but will try the UI change. Still pretty impressed with it.
