Does anyone know if this is eligible for Shopback? Or are we better off using vouchers and store credit.

Shopback exclusions note "Store promotions, discounts or special deals unless otherwise stated"

  • Got these clunky bricks… Been 70km and still firm with no rebound.

Hoping they break in and get bouncy at some point.

Retired mine after nearly 1200km. Fantastic shoe. I'm light (60kg Male), forefoot striker and never found them super bouncy.
But they felt as comfy at 30odd km's in as they did at 3 k's into a run. Fantastic and lightweight long run shoe.

      • Have you tried the Novablast 5s? I'm at 200km and wondering when I should be expecting the bounce to disappear. I was gonna get the superblasts but then read quite a few reviews saying the novablasts are better value and almost the same.

    • There seems to be vary experiences of people breaking into these shoes. Some say they are good straight from box and I've read others start loving it after 100km.

Hope you feel the bounce in yours soon!

      • Still a good deal though! Hard to get it under RRP.

    • I thought these were supposed to be more on the 'responsive' side compared to shoes like the Novablast, Kayano, and Nimbus

      • I got mine on the advice of a mate. He's a bigger bloke, midfoot / heel striker and he felt they were like trampolines after about 50 or so km's.
I think it really depends on weight and footstrike as to what you'll get out of a certain shoe sometimes. I'm definitely no expert though.

      • Neither responsive or propulsive for me atm.

I'd pick Nimbus 26 over the Superblast 2 at this stage.

Some people need a couple hundred km to break the Superblast in.

        M 71kg, 174cm.

        • a few more laps around the Torrens Phil.

          • @bugsbunny: 🤣 What in the world… Give me another 100km and I'll report back.

    • I have had around 4 pairs of these and some break in faster than others. Excellent all rounder shoes

      • Can you advise of the variance in break in process? What's the avg km?

    • I’m 177cm & 65kg, forefoot/midfoot striker. These have become my favourite shoes (just bought my 3rd pair). I was sceptical at first, but really appreciated them on long runs and have found they’re just as good for tempo/harder efforts.
2 current pairs at about 650km’s & 250km’s. I switched out my first pair towards the end of my marathon training to protect my legs, but now running in the first pair again. Plenty of life left.

I definitely shouldn’t have checked OzB before bed. But here we are with yet another impulse running shoe purchase.

    Thanks OP!

  • Lots of shoe experts in here. Any recommendations for comfortable and extra bouncy shoes for normal walking and jogging?

    • Yeah, check out the Brooks Glycerin Max

Good find. I've cycled through a lot of running shoes that don't really work for me, and the Superblast 2 is the one that clicked for long runs for me. It's rare to see them in stock, let alone on sale, so grabbed a replacement pair to stash away for now.
