My friend was asking for a recommendation for a headset and I had to recommend the headset I've already got and then I noticed it's a pretty good price at the moment.

I bought it last week. The one i got is MFD 2023 . I believe this is not Australia stock. I see a very tiny scratch near the port.
Keep in mind this price level is same as china TAOBAO price. Factory refurbished but 99% new. Most likely the product that customers returned.
The brand new is more expensive at taobao.
If you have bought it, please report back.
I didn't return it as the headphone is very good after tweaking with GG sonar

My friend plans on buying this tonight, there is options on amazon to buy a used one and save like 60 bucks. Not sure if I'd do it, I'd just prefer new with the new warranty.
I've had mine since 2023 and highly recommend it.

Is this because you prefer microphone on headset. As I'm sure there are much better standalone headphones with a separate mic

People probably get it for the wireless part as well, most of the headphones you and I are thinking of are not likely going to be wireless.

All of your posts have long descriptions bro.

Yeah from 5 years ago when i was young and dumb

I wonder if we get better prices with black Friday sales

Anyone contemplating—Don’t. This headset blows real major ass. Huge downgrade in build quality from previous generation, and you are forced to use their garbage software in order to have all the features. I’ve seen this model rot on marketplace for sub $350.

Got this (in a roundabout way) because of dual Bluetooth + low latency wireless. Bought a set with a busted transmitter for $150, then found a new base unit for $50 and a pair of 'Li-40B' generic camera batteries for $10. Also upgraded the earpads and then 3d-printed some spacers.
Quick-swap batteries are nice OK, audio sounds good but noise cancelling is fairly insubstantial. Integrated mic is nice that it tucks away so it looks like any other standard pair of headphones in public. The NC mics inside the pads are horrendous, but adding a 5mm 3d-printed spacer has made it significantly more bearable; they're very comfy otherwise.
Wouldn't bother at anything more than $350.

i think the logitech one is best overall (they all trash value, and build compare to normal wireless headphones), but among the "gaming" themed ones, hyperX is probably the best reputation ones.

i dont recommend these steelseries models with the "J" style cup hinges. It puts a lot of pressure onto a small area and will often crack the plastic. Common problem that i also experienced after a year of purchase.

Coincidence this has just been posted because I just came to this website to see if there was a headset deal going - I have the arctis nova 7 headset currently but my wireless dongle broke (I can still use it as bluetooth but the sound quality degrades if you are on discord/any other program using the mic) a replacement dongle seems to be about 60-80 dollars! At that price you really start looking at just buying a new headset (which is probably intentional)
