  • How much to install these in Syd and would most air techs install.. im sure they would like to provide their own ac to make more $? Good deal though.

      • Thanks do they install owner supplied aircon or only from TGG?

        • why not? they make money on the installation service.

        • Any and all. They are not TGG employees, all mine was installed by the same guy over the year and only the first time was through TGG. I then got his number and contacted him directly.

Depends on how the AC to be placed( back to back, right to back, etc.), just got one bundle roughly $1500 inc labour and AC(brand: ME, Daikin, Fujitsu

2.1kw unit will cool a bedroom in winter. I would be looking at 3.5kw for a 16sq.m bedroom in summer and even then of it's in afternoon sun it will struggle on the hottest days. For only $70 more it's an even easier decision to go the 3.5kw.

An oversized air conditioner cycles on and off frequently - a problem known as 'short cycling' - because it cools your home too quickly. As a result, it doesn’t run long enough to remove humidity, leaving the air feeling damp or stuffy and the constant restarting wastes energy and reduces overall efficiency.

Select the right size AC based on the sizing chart rather than the dollar amount.

    • 3.5kw for 16sqm is a joke, we're talking about a bedroom not a greenhouse, you don't seem to have any understanding about sizing the unit for the application, oversizing a unit introduces inefficiency and other issues. And to top it off, 99% of people use their bedroom splits for summer nights where there's not even any heatload. You've made ridiculous comments about air con sizing before, just stop.

      • I had one that size in a west facing bedroom, in a townhouse so shaded on three sides and it was complete junk. First hand experience.

time to replace your current ac, 3.5kw ac for a 16sqm is huge

The post is about Hyundai air cons but later talks about TCL. Isn't Hyundai a Korean brand & TCL Chinese?

3,5kw is now 699, pathetic by kogan.
