Ozito PXC 36V (2x 18V) Brushless Jet Blower 4.0Ah Kit $159 Delivered / C&C / In-Store @ Bunnings

1640

These have been discounted once more, $20 cheaper (yes, again) compared to the recent deal.

I've been eyeing these but procrastinating getting one, and it paid off (literally) when I refreshed the product page today to see it even cheaper. Just went in person to pick one up from my local Bunnings and can confirm it's $159 despite physical price labels still saying $179.

EDIT: A lot of people are reporting this OOS. Stock levels will vary greatly depending on where you live.

  • Picked one up yesterday for $179. Do Bunnings price match? Or should I get another one and return on the old invoice.

    • +7

Get another and return on old invoice.

    • They won't price match other stores. Unless the off chance you get a pretty chill worker. My local has an old guy running the tool shop most evenings and he'll do it. No one else will.

    • In the same shoes. I contacted their online team, and they suggested returning the old one and purchasing a new one. But couldn't add it to cart.

    • +1

I took mine back today. Purchased at $179 on Tuesday and they did a return and resale in a single transaction with $20 refunded to my card.

      Very easy.

      • Yeah. Did the same.

      • I went to the shop, but there was no stock. I just showed them the $179 invoice, and they agreed to return it and repurchase. Save $20! Really good customer experience!

      • Will they honor this by Saturday? bough mine last week but won't be able to make in-store till weekend.

  • @MS Paint I'm definitely getting one to blow dry my plane now 😜😜 wbu?

    • Sticking with my 2T Stihl for the foreseeable future

  • Can’t checkout (already OOS)? Showing out of stock even with one pass delivery ):

    • That would mean your local store is OOS. I can see plenty of stock in mine.

      • Which location you are seeing the stock?

        • Stores in South Australia, Victoria, Tas…

          • @Clear: Dang in NSW, thought with the delivery option, it’s Australia wide, so apparently not. Thanks

  • +3

    Can't checkout.

  • Too big for car blow dry?

    • +1

Wouldn't be particularly easy to move around.

Most car centric driers also have filters too(bigboi eg) leaf blowers tend not to. If that matters to you.

    • +4

I literally did it to my car yesterday. It's bulky, but doable. Also, once you press the turbo button for blowing away water, the normal settings suddenly feel inadequate. In terms of meaningful drying power, it's OK. I would say it does the job, but not spectacularly. It's great for crevices and such, but big panels aren't easy. If you 3D printed a wide and flat attachment, then maybe it would work better.

  • Says $179 now?

    • Depends on store.

  • Thanks got one

  • Just remembered this morning I forgot to pull the trigger on the $179 deal. You made my day OP

  • +1

Is it a lot more powerful than the Ozito PXC 18V Cordless Blower?

Wondering whether it is worth the upgrade? Thanks

    • +2

Yes a whole lot more. I had the 18v one this has so much more air volume

      • Cheers! Bought one.

    • +1

Yeah, in the same boat. Is it worth upgrading ? I only use it for garage cleaning and blowing the grass when I used whiper sniper to cut the edges. But i feel the 18v one is not powerful.

      • +2

Yes, this one is stronger I've tried both and definitely felt this one was stronger.

I also can compare to the 18V Ryobi and this one was better as well.

I would recommend getting one of the narrow nozzles for it, I think that will result in it being even more effective.

        • +1

Where can I get this narrow nozzle from?

          • @dealsucker: Search "ozito 36V nozzle" , it's one of the first few results.

It is a third party one by A1 tools.

I could have swore they increased the price though…

  • Glad i waited a week. Cheers, bought one.

  • I nearly got it the other day and glad I didn't :)

  • Thanks OP, copped one

  • Got it the other day for 179. Bought another and returned it on the older receipt. Thanks OP

  • cant find it anywhere near or far from me

  • +2

The old non brushless one was 29 bucks few years ago. True bargain

    • Yeah $29.98, still going strong. Though the free $250 gift card from the drone debacle was even better lol.. :)

    • Still new in the box here lol

  • I really want a drop in price for the 36V chainsaw….

  • Bit the bullet. 160 is pretty sweet.

Was mowing my front yard and the (profanity) thing ran out about 80% of the way through. Went through a 4 AND my backup 2, couple extra batts will be welcome.

  • How long would that this last on a full charge?

  • Thank you Bunnings Carrum Downs. Now I just need to wear my bullet proof vest to pick it up.

  • I got free delivery!! No idea how.

    • Over $99 in tools is free delivery.

  • My order just got cancelled…

    • Ah right! I should expect the same.

      • I'm trying to order at another store in case it's a location-based issue, though the stock checker is no longer working.

  • Ok finally ordered one. Can’t resist any longer!

  • +3

    OOS for Sydney

    • Yeap OOS

    • Need a deal label when OOS in major cities.

    • Can’t you get free delivery?

  • +2

Purchased this at the old price ($179), two things:

    A. Stock was almost non existent near me, by luck got the last one on the shelf.

    B. This became a bigger issue when one of the batteries was defective, spoke to Bunnings but they couldn't really guarantee a solution. Took it back anyway thinking I would get a full refund but someone got proactive and grabbed an 18v 4amp battery on its own and I was good to go.

  • +1

Wish they had a cheap skin only deal on this.

    • Same, would consider the blower on the cheap, but have no need for more batteries.

Could sell on FB/Scumtree I guess but sigh

      • +1

        Is this still available?

  • +1

Just picked mine up, having way too much fun with it :)

    • Which store is this @Clear

      • +1

Rural. Not NSW. Those in VIC however can pop into Brunswick

    • Where? I still see 159

      • -2

        Sorry bud, all gone.

  • In Sydney even at $179, it was already really difficult to get stock. I got the last one for my entire area across like 15 different Bunnings. Doubt there’s anything left to even try and obtain at $159.

  • Ah man, do I really need to stuff-arse around by going back, returning it, and buying it again to get $20 back in my sky rocket?????

    • You don't have to go back immediately. I'm sure you'll pass by a Bunnings at least every two weeks.

    • +2

Last night I had this same personal conflict. While $20 is $20, I decided that no, life is too short to care about and put the effort in for that amount of money. Now that I have made the decision not to, I will spend the rest of my life regretting letting that money go, though.

  • This better than the 315kmh ryobi one for drying a car?

  • Any suggestions on a Blower/Vac?

The current 36v Ozito is a bit shit. Ozito has been releasing a bunch of new Brushless models lately though so I’m hopeful.

    • It really depends on your budget,

If you want the best one that will blow you away (no pun intended), I'd recommend the Ryobi 800cfm blower that was recently released. The only blowers better that are available within Australia are probably the Ego Blowers but those are a lot more expensive + used batteries are less common than the Ryobi one.

I tried the 18V Ryobi, 18V Ozito, 36V Ozito etc…all were not great like as soon as you try to blow leaves off the grass (that are stuck), they are not that great. 800cfm Ryobi was next level in comparison.

      • I have the latest ego 880 cfm blower with digital display and speed lock but its $580 for the skin and while it moves a shit load of stuff quickly a 5ah battery that costs around $370 last about 8-10 minutes on turbo. I have this ozito model as well and it is definitely powerful enough for home use.

        • The ozito did everything well enough for me except it wasn't great at moving the stuck leaves in my experience. That's why I went with another alternative

  • Might have to buy and return with the receipt for $199 i got a couple of months ago . Try out the onepass 365 day change of mind.

    • I thought bunnings didnt have a timeframe for returns?

Just return the new one you bought using your old receipt

      • Bought another at 159 i will take back with my 199 receipt and buy ozito 2x18v 14 inch chainsaw for 199.

        • Let us know how the chainsaw performs. I'm also thinking about buying it now that this blower kit.

          • @turbopsi: They should sell a bracket that allows you to hook the chainsaw up to the front of the blower.
I don't know why you'd want to but it would still be fun.

  • Doh! Bought one the other day for $179 but it looked like it was the last one they had. On a positive note the turbo function is probably twice as powerful as my old AEG 18V blower.

    • +2

I just went to the shop which also has no stock. They used my $179 invoice to make a refund and let me pay $159 for the new purchase. I didn't even bring to blower.

  • Thanks got one at my local, great price for kit - cheers

  • Mostly oos everywhere near me since this posted except online free delivery. Still available for my area.

  • Mostly OOS - no stock for delivery either.

  • When you purchase a kit like this and say 2 years down the track there is an issue with a battery, do you have to return the whole kit for a warranty claim or just the faulty battery?

    • +1

I returned a kit battery like ^ before, they just grabbed a new battery off the shelf lol

  • Thanks OP 😊 Yay for living out in woop woop!

  • Just about to leave home for Bunnings to return and repurchase this blower I brought last week for $179.

When I checked on the link provided by OP, it seems this item is no longer available. My $20 goes away just like that as I don’t think they will give me $159 for repurchase if the item is not available. 😖

  • Just tried this out. My only other point of comparison is a ozito vac/blower that's several years old.

This thing is way better! Even on low speeds I'm surprised how well it moves things! It seems like the amount of air is less (at low speeds) but the nozzle is much better designed.

Does anyone have any opinions on the length settings? I've only tried the shortest so far

    • I feel like length shouldn't have a difference on velocity as there is already a short barrel on the fan.

Fan intake design should be changed a little - if space is tight and you are forced to have the blower in front of you, it would often just get stuck against your pants.

      • +1

I honestly cannot tell if the innuendo was intentional or accidental here. Bravo!

  • The link to the item on the BUnnings site is up again. No pick up stock availlable near me but I did put in an order for delivery that was accepted. Not sure if it will come though.

    • Taken down again

      • Hmm, working for me still, don't think its in my cache.

        • Got a call from Bunnings cancelling the order. It was apparently a promotional offer and no further stock will come.

  • -2

I bought at $179 over a month ago. Today I tried to get the $20 refund but they refused to do that, stating that they can only do it if it's a day or two, not a month. Spoke to 2 staff but got the same answer.

  • Ok got this deal today from a store like 300 kays from me. Went instore and asked where the stock was. Worker replied oh the $199 blower deal? Its over in the promo area. So I go there and low and behold it's there for $199. Cue the disappointment. Get to the checkout waiting on a ozbargain miracle and it scans for $159. Happy days :)
