OZBVANTA
VANTA INTRODUCTORY OFFER

Finally, they've arrived!

With the huge rise in interest for compact mATX gaming chassis and the hugely popular Dan A3 case, we've been hunting for something unique to offer for almost the last full year. Introducing, the all black VANTA series cases and matching coolers! Along with our custom made premium 850w Platinum PCIe5.1 / ATX3.1 fully modular power supplies. Why 850W only? Well it turns out minimum order quantities when you go right to one of the biggest factories on the planet is a reasonably large number, so with 850w we cover almost all the bases. Why Platinum? Well, it wasn't our intention but when your target spec for the factory is basically the highest quality components they have to use.. a Platinum rated unit is what you end up with. We're still flushing out all the product listing but if you're keen to see the specs you can find them here

These cases are extremely versatile, very high airflow mesh steel paneling, fully modular, invertible and fit a ton of high end large components in an compact 26L design, or just 29L with the included extension chamber that adds 240mm AIO support or space for extra SSD / hard-drive mounting. The modular toolless panels simply pull away and click security black in to place. You can even invert your entire build simply by pulling the bottom panel off and swapping it with the top panel! Again we're still flushing out the listings, but the all mesh version can be seen here and the tempered glass side panel edition here

While it's a very messy time in the market right now. Pricing and stock availability all over the place. Tons of competing Black Friday deals appearing and disappearing… but what we do no is RAM and SSD pricing is through the roof with no relief in sight, and GPUs are reportedly not far behind. We're already seeing shortages on the supply side. Stock is limited on this deal as a result, it's very likely any re-stock we need to do once this batch sells out will be at a higher cost. Get in while it's hot!

As usual, yes there are cheaper deals going around for RTX5080 prebuilts. Having a quick look it seems the closest comparable / most popular is a TF deal for $2788. It comes with a 9800X3D (2.8% faster @ 1440p on a 14 game average according to TPU ) and our system is still $311 more but as a trade-off we offer;

  • Asus Prime series GPU (vs Palit Unspecified) ~ $100 retail price difference (cheapest staticice)
  • MSI B650M Gaming Plus WiFi (vs Gigabyte B650M Gaming Plus WiFi) ~ $30 retail difference w/ far superior VRM
  • 850w PCIe5.1 ATX3.1 140mm Fan / All Japanese Caps Platinum PSU (vs Unspecified 850w Gold) ~ $70-90 retail difference
  • 7400MB/s 1TB Lexar NVMe SSD vs (1TB Unspecified Biwin?) - Hard to compare as no specific model and out of stock most places, maybe ~ $35?
  • More premium smaller form factor chassis! Closer to the Dan A3 for size / quality (& arguably more versatile!) ~ $36-40 difference
  • 3 Year System Warranty (vs 12 Months) ~ or +$249 to match.

As we mentioned last time, hardly a 🍎to 🍎 comparison and easy to argue their deal on a pure dollars in frames out basis is more bang for buck. Our deal again (I feel like a broken record at this point) is a strong alternative (~ $450 cheaper than PC Part Picker / DIY pricing) for those who value the more premium specs.

We do have a ton of other CPU / MB / GPU / Cooler / SSD options and other cases for those who want something a little different. Including the usual suspects that are always requested (Dan A3, the Antec Flux, 9800X3D, 240m AIO etc). Check 'em all out on the website. Just hit the 'more options..' button below each component category on the product page.

Thanks. First time seeing a brand new system for free.

    • Quick on the draw 😝 Title character limit caught us out. Fixed!

  • -7

evatech actually forgetting to put the price because they know it'll be uncompetitive regardless

    • +8

Do you have an alarm set up for whenever a prebuilt deal is posted? your employers must love you.

  • +1

Is the RAM CL30 or CL36? Description says one, part list says other.

    • Apologies, part number mix up on our end. CL36 for these PNY kits at the moment. We had CL30 in an old draft of the OZB post saved yesterday, discovered the discrepancy this morning and updated the listing, just missed the description dot point!

      • No worries, is it possible to let us know who the ODM for the PSU is, or a retail PSU that uses the same internals so I can read up on it?

        • The PM's are being closed lipped on this one but I know for a fact we were waiting for a production run of be Quiet series units to be done for our batch to get produced. From a bit of googling, my best guess is a three letter acronym starting with H…

As far as I'm aware it's been up spec'd from it's base platform, not just a rebrand of an off the shelf offering so there's no real direct comparable… but if you look for reviews of the latest be Quiet 850 platinum models you might not be far off the mark at least in terms of the PSU OEM. All the components they use are made elsewhere. It's basically an assembly and testing line.

          • +4

@evatech: I'll have to vocalise my reservations of a offering a custom manufactured PSU with no Cybenetics ratings or verified testing results to look at to see how it handles things like OCP, OPP protections and how all the triggering points are configured…

I know you guys stand for quality but something like this with no real data is a massive red flag for me, and I'd be choosing an established PSU with data behind it saying its up for the task.

            • +3

@melonfresh: That's fair! Several other PSU options listed as to choose from also if that puts your mind at ease.

Our team that worked with the factory to get these built, tested and finally mass produced and shipped are absolute geeks with this stuff and I'm sure went to the enth-degree to cover all the bases. Reliability was the ultimate goal from the very beginning. I doubt we would have ended up with platinum certified units if they were cost cutting 😅 That said, totally understand how a big name brand with large third party reviews will put your mind at ease.

It does have a full suite of regulatory and safety verifications, CCC, CB, TUV, cTUVus, CE, RoHS… so I'm sure there's a lot of testing data on these things out there. I'll see what I can dig up and if there's some sort of way to publish it somewhere.

It's not our first foray into working directly with this particular factory for PSUs. Here's a listing from one of our last batches linked here with a couple of thousand units out there in PCs right now all around Australia sold between 2019 and early 2023. I'd be a bit more reserved if this was the first time around, but it's the 3rd or 4th at this point and they've been home runs in terms of reliability / quality each time.

            • +1

@melonfresh: I want to consider this deal, but am i understanding right that evatech just had the PSU and case made from OEM? So no reviews available outside of their sales for either?

              • +3

@lucyr: Yes, no reviews for the custom PSU or custom case.

        • +1

The psu casing appears a lot like this https://www.samagears.com/xp/ ?

          • +1

@thelute: Sure does, probably same OEM!

  • +2

Trying to beat the Steam Machine to release? 😂

    • +5

Not quiet in the same performance league as a RTX5080… fewer CU's than a 9060XT and only 8GB of VRAM?

Very interested to see what they sell for here in AU when released, or if we even get stock at launch!

      • +1

Heard its around rx7600 performance so entry level 2 generations ago. CPU is about 7500f performance aswell (for half the TDP as the 7500f)

        • Yep. But that's still console-competitive (which is what they are aiming for).

…and we'll probably see at least a few games doing console-style optimization for the Gabecube, since it'll be a common/predictable/popular hardware config to target. That's what happened for SteamDeck.

…and it's 2025, not 2005, any game not terribly optimized looks/runs pretty great, even on budget hardware. I know we're the fanatics that care about getting 240FPS instead of 120, and 4k instead of 1440p, and slightly-better-reflections with RT on, but even we have to admit these differences are best described as "subtle".

  • +1

Ooof luckily I bought the last deal with the specs and Dan a3! Market looking tough now. However not that keen on a 5080, 5070 ti to me hits the sweet spot.

    • Price perf ratio, definitely! Although if you have the money, game a ton and love cranking up the settings to max in newer games… the extra $ for the RTX5080 might just be worth the ROI over the long haul.

  • OP, dm you earlier. Any deals for single or dual 5090?

    • +1

      Oh sorry, missed that one!

Unfortunately there's a massive 5090 shortage at the moment. Not expecting to see 'deal' worthy inventory any time soon =[ Price is creeping up every week. Some models are up $500-1000 over their previous lows earlier in the year.

      • at the moment

  • -1

Is the Asus GeForce RTX 5080 16G Prime better then ASRock Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend Dark 16GB and can it ran Gta 6?

    • +3

No one can say what will run GTA 6 until GTA 6 comes out on PC 😅

As for 9070 XT vs 5080 it all depends on a ton of different considerations from feature set, to drivers, resolution, if you're running raster or RT, what kind of upscaling you use, the game in question…

On average the RTX 5080 wins, but by how much, that's highly variable depending the circumstances. Can be a lot, can be a little and in very rare circumstances, can be not at all.

  • Absolute banger! Thank you for posting this, glad I waited and didn't buy the older deal 5070ti w/Dan A3 upgrade - would have been roughly the same amount for a lesser GPU!

    • Looking for some insight into this one @Rickety as I too was looking at the older 5070ti build, but need something for a work project quite soon, so if I need / can, why would I push the budget to get this build? (Genuinely interested and want someone to help push me over the line!)
      Thanks

      • You can save $410 and "downgrade" to the 5070ti on this deal if you want to save coin - that ends up cheaper for mAtx builds than the previous deals in a similar form factor.

I went with this one as the smaller mAtx was a priority for me, and building out previous deals with similar parts was putting me up close to 3k anyway, so this build that natively supports an mAtx with a 5080 was great!

  • Am i blind? I cant see an add to cart button?

    • Should be on the bottom right hand corner of the page if you're on the product page.

If you don't see it, shoot us a screenshot of what you're seeing and we'll investigate!

      support@evatech.com.au

      • I am indeed blind, was covered perfectly by my taskbar, all good!

  • +1

What a beautiful machine. If I were to build myself to ensure each component is premium this is probably the exact list I’d go with.

Anyone who nabs one of these is very lucky 👌

    • ❤️

The photos don't really do them justice!

  • Hi op, just wondering how do I select the dan a3 case upgrade option? Maybe I'm blind too!

    • Sorry, looks like they were enabled originally then disabled at some point… It's definitely not a stock issue, we have plenty. Just had them added back! Should be available now if you refresh the page.

  • Naive question - is the motherboard upgrade to B850M worth it for the PCIe5?
I'm unlikely to upgrade components - more for existing performance.
Just want my games to pew pew with no regrets

    • If you're not upgrading down the line, the performance difference as spec'ed in this deal is negligible… That said, the B650EM (Asus) board option offers PCIe5 for a pretty modest upgrade cost without needing to jump all the way to B850 models.

  • So if we ordered today , when the building start and shipping ?

    • +1

It's a first in first out queue, handful of builds done Thursday-Friday last week, the rest continue Monday.

We're advising a 7-10 business day order to dispatch lead time at this stage but we'll do our best to keep it to a minimum.

  • +3

I really want to buy from you guys again cause my last purchase was very seamless and pleasant. This BF deal I feel isn't as competitive.

The rx 9070xt is now essentially equal or better than than rtx 5070ti in raster and quite a bit cheaper as well but you guys dont offer AMD cards at all.
I've been playing around with all your past Oz bargain builds for a 9800x3d and rtx 5080 combo with 2 2tb ssd and upgraded case and cooler etc but you guys seem to be about $400 more expensive than Nebulas offering.
Hopefully you guys will have more builds soon. I want to go with you guys even if it's slightly more expensive, but at $400 gap its hard to swallow…

    • +4

I'm guessing our base costs on things like RAM and SSDs right now might account for some of that difference if they are still working with older inventory at the moment. From what I can see we're the only one of the usual suspects to post a new deal this month 😅 I suspect once they have to restock and get around to posting new deals that gap will shrink quiet a bit.

I also suspect we sink a bit more labour / time into things like support & QA testing than most of the competitors, which all adds to our unit costs. On top of the overall more premium components we tend to use overall. For this offering with the Asus Prime series GPUs the retail difference alone on that one component over the Palit or PNY equivalent found in much of the competing offerings is a substantial portion of the price gap, then we add the platinum power supply, faster ssd, more premium chassis…

On the AMD GPU side of things, sadly as much as we wish it wasn't true, we get a ton of negative feedback from customers every time we trial them.

We totally get why there's a ton of love for them amoung the enthusiast crowd based on their raster benchmarks, but at least from our data, customer support tickets and rma rates are roughly 3x that of the nvidia models on a per unit sold basis. It's still low single digit percentages, but when you deal with the number of units we pump out, that adds up quickly =[ and the last thing we want is unsatisfied, frustrated customers.

Coil whine is one of the biggest complaints, across all models and brands and trying to claim manufacturer warranty in those cases are a nightmare as it's true all units suffer from it to a degree, and what's deemed 'acceptable' by the manufacturer and the end user are often vastly different things and unhappy customers are the last thing we ever want.

Perhaps we can find a way to offer them as we have in the past with big fat disclaimers alongside alerting the more casual buyer of the potential pitfalls and still allowing those who know what they're in for to make the trade off but that's a tricky proposition to get right.

I’m with Evatech on this one. I ordered a new PC for my school last week and went with a 9700XT (with the “brand may vary” disclaimer). I was hit with random freezes, lost student work, and ended up spending my entire weekend trying to diagnose the issue. The fact it would even freeze in the BIOS pointed pretty clearly to a hardware fault — and it turned out to be the video card.

For the replacement build I’m switching to an NVIDIA card. Yes, it’s more expensive, but if I could go back, I’d pay the difference in a heartbeat. The extra cost would have more than covered the many hours I lost dealing with the faulty unit (not to mention a student in tears and some very unhappy parents). No amount of savings is worth that.

  • Hi EvaTech, will your store be offering any entry - moderate level gaming PC’s ($1400 - $1700) throughout this Black Friday sale period?

    • As far as I'm aware, it's not on the cards right now…

These things have a tendency of coming together at the last minute so it's not impossible. Although with RAM and SSD pricing like it is right now… $1400-1700 doesn't stretch all that far 🥲

      • That’s a shame. Thanks for the timely response, will have to look elsewhere then.

  • Hi EvaTech,
Do you offer this build with a 5070Ti? If yes, what's the model and final price?
    Thanks!

Update: Just found out through your website, it's $410 less for the 5070Ti model.

    • Yep, just hit the more options button below any component and you'll get several alternatives. Please be aware the 5070 Ti stock for this offer is still on the way, so the build won't commence until it arrives. Current ETA is 28/11. The other alternative models are in stock ready to go.

  • Would it fit my GALAX GeForce RTX 4080 SG 1-Click OC 16GB?

    • TLDR = Yes if you opt for SFX PSU option or swap to a case other than the VANTA V01 models.

      Long Answer

To get the RTX 5080 SG 1 Click OC in the VANTA cases you'll need to select the SFX power supply. The ATX power supplies with their modular cable ports make the GPU length clearance about ~ 303mm just enough to squeeze in the Asus Prime 5080's while allowing for the removal of the optional top expansion chamber.

If you don't mind keeping the expansion chamber installed, you can remove the top fan mounting bracket and lift the power supply so as that it's internal 90 degree connected power cable protrudes of the of the base chassis, then attach the extension chamber and top panel again to give you a bit more clearance and lift the modular cabling up and out of the way a bit more, but it's still a very tight fit and requires a bit of a tight bend of the PSU cables right where they connect to the PSU.

The MSI B650M Gaming Plus WiFi will be the best motherboard for this too as the PCIe lane the GPU is installed in is positioned lower than the lane on the B650EM Asus TUF board!

As for all the other cases that are options listed, should fit comfortably without any special requirements.

      • I have the 4080, not the 5080*

I was thinking about purchasing without the GPU and with a case that fits all. Would the antec flux se case be better?

        • +1

Sorry, that was just a typo, we did mean the 4080! You definitely won't have any problems fitting it in the Antec Flux SE.

  • Took the plunge on this one, finally upgrading from a i7-6700k/gtx1070 circa 2016.

After lots of rec's on Whirpool for OZB Ive been lurking for components on here for a while (too long) but have ended going pre-built for the first time.

Just wanted join and say thanks - its been really nice reading eveyone's honest questions, answers and opinions on these threads, vendors and users alike. Great little community here.

Super excited to see this build from EVA, plan on spending most of my summer with some kind of raytracing induced retina burn lol

    Thanks guys

    • ❤️

  • Can anyone in the know tell me if the components outside of GPU and CPU are solid?

    Are there any red flags?

    @Eva Tech

I'd welcome your unbiased comparison for the parts you're using versus the parts I'm looking at in another option, listed below. Cheers.

    AMD AM5 Anti Bend Bracket
    Jonsbo CR-1000 EVO CPU Cooler
    32GB Corsair RGB 6000MHz DDR5 RAM
    MSI B650M Gaming WiFi Motherboard
850W Gold Rated DeepCool Power Supply
    1TB Crucial P310 7100 MB/s NVMe SSD

    • Build quality on those low end Jonsbo coolers leave a bit to be desired but they get the job done…

We haven't ever sold or built a system with a DeepCool PSU so we'll refrain from comment.

Not sure what the CAS latency is on the RAM but at the end of the day if the same as what we're offering, it'll perform the same.

The non PLUS version of the MSI B650M Gaming WiFi motherboard is a much more cut down cost variant with a few less features and a much lower spec VRM. Not sure what CPU you're pairing it with bit if it's anything on the higher end we'd strongly recommend a better board.

The 'anti-bend' bracket or 'contact frame' is probably unnecessary. We've never recorded a measurable difference using these or the original motherboard retention brackets. They're supposedly optimism the thermal conductivity of the cooler and evening out mounting pressure on the socket and pins below. Perhaps when paired with a top end motherboard and cooler it'll help you eek out 1-2% more if you're overclocking? With a low end motherboard like the one you listed and a very average CPU cooler like the CR-1000, it's probably a bit of a waste of money.

Crucial P310 SSDs we like. Crucial make good stuff and that's a solid SSD. Nothing bad to say about that one.

      • thanks a lot.

Can you tell me the pros/cons of going for a 'mini gaming pc' versus a regular gaming pc? Obviously it's smaller which is good, but there must be tradeoffs in other areas otherwise all gaming PCs would be more ideal small size.

        Thanks

        • It's really based around the motherboards. mATX is really a sweet spot in terms of price and what it has to offer. ATX is overkill for most people and a lot of the added connectivity options don't get utilized.

ITX on the other hand is too small, giving up connectivity that might actually be useful and squeezing everything very tightly together which causes headaches with physical compatibility, sometimes subpar cooling and you pay a premium for this niche, smaller sales volume, and sometimes harder to manufacture form factor of motherboards.

Cases larger than they need to be make life easier in terms of the build itself, but if you're not the one doing the build that's not really a concern and they just take up more space at the end of the day. If you're being generous maybe you can say ATX mid towers leave more options open for future upgradability but realistically, it's often not to a major degree over a good well laid out mATX chassis with sufficient GPU and CPU cooler clearance.

Some people think larger cases help with cooling, that's not really the case. Airflow is the key factor for cooling and a compact mATX case with a ton of ventilation and airflow will easily outperform a giant sealed glass fish tank three times its size.

          • @evatech: Thanks heaps for that.

I'm sorry but I'm a noob, I've got more questions. I'm gonna buy one of these bad boys today though :D

I'm looking at your options for motherboard, RAM, Coolers - I don't have a strong understanding of if i should just use your base components, or go a bit higher end. Can you give brief overview of the options/differences?

Also I have a 2TB WD-Black sn850x already, should i use this has the primary or backup?

Lastly, is the Platinum power supply better than the gold supply, despite the price difference?

            thanks

            • @Cannavarro: No problem!

The base components are very well rounded, solid options. You really don't need to upgrade anything you have a specific goal you're aiming for that they don't serve.

As for the SSD, you could go either way. We'd prefer you use the drive we provide as your primary just to keep things a bit less complicated in a unlikely event you run into warranty issues down the line and need support.

Yes, Platinum rated PSUs are better in terms of efficiently (AC-DC conversion) and to do it they often use more premium components. Our platinum rate units are built to very top of the line components throughout so despite the lower price, they would be better products in our opinion. They're only cheaper because they are much more heavily discounted the other options.

  • @evatech - Hi, just new here and interested in this deal but I've somewhat switched up a few things. How's it look? Can I completely remove the Lexar SSD as I plan to use a WDBlack 2TB SN8100.

The goal is more for general use, mid to high-end gaming occasionally while leaving room to upgrade in the future. (Games at the moment is more BG3 and D4.)

Also, this might be my first time buying this way as I used to assemble a long time ago. What happens to all the boxes, manuals, extras that come with the components? Do I get them too? Thanks.

    • Manuals are mostly digital these days and accessible from the manufactures websites. As primary system integrators (builds) much of our inventory is supplied what's called 'bulk' or 'si' packaging to minimize logistics costs and cut down on waste from the oversized unnecessary retail packaging. So long story short, no we do not generally provide component packaging.

We do provide a quick start guide and are more than happy to provide download links to any product manuals you might need but's probably something you can find with a 30 second google in most cases. If we do receive product manuals with certain products we do onforward them to customers but I believe that's rare in most cases.

As for the SSD question, sorry but we need at least on storage device installed in every system for it to pass through our QA rigorous testing phase. You can definitely install your own WD SSD as a second drive, or if you're setting up your own OS as a primary drive if you prefer after receipt.

As for the options you've selected there, we'd recommend against the Antec Flux + SFX power supply combo. The SFX power supply is listed primarily for VANTA V01 or DAN A3 case combos where you can get extra cooler / GPU length combability by opting for a smaller SFX power supply. For the Flux chassis, it has it's own PSU shroud and can fit any length full side power supply without effecting any other component.

We'd strongly recommend a ATX form factor power supply, which is any of the other options listed!

      • Well, this build's now broken since there's a bunch of components out of stock imho.

I'm starting to understand how these pre-builds work now. The Wraith customiser is so much more expensive.

        Maybe next time…

  • @evatech does this come with case fans?

    • Yes, the Vanta (default) and Antec case options come with case fans.

The Lian Li Dan A3 do not.

      • How significant is a lack of case fans for cooling? Is there room to fit case fans?

  • Hey, I was just playing with some configs, pretty keen to grab one of these, but you just bumped up the cost of vengeance RAM modules from $55 to $95, will you still honour the old price bumps, considering most options are sold out?

    • Sorry 🙁 prices are steadily climbing on the supply side and with a 'bargain' deal like there's really no room to absorb each price hike we're hit with. Prices will likely continue to rise as each batch of stock we have sells through for the foreseeable future.
