Has anyone tried their coffee? How is it?

The only negative comment I see in past deals is just the same dog with a bone going on about posting each month, but who cares if the deal is good.

    • I've tried their four main blends: Equinox, Solstice, Rift, Supernova. Fine for the price when on sale, same sort of realm as the Inglewood standard blends.

My favourite of the ones sometimes pop up on OzBargain is Brightside Coffee; I imagine they're probably due for a Black Friday deal or similar in the near future.

      • Thanks for the useful reply!

I haven't tried Brightside coffee, will look out for it. My staple coffee has been the Atypical Candid blend but I switch between that and others I find that I try.

Coincidentally, I just received an email from them to the effect of a) their Among Friends and Good Times blends are 33% off until Wednesday, and b) there is Black Friday sale coming up on the 24th. Current discount takes it down to about ~$42 per kg.

  • We've tried it, light roast was bad but the others was nice, tried a few blends… Wife's into the whole let's try X Y Z brand and different roasts and half the time it's crap, personally Also is my fave and when it's 30$ a kg without having a 60% off it's kinda hard to beat the value…

  • The last ad only expired Sun 9th Nov (6 days ago) & was 50% off, so this is really only 10% off & a breach of Aus Consumer Law -

    Price displays
Businesses must communicate clear and accurate prices prior to consumers booking, ordering or purchasing. They must not mislead consumers about their prices.
Ways that a displayed price can be misleading
Stating the sale price is marked down from an earlier price when:
the items were not sold at that price for a reasonable period right before the sale started

50% off gets posted almost every month too.

The ACCC won't even get out of bed for big problems. It wouldn't even turn over in its sleep for something like this. You are right, of course.

Bought a few of their coffees. I'm not a super fan of them. Wouldn't buy it.. most of the coffees listed on ozb aren't great .. the good coffees hardly ever go on sale

    • Which ones should I look out for?

      • Lime Blue coffee seem pretty popular here on OzB.

        • Yes, I often get Lime Blue, but I was more asking about the ones that hardly ever go on sale. I should have been more explicit, but I'm only half way through my coffee.

        • very ordinary coffee.
Airjo are good, but they're concentrating on subs, rather then discounts

  • Received my 2kg Romulus coffee beans $60 delivered, delivery was fast from Melbourne to Sydney (ordered weekend arrived Wed/Thur), Roast date was 17 Nov, enjoyed the taste (have it as cappuccino), beans was not oily. So was good experience to try it out at that price. I placed them in small glass jars in freezer to keep them fresh. Probably will last 8 weeks to consume.
