Great find. The price seems to be matching gamesmen.

    Good price

How much on steam again …? πŸ˜…

    • +16

It sucks that us folks on PC can't take advantage of the brick and mortar discounts that come with the multi-platform releases.

Despite the usual high price, I still got a sweet deal on BF6 at ~$73 on the EA store /w Indian VPN + 10% EA Play discount (Courtesy of OzB of course).

      • Yeah annoying having a different steam account for every game though.

    • -1

I got it under $55 through k4g. (steam account) and it seems to be working really well. not paying more than what's absolutely necessary to EA.

      • That's a great price. How is it doing the steam account option when buying a game on these sites? Is it just the one game on a steam account which you'd have to play on?

        • -1

Yes its a separate steam account with the game added to it's library. they send you the account with passcode, email / password and recovery email with password.

You can add mulitple steam accounts to your steam client and switch between them as needed.

For battlefield 6 there is one more step because you need to link it with a EA account as well. What I did was create new gmail / password and linked all the steam account / ea through that so it's it's own separate world.

          • +1

@kaleidoscope: Ah yeah that's about what I expected.

Good discount but I think I'd prefer the key, with the convenience of adding the game to my library.

          • +2

@kaleidoscope: That's a mistake and you got scammed. Selling and also buying a Steam account is in direct violation of the Steam subscriber agreement and it's possible for the buyer to get the account perm banned if and when Steam support notices it. Just hope you know that. That's right the account can be perm banned even if you later buy dozens or if not hundreds of other games onto the account also. You lose every thing. This is not my opinion but it says so on this particular and official Steam FAQ.

            https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/7E78-08DB-AC21-CE…

These places selling Steam accounts are dodgy and shady as any thing. You shouldn't be giving money to these crims. They know it's in violation and want a quick buck by scamming some one.

            • -1

              @hollykryten: Thanks for sharing.

The real crime we’re battling here however is charging $120-160 for a video game by a aaa studio.

          • +2

@kaleidoscope: Congrats, you just participated in a market funding all of the worst things in the world.

Not having a go at you, but all those sites are dominated by stolen credit cards and money laundering for horrible stuff.

k4g and g2a have had it proven to them that pre-purchased accounts for seperate games are just generated diversion holes to make it harder to trace the crimes.

When they get discovered the publisher/dev can cancel the keys too leaving you with nothing

      • +1

Yeah they are dodgy AF though and you have to sign in to a seperate steam account that for all you know was funded with a stolen credit card.

        • -4

Yeah they are dodgy AF though

They have money back gurantee upto 30 days for incidents like these or even longer if you purchase protection tiers. From what i can say these are hk / cn accounts where the games are at lot more affordable pricing.

Don't take my word, just do your due diligence before purchasing (buy from a reputed seller in the k4g marketplace). I have also purchased steam keys (not accounts) for other games through cdkeys / k4g and had no issues.

          • +1

@kaleidoscope: Except that buying a Steam account is in direct violation of the Steam subscriber agreement which results in the account being perm banned as soon as Steam support notices it. And i wouldn't trust a so called 30 day money back guarantee from some unknown game seller which is happy to sell Steam accounts which they know is in violation with a high risk of an account ban. All to get a quick buck by scamming some one from possibly an account used with a stolen credit card. Why do you think they don't offer any game key but a Steam account. Sorry but you got scammed. So you obviously didn't do your due diligence or else you might have known that Steam doesn't allow accounts to be purchased.

The requirements to have a PC thats powerful enough to run it well.. no physical distribution costs, no printing discs etc.. and its 109.

Meanwhile for my ps5 i can pay 69.. thats insane to me.

      • +6

and you can sell it later when you feel like you've had enough of it. PC isn't always the cheap platform.

    • +10

Don't you need the monthly subscription just to play online for consoles?

      • +4

Yep seems to be the new way for games now. Pay for the game, then pay for the privilege to play it every month. I won't be buying such games. I miss the Atari-Xbox 360 era, when you just bought a game and owned it.

        • +1

Microsoft innovated the pay for online requirement with the xbox in 2002. We're still suffering their decision everywhere except PC. Pre-PS4 was best because you could still avoid console multiplayer fees by avoiding Microsoft.

        • Plus the season pass/dlc

      • +3

It's actually pushing me back into PC gaming and away from Xbox.

Play infrequently so pointless paying a subscription to jump on for a few rounds.

      • +1

Yeah, about $6 a month for ps+ if you get it on the various deals through the year. So (profanity) all compared to saving $30-40 per game on release.

        • That's the hidden cost aint it. You just pay a bit more upfront for PC, but you can play online forever…

    • +1

This is what we get for not having physical releases

  • +4

Too late, I’m enjoying Arc Raiders so much, I even forgot that BF6 exists.

  • Good deal , ai got for 80 and I'm loving it on Xbox. Great battles !

  • +5

And $110 on PC. (profanity) them all.

  • +3

    Redsec is free….

I bought the full version on release, and now only play the free version as I prefer battle royal gaming (redsec)

    • +1

This! I'm still having too much fun on redsec to contemplate spending $ on the full game

    • +1

And you dont even need psn plus for it

  • If you buy the disc versions make sure that the 2x tokens download at the same time otherwise it won't work. Should be three things that download at the same time. Can't download the discless version and put the disc in and it'll work.

  • @Funky Monkey
Congratulations πŸ‘πŸŽ‰ on your πŸ₯‡ πŸ† first post.

      • +1

  • It's down to $59 now, also Phantom edition $99.
