    CPU is pretty crap for this price. I've bought a similar specced laptop for like $200, replaced battery for like $30.

    Bad deal.

    • -1

      Thanks for your comment, and feedback. I cannot comment of the deal that you previously got from other seller. I am sure that was a good deal as well. This is a standard CPU, comes with the model on the offer. I did mention, there are cheaper version may be available in the market. The battery itself that we fit in this laptop cost $65. Also, the bag is worth $35-$40, on the top of this we are offering the warranty, and free shipping.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/829681 (it came with 16gb ram)

        Battery was around $30 on aliexpress. A full $100 cheaper than this total.

        • -1

          I understand and agree with your comment but it's better to compare this one to other 2-in-1s.
          Most of the time convertibles are more expensive due to portability and touchscreen display.

          • +1

            @BlupointJo: The laptop in the previous deal is also touchscreen lol

            • -1

              @theguwithnoname: Yet it's not convertibles.
              It’s more expensive to build laptop with same specs with lighter structure.

              • @BlupointJo: Yep that’s fair. I wouldn’t say that singular feature is worth $100 more, especially on a system with an 8yr old cpu.

        • +1

          Hi, as you see both are different models, as well as form factor. Also based on the listing, it was offered with 8GB RAM (you might got 16GB) but I am looking at the listing, also they were not offering 1-year warranty. I completely agree that you can buy a battery for $30 from some places but it depends upon the quality as well. Also I hope you would agree that not every user can change the battery by themselves, specially in 2-in-1 laptop as the process is slightly different.

    If you think you can sell 349 in 2026 you are dreaming. And now is November good luck wanting huge profit and up with dead inventory. Every second the value drops.

    • +3

      Hi there, it's $333 using the coupon. We are not making any profit on this deal, just trying to sell the current stock. You are 100% correct, and it's really hard to make any profit these days. I wish I could share the numbers but I can tell you it is costing us almost close the sell price.

    Lmao FB Marketplace's favourite 8th gen e-waste

    • Thanks you for the feedback, but this laptop comes with this processor. We are currently working on i7 model also which might be available soon. I would say this laptop is more suitable for general purpose instead of gaming or heavy usage. I use it personally and it does the job very well.

  • what size battery does it have? (or ave running life).

    • Hi @M00Cow, Thanks for your comment. It's a 60Wh, 4 cells battery. Average running life is depends upon usage and many factors like browsing, videos etc, I would say 4-6 hours should be good for general continuous usage. Stand by time could be higher.

    FWIW, I've been using the 5300 2-in-1 since it was released in 2019. Back then, I got it from the official Dell Refurbished store for about $1100 (IIRC) to replace my Surface Pro 4 (which has its bogo pins suddenly stopped working on me; at that point, I told myself to never get a Surface ever again. Surface's QA is questionable IMO). It was great at that time and still decent now. It comes with two RAM slots too! With a PN579x pen (pressure-sensitive) to go along with, it is a great device for note-taking and idea-sketching. I'm still using it as my main driver today, mostly for productivity and light-coding. For anything heavy, I'll just use the vscode ssh extension to connect to my more powerful desktop and code away.

    Linux support is great. Firmware upgrades even work flawlessly from within Linux (via fwupd). Mine has a marginally better CPU (8356u) ; it's not like it will make much of a difference though.

    I'll just keep using mine until it breaks.

    I'm not suggesting anyone to buy it but I thought it's good to share my experience using the 5300 2-in-1 so take it what you will.

      Thanks for sharing. How's the battery?

      • +1

        Hi @the1doood, Usually with a new battery 4-6 hours could be achieved, but depends upon several factors like usage load, apps etc. However stand-by time can be higher. I will let @Dirichlet to share their personal experience with the battery of this laptop.

        @the1doood

        I obviously can't speak for the battery in the units being sold in this post.

        However, my experience has been decent. After many years of use, I'm still getting about 6 hours out of a 80% charge. I don't normally charge beyond 80%; that may be why my battery is still great. The BIOS has this useful option where you can set the maximum charge level at which the charging will automatically stop.

        The 6 hours is mostly a mix of web-browsing (firefox on Ubuntu), using xournalpp for note-taking and sketching, spotify, coding and reading academic papers. Charging to 100% will of course give you more.

        If I remember correctly, media consumption like video takes about 9 Watts with hardware decoding (HEVC, H264), at least basing off the reports from running upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0.

        I don't have media playback right now but here is an example output:

        $ upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0 native-path: BAT0 vendor: BYD model: DELL N2K6243 serial: 1154 power supply: yes updated: Mon 17 Nov 2025 17:51:14 (23 seconds ago) has history: yes has statistics: yes battery present: yes rechargeable: yes state: pending-charge warning-level: none energy: 47.8952 Wh energy-empty: 0 Wh energy-full: 60.002 Wh energy-full-design: 60.002 Wh energy-rate: 0.0076 W voltage: 8.175 V charge-cycles: N/A percentage: 79% temperature: 24.4 degrees C capacity: 100% technology: lithium-polymer icon-name: 'battery-full-charging-symbolic'

        I'm not sure about the Windows side of things. I've gotten rid of Windows.

        I'm also not sure if the particular unit being sold here has Thunderbolt 3. I remember it was an option. Mine has it.

        The laptop could also be charged using USB-PD (65W). If you have a ThunderBolt 3 dock (from Ugreen or whatever), you could charge it with USB-PD while simultaneously feeding multiple displays. Make sure the unit sold in this post has Thunderbolt 3 and PD if these are the things you're looking for.

        If you can find the 5310 2-in-1 or the 5320 2-in-1 at a good price, go for those. But, I'm don't think those can be had for sub-$400 right now.

    • +1

      Thanks for sharing your feedback, I do use it with Ubuntu and it works really well. One thing particularly like about this model, that it works great in both laptop and tablet mode.
