Apple iPhone 17 Pro 256GB $1899, 512GB $2299, 1TB $2699 Delivered (New Customer Must Add Plan from $30/28-Day) @ amaysim

170

Saw this deal for the still relatively new 17 Pro.

Spewing as I recently got one from OW after price beating with Emporium Electronics, and then again with JB as OW had them on back order for the effectively the same price.

All colours and storage sizes available as of time of post.

Someone please attempt to price beat this at OW for the 5% off and report back!

EDIT: As people have pointed out, it requires at least one month of an amaysim plan which is a minimum of $30. May affect ability to price beat but still worth a shot.

OW aren't going to PM a phone that requires a plan.

    • Thanks for pointing this out, I have edited the post to reflect this.

For those keen, I think it may still be worth a shot to argue.

Amaysim really stepping it up with their lesser complex "set price, buy 1 month plan, quit and you can have the phone" replacing JB

    • Many of us are already with Amaysim anyway from old good plan deals

The prices of these storage upgrades are just a complete joke. $400 for an extra 256GB?! you can buy a 4TB ssd for that price. Man Apple really knows how to maximise shareholder value.

If I were Apple, I would put a premium on storage too, to push everyone on storage cloud subscription. It’s an excellent business move. It’s diabolical 100% but so amazing from a business perspective.

    Man Apple really knows how

    🍎 He does…

just buy a 15 or 16 for half the price and get 95% of the same phone

    • +2

But 17 is a bigger number

    • Titanium has poor thermal conductivity, I wouldn't touch a 15 or 16.

        Huh?

I have a 15 PM and the titanium is fine. No lags, very snappy, and rarely gets hot.

While the 17 stepped up the features on the base model, do you really think a base 15 or 16 is comparable to a 17 Pro? Even a 13 Pro or 14 Pro would be better than a 15 or 16..

      • +2

Sorry I meant 15 pro or 16 pro

        • +1

All good man, have a good night

      • I went from the 15 PM to the 17 PM.

100% feels less premium which I miss, but the battery is better than the 15 PM battery out the box and it is super fast and doesn't get as hot as the sun as the 15PM. This size is also a happy medium between the 6.1 inch <15 P (too small) sizes and the 6.5 inch <15 PM (too big).

Overall, I probably could have gotten by with a battery replacement of the old 15 PM but (profanity) it.

  • Where can I buy 16 pro 256 oos everywhere

The Emporium Electronics - OW Price Beat deal was for 17 Pro Max, this deal is for an 17 Pro.

Even if you price beat an 17 Pro from EE to OW it would bring it down to $1895 for an 256GB.

    This deal would be $1899 (Phone) + $30 (Mobile Plan) = $1929.

So EE to OW price beat is a better deal.

    • Sorry you are mistaken re EE. I was able to get the 256 pro in Cosmic Orange as a price beat.

I think attempting this though may be more reliable as the EE stock runs out.

Cheaper to buy apple gift cards from woolies (gives 10% back as woolies points).

  • How does Apple & iPhone convince people to pay a big premium for their products…relative to Android-Microsoft?

Apple salesman told me 'Apple value privacy'…inferring that they don't sell users' data…exploiting the fear of Google & Microsoft ads revenue?

'Apple ecosystem': isn't this a slight-furphy? Google products generally do work with Microsoft products: hardware & software issues/problem do come up…need to do homework on compatibility?
I've a Dell-device for which a dell-software is no longer support (diagnosed with Windows-Reliability-Monitor) & hence caused crashes with Windows10: once removed device is stable.

Apple products are flagship: true…but is it a must to do basic tasks? Maybe there's a mindset of Apple-users?

  • $400 fcing $$$ for an extra 256gb storage.. Apple hard milking consumers as much as they could.

Still rocking my iPhone 13 mini. After learning about enshittification, realise all these upgrades are unnecessary for me. My mini still does everything I need a phone for. Less distraction in life.

  • Anyone tried price matching this at apple?
