Oakley show them as OOS on their site but had an rrp of $207.

    Does this web have ABN?

    • +2

ABN? They are legit and have been around forever..

    • +1

Any .com.au website needs an ABN to be registered

  • +8

    Gee they are pretty ugly

    • Sunnies are personal LOL!

    • +1

      Batman doesnt wear sunglasses

      • +4

        Bruce does though

  • I don't tgink they are worth for $400.
But are these good for driving in the bright sun and high beams at night?

    • You wear sunglasses at night?

      • Only when driving due to the bright lights

        • +12

          Don't, before you kill someone.

Maybe an appointment at the optometrist is more appropriate.

@SetTheFaqUp: Yeah, they said my vision is perfect but feel like i keep getting blinded by incoming traffic so have almost gotten into accidents a few times.
I brought one specifically for night which is a lot better now and the lights don't effect me as much

            • @michael9865: Spider-Man?

            • +3

@michael9865: Go get re-checked bro, sounds like you could have astigmatism, or cataracts and dont go to those rubbish OPSM or the likes, useless. Go to a proper eye specialist

              • +6

@BatmanAU: I find a lot of the cars don't have auto levelling. Recent found the headlight levelling in the Atto is well hidden in the menu (unlikely a rotating knob in the old cars), as well the non road compliant jacked up SUVs without headlight adjusted.

Regulators are asleep behind the wheels.

I have similar problem, but it is car (opposite lane) dependent. Not to the point of unable to see, but definitely VERY bright and borderlining unsafe.

            • +1

@michael9865: Yeah there's a lot of people with million watt leds they bought on ebay cooking everyones eyes, then also poorly adjusted headlights. Most people experience this these days. 1 in 4 people report having stopped due to intense headlight glare.

              • @illogicalerror: Exactly, it's not every incoming car, it just when the LED lights are bright and at the right angle and then there's car who just keep their high beam on

                • +1

@michael9865: That doesn't mean you should be wearing sunnies when driving at night.

I've got the same issue, esp when I'm tired.

Optometrist said I needed to drink more water and get better sleep.

I asked if there were any lenses that could help with night driving - there's some Zeiss $350 lenses designed for night driving.

I decided to drink more water and try to get more sleep.

She's deceiving me, cuts my security

    • +3

I mean, it's one par of sunglasses, Michael. What could it cost? $99?

  • Only for slim faces according to the reviews…. Not for me.

  • +2

    Matrix oakley?

    • +2

Was totally the first thought I had (I’ve always liked that design)

  • -3

Bought a pair so I can sell them on facebook marketplace for $200.

  • -2

Apparently, the orders can't be cancelled! Beware! Think twice! :)

    • It's just another day for you and me in paaaaradise

  • +2

    Luxottica scam

    • Came here to say this, F luxottica

  • Am I the only one that thinks they look a bit…. shit?
If you look up images of what they actually look like on people, they look dumb as hell.
    Youtube review of them.
This whole angular styling looks so odd looking (to me..).

    • +2

My first thought was it makes you look like a date rapist circa 1995

    • +1

They do look a bit like something Elon Musk would wear.

      • +1

And I thought my comment was harsh!

    • I actually think they look better in the video than they do in the photos. Feel like the squared off edges disappear a bit while worn. Same on another video.

Think they look worse in the product photos where the angles really are highlighted.

  • Look like a pedo for $99

  • +2

They look like sunglasses for people who work in IT, although transition lenses would really do the trick

  • +3

good stuff champion - grass roots ozbargaining…personally i do not need a new pair of sunnies but so much better than regurgitated movie streaming posts and cashback offers for temu and aliexpress

  • They’re cheap, because the design is niche (looks atrocious)

  • +1

    Bought, thanks OP.

  • +1

if only they were maui jims

  • New model look better @ $306
    https://www.oakley.com/en-au/product/W0OO4142

    But $99 not bad

  • Just in time for Daniel's law

  • +1

I'm just wondering did they change the price today to $98 ?
Is shipping now an added cost ?
I'm not sure. I bought them at $99 and got free shipping.
    🤔

    • 1$ price-drop!!!!!

    • I believe you are right Moddy. It was originally free shipping over $99 and sneaky Golf box took it down by a $1

  • +2

Thanks OP. Got one for a gift.

Golf Box is a legit store and site. RRP may seem steep but Oakley is typically expensive. The frame is titanium which is lightweight on the face and lenses are prizm/ polarized adding to the expense. Definitely would never pay full price but at this price? It’s a steal (despite the unique design).

    Arrived today,
Very light, great lenses, definitely way to small though :)
