This popular deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/886928) is back. I think large/medium also comes with the lid (based on the description of "lid handwash only")
Edit: Based on people's experience, including my own, there's no lid.

Aren't these the Coles Kitchenware Flybuys offer varieties that you collect points and redeem for from time to time… maybe left over stock sold off to Myer.

I haven't seen this promotion at Coles since last year, but yes - they would be the same thing

    • +7

Looks like it!! Currently also popping up in op shops all around the country…

  • +9

These are not for cooking. Mine cracked

    • +2

Same here. Ive got a small and large one, small one cracked after 4 uses. Large one only used twice so have zero confidence

    • +6

That's a shame! Especially, since they're also not very good for dropping onto people's heads like amvils.

    • Over the decades, raw material skimping has made products worse.

  • +10

Last time I looked at these in the Myer the glazing was a bit meh. Some had uneven spots and others had hairline cracks. QC needed some work…

Got to the point of entering my CC details to checkout and thought I should get OzBargain comments first.

    From the last deal:

I had one of these, but the stoneware cracked in the oven. So, I wouldn't recommend using it as cookware but rather as serving ware.

    -

Stoneware of both the small and large have cracked since the Coles promo, didn't last very long

    Pass.

        Marraige marriage

His marriage is a mirage. He knew what he was saying.

        • His marriage is AI. He knew what he was saying

Can still use it to eat deluxe ozb instant noodles. I haven't found a way to eat them without getting the soup on my clothes. Going big can be a solution.

  • Thanks op, got a large one for $15

These arrived broken on delivery from Myer last time. They tried to send a replacement but that one too was smashed by the time it arrived. Ended up getting it refunded.

    • I had a similar issue, but went in-store to replace them, which resulted in not-smashed dishes!

  • My wife makes lasagna in the large one from the Coles deal and it has been fine for us.
For the price it is worth a try.

  • I find them quite good for serving hot items. No issues with delivery last time this was a deal.

  • Thanks OP

  • any positive experiences?

how's medium vs large size bakers?

    • It only shows the large dimensions: 38.7cm (D) x 23.8cm (W) x 7.8cm (H)

    • I have both from the Flybuy deals. The large one did not come with a lid (for FlyBuy) but looks like it does here. To be honest the lids are useless as you cannot put in the oven and you don't want to use with food as it is bamboo so I'm hesitant to stain it with food materials.
I like using both the large and medium units anyway. I use the larger one for my roasts as I can just squeeze in a tray in it and I use the smaller one for general oven baking.
      No cracking etc so far.
I'd say get the larger one if you were only going to get one.

They're cheap random stoneware, with all the positives and negatives that come with that.

Ignore the KitchenAid branding, I'm sure these are made under license by a random manufacturer. However, they're equally as good as any cheap, no-name stoneware from K-Mart, Big W or Harris Scarfe.

Personally, I've had generally good luck with cheap stoneware, and these are no exception. The glazing is always a bit thin and uneven, but they do the job.

  • I've got the pie dish and have made many Quiche's in them and they're brilliant, not a mark on them even though I cut the quiche with a knife.

  • +2

People buy KitchenAid is because of the brand name and that they sell ridiculously overpriced mixers. Honestly only their mixers are good, generally their kitchenware are crap and no better than the ones you get from Temu for cheap.

    • One of many examples of a company that got famous for being good at one thing, then deciding to monetise the logo on some random stuff

    • i got a KA non stick frying pan from Victorias basement and been using it for over 3 years. holding up pretty well

  • +1

It took three attempts for me to get these shipped to me intact.

The first two times, there was too much space in the box, and the jostling around resulted in the trays being smashed into pieces.

    • Same here, one of the two I ordered arrived shattered as the box was too big.

    • Same lol

  • +1

I have a couple from Coles promo and don't cook in them I use them as serving dishes. Put some hot water in them to take
the chill off and then put vegetables etc in it and put the lid on for leftovers.

    • +1

Would be nice… but they aren't arriving with a lid. Bit of a scam.

  • +1

Here at Myer now. They said it doesn't come with a lid
    Ridiculous

    • The second batch of Coles ones had no lid.

    • Yep same. They've now removed the pictures with the lids from the website!

      • Dodgy barstools

  • For anyone in Sydney still wanting these, the CBD store still has heaps of small and medium. More than 20 each, no lids.

  • Just received mine, all cracked and like a box full of shrapnel. Not worth the hassle for exchange, requesting full refund. YMMV

  • Received mine today and none of them came with lids.

    • Yeah and they've removed the photos with lids from the website (though my order confirmation line item photos show a tray with a lid on it!)

      • +1

dodgy asf.. i bought a few for Christmas present not worth the price without the lids.. i'll have to return them now.

      • Removing the evidence after the fact is outright fraud

  • +1

Same …. no lids …. called Myer, said they had received many calls about it …. wanted me to pay for return shipping …. I said it was a Myer error …. they relented, said they'd supply a return label but refunds team would assess if they agreed on return …. WTF …. on the order confirmation it shows product with lids attached …. still waiting of medium size to show up so I can return the lot.

  • These might be good to reduce microplastics in your diet but do you really get wooden lids with these?

    • +1

just asking for what was advertised. They were storage as well as cook wear.

  • Bait and Switch when the web and their order confirmation showed lids … Myer has become just as dodgy as Temu and other online rip off sites.

Tempted to complain to fair trading about their dodgy behavior

  • Received 3 of mine smashed in the box after delivery. Do not buy
