Seems a good price for a 5080, what with the impending doom of crazy ram prices and noise that nvidia cancelled the super series.

Ah yes, the panic buying meta is back
So would you say its time for everyone to crack each others heads open and feast on the goo inside?
Yes I would, Kent.
only if the said goo was marshmallow tasting goo…
Forfty percent of all people know that.
More like a "hold for the bubble pop liquidation panic sales era," but it could go either way.
I mean with CPUs, GPUs, RAMs hitting ATLs…
Are they bundling any free games with this?
Only promo from nVidia atm is a skin for Doom the Dark Ages https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/rewards/
Their last promo (Arc Raiders) ended on the 4th.
I reckon the whole cancelled super rhetoric is to help shift 50 series stock which has fallen below rrp and rotting on shelves now.
Still feels a little expensive when it's only around 20% faster than a 9070 XT but costs 70% more.
yeah but the software support for doing AI stuff is 98% Nividia and 0.2% AMD
This is ozbargain, most people here would be buying GPUs to run games
Not necessarily, they may be nerds like me who want to keep their options open
thanks OP. Think this is the cheapest a SFF 5080 has been, but still just a bit exxy…. another 50 or 100 off and I'll bite I reckon….
I ended up grabbing a 5080 Gigabyte Gaming OC for $1,700 off CEX (5 year warranty) to get that juicy 450w power limit for near 4090 overclocking
Otherwise I would have jumped on this (but I probably would have flashed the vbios to an ASUS Astral to unlock 450w vbios)
I personally would prefer 5080 Gigabyte Gaming OC.
$1500 would be the sweet spot for me to jump on this.
