Ships from Amazon UK via the Amazon Global Store. Unsure about local warranty, even though Xiaomi now sells this phone locally.
Few dollars cheaper than previous ATL (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/932156)

CamelCamelCamel.$6 down the drainage :-(
I placed order last week as well (not arrived yet), but spoke with an agent from customer service and got $10 voucher. Speaking of ATL…
Not recommended.
Better deals for the budget minded:
Better than even the disappointing and overrated Clear deals
These are not 5G models
Indeed not the 5G models. Still the direct previous gen ones with much improved internals.
But if you did want it, it's just $20 more than Clear's 13 Pro+ 5g: Smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ Plus 5G Frost Blue 8GB RAM 256GB $415.60 @ Amazon Germany
There would be alot of phones for sale for the budget minded.
True.
Wait for tmr BF’s deals start.
I thought that the way the phone system works now, that if you bring i phones not for the Australian market they get blocked on the network ?
Xiaomi sells these here so they are not blocked, you should be fine.
I love my 15T Pro from the original Mi.com sale a bit over a month ago. Got an added tablet and reduced price power bank (instead of a Bluetooth speaker)
I had massive problems trying to get it to work with Felix (which I was on with my old iPhone 12), lots of messages to Felix support and eventually find out the device is not on their approved devices list, so I ended up giving up on them and switching to Tangerine, that was a flawless transition.
The device itself has been easy to use and feels great after having iPhone for 18 years. Setup was a breeze (and I specifically set up as a new device instead of trying to transfer apps/data etc, most of my data is in Google Cloud anyway). I have actually had minimal issues or feature envy or pain points as I've been using the device.
The 2 issues I've had are very miniscule: 3DS emulation doesn't seem to work, but NDS works; and the voicemail doesn't work the same as iPhone (gotta call a Tangerine voicemail number to get a voicemail, bleugh) but I don't know if that's a Tangerine thing or a device thing.
Previously a fan of xiaomi phones (mi 9t) but now wouldn't touch them with a 10ft pole after owning 13t pro and 13 pro.
Mediatek CPU means no custom ROM to remove all the bloat and crap. Can use tools to debloat but everything xiaomi apps are so intertwined it breaks things.
On the models that aren't mediatek, custom ROM is theoretically possible if you can win the lottery and unlock the phone. Seriously the hoops you have to jump through to be eligible for the chance to apply for an unlock code is insane.
In the end I switched to a Motorola g84 (one of the few oled models that still have a 3.5mm). Took 15mins to unlock and install a new ROM. That said, stock was a pretty good experience anyway.
HyperOS 3 is pretty good from what I've heard, much better than the previous versions.
I see what you are saying but 90 to maybe 95% of people don't need to unlock the bootloader or change ROMS. I mean I did with my Mi 9T and my Mi 11 but I have used many phones since then including the S25U recently and I haven't had the urge to change ROMs.
I don't think the Global Version of these phones have a lot of bloatware like they used to. And even if they did, you can just uninstall them. And the comment below, HyperOS is pretty decent.
I like a very lean phone, preffering to add what I want rather than trying to remove what I don't. Also aiming for open source and offline apps where possible.
The 13t pro was a global version, not sure what version of hyperOS I experienced. I'm sure its fine for most people, but xiaomi (like many brands) tries to push their software service ecosystem which is a concept I personally dislike.
I agree, they sell their phones for cheap only because they can push those apps which they get paid for.
Apparently there is this third party ROm available on pixels that gives you absolute control of all your apps and come bare bone with barely anything installed on it.
Hows the Xiaomi software like? After my motorolla I've started to value good software, to the point I've only really considered buying Samsung so far but its tough finding value for money.
I have a Motorola now and miss my Xiaomi. It has dual apps from the get go. Also, with each update on the motorola, it's getting harder to toggle features such as Bluetooth, GPS, data and wifi on and off. It used to be just one press on the screen, now it's a few to turn them on and get connected
It's a good price without the warranty. I guess locally you pay 1k for this
You just have to use Amazon support rather than Xiaomi directly
It comes with 2 years warranty, via Amazon. Isn’t it better than Xiaomi 1 year local warranty?
Already got only for the 512gb left
OOS
Ordered this at the +$6 price. Talk about ozbargain remorse.
