Thanks for posting the myer deal, I found one at my local store and they knocked off $20 for ex display so $179

  • Does rice come out as good in this as a rice cooker?

    • I have the same question. Currently looking to replace my Tefal Cook4me as it keeps complaining about low water levels despite there being heaps of liquid. The Tefal has a non stick pot so cleaning is easy. The non stick coating is wearing off though.

      • I'm in a similar situation. Rice cooker is about to die and the non-stick coating is wearing off. I'm paranoid there's risk of micro plastic and toxins. Don't want to buy another rice cooker if this cooks rice just as well or even better. Can use the same cooker for many other things. Waiting for someone with experience in cooking rice in this product to comment.

FWIF I picked up an instant pot to replace my broken rice cooker and recalled pressure cooker. Prior to, I resorted to making rice in a stove top pot. After getting the instant pot (awesome simple pressure cooker!) It cooks rice well, might have done that twice, but I find it's still quickest and easiest to cook rice in a pot on the stove every other day.
