While the Singles Day sale comes to an end, straight after comes the Black Friday sale kicking off on the 20th with hopefully some more banger deals. While I'm unsure about upsized TCB/SB cashback, Team OzBargain for 10% back as AliExpress store credit should continue through to the end of the month.

AliExpress Local+

AliExpress have now made it easier to identify products located in Australia with the Local+ banner. These products ship from Australia, often from Amazon via MFC and will not incur a GST charge at checkout.

AliExpress Saver

AliExpress have a membership program (formally AliExpress VIP) for a monthly fee that gives you monthly coupons worth US$48, exclusive prices and 24/7 live chat support (useful for disputes). Often they will have this dirt cheap for first time subscribers. Available from the AliExpress app on the homepage.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

AliExpress trade in USD! Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate.

AliExpress Referrals

Mobile App Only: random (110)

Referee receives a random discount (not specified), referrer receives a $8 off $32 Minimum Spend Coupon which increases in value with successful referrals.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2025

  • Thanks Clear.

I bought some more stuff. One thing I notice is Aliexpress always charge GST and together with non choice items they also charge shipping so these coupons are jsut enough to cover those costs

    • +1

Yeah and their GST is charged in USD so its way more than 10%. But yeah, thanks for the coupons clear!

  • Any recommendations for a mini pc to be used for Home Assistant server? Ideally one with dual-NIC

  • Do AliExpress Saver coupons stack with these?

    • +1

      No

  • 3% less discount that 11. :(

  • I can't recommend purchasing anymore since Aliexpress started using SpeedX.

Packages seem to be mysteriously repackaged and underweight suggesting something is being stolen during transit, but the issue is only confined to SpeedX.

There is even someone on Whirlpool that suffered the same problem, and I have yet to ask whether it is the same courier but I suspect it is given the pattern of my 40+ orders this month.

Never had any issues with iMile except they took my parcel to No 1 in the opposite street but the locals here are nice and they brought my parcel over.

    • I can send them that feedback. It seems around Sydney and Melbourne they're using the cheaper couriers while other cities or more regional areas get Auspost and Aramex.

      • I can confirm my stuff is usually with Auspost, or occasionally Aramex. I’m northern sunny coast.

Also, Auspost is usually shite around Xmas due to lots of short-term contractors chucking/dumping parcels in stupid locations or wrong addresses.

        • I am in Sydney and almost always get Auspost, though somebody else from my household that orders to the same address will usually get something else

  • AliExpress tax has reached 22% now lol https://i.postimg.cc/G2vwP7qD/screenshot.jpg

    • They tax based on original price, not discounted price

      • +1

It seems inconsistent, sometimes an item 'original price' is 5X the final cost, GST is never that extreme.

  • $59 min spend coupons have been used i'm pretty sure.

  • thanks for the handy price saving tips about coins. i have been shopping on the website this whole time and coins seemed almost useless. managed to get something for free (excluding tax) after installing the app using coins

  • @Clear any new coupons (apart from the above) planned to drop tomorrow, Black Friday or following Cyber Monday?
    Big purchase lined up…

    • +1

Not that I know of. Should still be these

  • I've read somewhere there's no need to clear cart before we hit topcashback, can anyone confirm this.
