Do I need more filament 🤔

Will this work for Green Gadgets? 20% off refurb iPhones would be amazing

    • Cheaper through Temu during 40% cashback promotion by Topcashback.

      • +2

Interesting. What refurb sellers are on there, same as Australia? I’ve found Green Gadgets accurate and trustworthy, but open to options.

        • -1

Luck of the draw, I got a phone off green gadgets marked as “as new” with a small chip on the screen and a 85% battery.

They claimed they wouldn’t replace it, only refund which meant I lost the ebay sale. They did give me a partial refund though.

        • GG have been my go to aswell.

And then got a local guy who fixes batteries for cash… one tech system that I have for my family that works well.

The amount I do though, I need to learn to do it myself tbh.

        • Search in Temu : iPhone
All local stores in Australia (local warehouse):
          BecexTech
          OEM Store
          Perfect Preowned
          Mobile Federation
          S123424'shop
          My OzTech

I haven't tried any of these local stores.

    • Sometimes they participate (been a while though).

I look forward to this not working on any of the things I try..

    • +14

In typical eBay fashion, it will only work on listings that have just jacked their prices by 30%.

      • +1

Yup, the item I was after went up $5 this morning

  • +25

Im guessing Ebay has listed only two eligible items….
A refurbished DVD player and a Nokia phone cover

    • And a plethora of random useless car parts.

      • +6

Oooh. I do have a useless car. Would be good to get some parts for it.

        • +2

unfortunately only useless parts for cars, not parts for useless cars.

    • had a good chuckle. ty

  • It's been a while since I've seen Jack.

  • +1

Primed, locked and loaded for jack

  • +2

    Hopefully some good GPU deals.

    • Yeah I was literally going to buy some coles mastercards to get my 5070ti today but might have to forgo the flybuys points in favor of waiting for this in case of any discounts

  • I believe ebay will pull something big this round to gain back their market share as currently been losing to Amazon, Temu, and Shien.

    • +11

they've been losing for like 3 years. they don't care. they'll just increase seller fees and reduce seller promos.

      • +3

        Feels like 13 years

      • As much as I despise eBay and their shady practices, they’re not losing to anyone and doing just fine.

  • +1

None of the links in OP description work, or are they only usable once the sale goes live?

  • hopefully some hard drive deals.

    • +2

doesnt look like it. Amazon has good storage deals atm it seems. With every year that passes i'm giving up on ebay purchasing. They really suck to the point i'm so close to never visiting ebay again

      • i havent renewed my $10 ebay plus in 2 years now.

      • any deals on 10-12tb have you seen?

  • How do you search for eligible items? or do I have to wait on the day

    • You will see when the promo goes live.

  • Is there something wrong with me or is it difficult to work out from this post what actually is eligible? I cant read the entire link because it's truncated just at the point where they differ, the links arent active yet so clicking on them does nothing, and I am unable to work out, and while this might be easy on a PC it's a pain on the phone.

What I am trying to work out is if the auto parts are across the board or just a small crappy number

    • You will see when the promo goes live.

      • That's doesn't help me if there's a 15% off now and it expires before the promo goes live

        • +1

That’s how eBay works. They’re vague about when things end or what’s going to be included in a sale, and along with the constant reminders it cultivates a sense of urgency for you to buy now.

          • @Mintchip: yes, painful. I really don't but that much from them anymore, aside from coin cell batteries, toner, and autoparts

            • @Jackson: Hope you got some joy from this one. For my part, something I picked up at 15% off the other day did get included in the sale, but was already out of stock in the colour I wanted. So kind of glad I jumped for it

              • @Mintchip: Nah the thing I wanted lost 15% off and didnt get the 22, but then I Google searched and the seller has his own site and it's 20% off across the board and it was a tenner cheaper than eBay anyway.

There are a couple of other parts that I might need to buy that look like I will get some benefit from but they are comparatively cheap

  • Will The Nile ebay store be 22% off tomorrow?

    • After comparing three books with Koorong, it appears The Nile has already increased prices by about 34–36%. Might be better to wait for BF offers elsewhere.

      • Cheeky things aren't they!

  • Hoping it will be applicable to a boost 300 sim…

  • -2

20% off but the items in you cart don't qualify…

    • +1

It's not 20% off site wide.

    • These promos are partly funded by sellers on top of their regular selling fees, which added up is quite a lot unfortunately. Sellers can choose to opt in or not, eBay doesn’t force any seller to.

      • +1

I guess nowadays, it is Black Friday but not on the good stuff.

I check the coupon link below, and to be fair, there is a search textbox on items discounted for BF.

Why are so many people upvoting a coupon that has no real deals that would make it to the frontpage on their own?

  • It's all smoke and mirrors.

  • Refurbished Breville Toast and Melt 4 Slice Sandwich Press (LSG545) for $55.96 delivered. I call that a pretty sweet deal !!

  • +1

For those struggling to find what's included in the sale, don't click "Go to deal", rather check the OP's post and use the individual links for the product categories. The deal search for some reason only seems to work for vehicle parts and accessories… but you can find the other categories using those individual links. Hope that helps.

  • +3

Sellers already price jacked their listings, lol what a joke. Fair Trading should go after these fake discounts.

  • +1

Great deal if all you're wanting are vehicle parts and accessories. Awful deal for the other 99.9% of the population.

    • Searching for a set of car mats and ended getting from Ali for less than 1/2 the price except the long shipping for 1-2 months

    • Got one for $300 from Everyday market 28% cashback.

In any case, ebay is good for getting max TRS value.

  • Ahhh it's been a while my old friend… Jack!

  • Almost nothing in my big wishlist is applicable. Pretty garbage promo.

  • PS Portal anywhere?

22% off and still no bargains. Doesn't a deal post actually have to demonstrate at least one bargain that is obtainable?

not for everyone but buy 4 or more for $86.36 each plus 22% off ontop

Bleak Friday for ebay shoppers. Afterpay day sale was way better…

  • +1

Can anyone confirm if this code will work on a best offer?

    • +2

It should based on my previous experience.

  • Also asked this on the post regarding the 50% final value fee for sellers, but thought there would be more eyes on this post:

Does anyone know if this 20%/22% buyer discount can be used in conjunction with the 50% off final value fee promo (for sellers) that eBay is doing.

I listed a LEGO set but noticed some other sellers have 20% off which makes their listing more appealing to buyers.

Specifically I’m wondering if this clause on the Final Value promo t&cs means I can’t enable the 20% buyer discount and still get the Final Value Fee discount.

“Unless otherwise indicated in these Terms and Conditions, this Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional discounts, offers or waivers in respect of seller listings for Eligible Items.”

    From https://www.ebay.com.au/sellercentre/promo/1021366

    Discount I want to enable:
    https://pages.ebay.com.au/buyer_coupons/2025/friyay22/

Sorry if this slightly off topic, but as a seller I want to make the 20% discount available to buyers.

    • +1

Did you sign the contract for the 20/22% off promo?

      • No, I did not. Is that how it works? Sellers have to agree in advance? The t&cs made it sound like it was something I could enable by adding a link.

        • +2

The 20%/22% promotion is a contract with top selling sellers on eBay, where sellers funds a portion of the discount and eBay funds the remainder of the discount. The funding is on top of regular seller fees and at the end of the day for many sellers it eats up into your profits. I assume many OzBargainers don't realise this and neg the post because the items they want are not included. Sellers are not opting into the promos for a reason, and the reason is because eBay's fees are too high. Sellers that do opt in tend to 'jack' their prices to cover part of this fee. I've started to join these promos a few months back, and I'm still yet to determine if it leads to any higher sales.

To answer your question, no, unless you get invited by eBay to join the promotions (usually weeks in advance), you can't enable the 20% discount unfortunately.

  • Anyone get a deal? 😁
