  • Can cancel immediately?

In app it's showing 2 months for me so I'm assuming it's 2 for historical users

    • I opened on web and it shows $0 for 4 months

    • Same here

    • +2

You can, but changes back to free tier immediately too.

      • I cancelled immediately after, and it says it on until a date in January. (2 months)

    • If you cancel straight away they cancel the trial. Pretty annoying, but best to set a reminder before the trial ends.

  • I "wasn't eligible for that offer "😔.
Pretty sure that I've had multiple free trials so no surprise there.

If you have a gmail account, you an sign up with the same email multiple time by adding “+1”, “+2” and so on before @gmail.com.
Example: if your email is abc@gmail.com. You can sign up on spotify with abc+1@gmail.com and you still receive the verification email on your original email.

PS: Make sure you use different Credit/debit card than previously used on spotify.

      • What will happen to my playlists and favourited songs?

What is everyone's permanent solution for music? YouTube music, Spotify are all paid.

Buying music and downloading lossless files from Bandcamp

      • Lol ok I was asking about hack or anything free still available

        • +6

Dude, don't knock local music, it's genuinely amazing listening to something I want to hear (or something that I get recommended by a friend!) rather than falling into a slumber fest with auto play.

Plus you get offline music listening! That's great too.
If you must have streaming, look into Navidrome or Jellyfin for locally hosting your own streaming app.

          Revanced YT music

        • You'd be surprised at how cheap a lot of the music is.
The artists actually get paid higher, percent wise through Bandcamp, and you might have only shelled out $4.
Now, I get the whole 'free' music, as I did that for a while. But for me personally, I started hearing some really good music, that they were just putting onto YT for free.
I couldn't think of a more impactful way of saying to the artist "I think your music is awesome, make more" than giving them some money, so I bought their music directly.

If only Nana Mouskouri can be convinced to post her music online, I'm set !
( I kid. She's already uploaded it all)

Anyway, Jamendo has lots of music to d/l for free

If you subscribe to Amazon Prime, then Amazon Music is free. They don’t have anywhere near as many songs as YT or Spotify, but still a decent option considering it’s free.

      • But the free tier is limited to shuffle play for most content. I only use it in the shower or when the missus is on Spotify

    • Nothing is permanent, enjoy the moment (btw I'm using YouTube Music with a Turkey subscription now)

Saying “ If you cancel, you'll change to our free plan immediately, and lose access to all subscriber benefits.” Pretty anti consumer, no way to take off credit card either. Isn’t this against law to force auto renewal ?

    • Our gov’s too busy handing out money to miners.

      • Australia’s hardest little battlers

    • yea it's pretty annoying, gotta use reminders unfortunately

  • let's see how long it stays ON before they cancel it for me.

Can i find your songs on there Mr Hiphopopotamus?

Of course, his lyrics are bottomless!

  • You're not eligible for that offer. You can still purchase Premium Individual below.

Just get spotveec - Running for free for almost 2 years now

    • Pm me the details?

Its pretty public, on iOS, its called sideloading. You need SideStore to sideload (install) ipa (application) files. Lots of guides on reddit around that.

This is the link for SpotveeC, its a tweak which lets you get premium for free: https://github.com/SpotCompiled/SpotveeC

In addition to this, I have insta, fb, youtube, youtube music too without ads.

Not sure if there's an alternative on Android for Spotify however Revanced Manager does help with few tweaks for youtube and other apps.

Can we maybe not do the reddit user mental illness stuff here?

I know I'm going to regret asking, but if you're that upset about Spotify, how are you coping with the fact the government here is also pouring your money into the military industrial complex ? Or has that not been a realisation till now ?

  • Google Spicetify for Mac and Signulous to sideload iOS Spotify Premium for nix.

  • My CC expires this month. If I use it can they still charge me after 4 months?

  • My 12 mths Spotify Premium expired a few weeks ago, so I picked up another 12 months via G2A for under A$26. No need for VPN and really easy to set up and activate

    • Had 2x individual Indian subs for wife and kid, but kid's stopped working a few weeks ago, wife's is fine. Need to look into it, but apparently there was a notification or an email saying they location didn't match. They're clamping down, be warned.

EDIT: Spotify have certainly cracked down on offshore Premium subscriptions. My email has been banned by Spotify from ever signing up again. I've lost my 600 Liked songs and there is no way to recover. Foolish me for using my primary email. Anyway I contacted Spotify and they have "released" my email…but I got 4 months free Premium

  • Revolut did not work for me, anyone else have success?

  • Spotify scammed me, I got the promo for 2 months for $0.
Turns out they charged my Google Play balance, checking the 'subscriptions' the next charge date is in Jan which lines up with the 2 month window. But for some reason they still charged me the first month..

Raised a Spotify request, they admitted it was a wrongful charge but cannot undo it since its Google play balance.
Raised a Google request, they apparently have a policy that Google play balance cannot be refunded by them.. annoying since I was about to use the whole Google balance to pay for my Google One yearly sub :boohoome:

    • On the plus side.. its been nice not to hear a RAC ad mid way through my set at the gym 😂

  • A friend just gave you 4 months of Premium for $0.00!
Hear millions of songs without ad breaks, even offline. Just $15.99/month after. Cancel anytime.
Four months for $0.00 is only for users who haven’t tried Premium before; monthly subscription fees apply after. Terms Apply。
