I believe ATL for this device with the Z1E chip with RRP $1599
Also the Z2 Go version with 512GB is $799 with RRP $1199

The correct choice.
Man, I feel like I should get a portable gaming device like this to play my steam games on the go, but I have no idea which one to get.
Hard to go past a steam deck
Go right past the steam deck OLED and get this.
Or get this and put Steam OS on it. I've been thinking about a Steam Deck for a while, but with the extra performance I would buy the Go S Z1E.
I'd be jumping on this. Either that or an OLED Steamdeck, can't go wrong either way really.
You can find a Rog Ally on Facebook Marketplace for < $600. Compared to OP, the screen, storage and battery will be smaller.
Soon enough the 32gb of RAM alone will be $1000…
A month ago I would have bought this, but now I am playing Arc Raiders all I want to do is upgrade my laptop/PC
Z1G OLED is also $500 off despite only been out for a month.
Could you elaborate? I can't find the device you are talking about
Legion Go 2 with the OLED screen but the Z1G IGPU is $500 off.
Does this run steam os?
Yes it can
Picked one up, going to load steamOS on it for an upcoming trip. Hope it goes well. Battery life seems kinda meh, but I think I'll mostly play indie games and be not too far from chargers or battery bank.
Battery is decent imo, was on 14h flight and I had to AC charge once for 6h-ish gaming, played Clair Obscur, Stardew Valley, FFT, Balatro
Anyone looking at these considering the smaller Odin 3 or Retroid Pocket 6? I prefer the smaller size, and the Odin 3 looks powerful. Odin 3 can emulate Switch and it plays low demanding Steam games via GameHub, so it is looking appealing to me.
I was thinking about a new Android device (I have the RP5 with the dual screen add-on) and the reason I'd go for this is the bigger screen and better performance. The device is more suited to playing around the house, or on the plane or a hotel room while travelling. I find the RP5 is more portable, but too big to just chuck in my pocket. So 95% of the time the use case for me, matches using the RP5 or a handheld PC anyway. When I really want something to just chuck in my pocket, it'd just go the Miyoo Mini Plus, which is just small enough to do that with, but just big enough that I am not squinting so hard with my nerd glasses on to see the screen.
Plus the basic RP6 is going to run you about $400 delivered before any accessories So you are almost half way to the cost of this thing anyway.
If I wasn't so addicted to Arc Raiders at the moment I would have bought this thing the instant it went on sale.
