The Good Guys: 18% Cashback (Capped at $150 per Member, Exclusions Apply) @ TopCashback AU

2402

Bumped into TA at TGG (in my dreams) & saw this awesome offer. Starts midnight AEDT Wed 19th Nov (all day).

  • Spend $916.67 (with GST) for max $150 cashback (per member). You can spend more but will get max $150 cashback.
  • Cashback excludes GST.

✅ Price Beat Button (automated) is eligible for cashback as long as it tracks. Confirmed with TA.

❌ Asking customer service for a price beat over the phone, web chat, text link or in-store is NOT eligible for cashback.

For better tracking, use the TopCashback app, click the 'Get 18% Cashback' pink button to the The Good Guys website (not app), mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback is ineligible on products from Apple; ASKO; Miele; Loewe; WeByLoewe; Playstation; Xbox; Nintendo Switch 2; 'Shipped by Supplier' products from brands Smeg and Fisher & Paykel; Gold Service Extras; and The Good Guys Home Services.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases completed on other channels, such as over the phone, web chat, in a physical store, on The Good Guys Commercial website, or on The Good Guys eBay store. Only transactions that are completed wholly online at thegoodguys.com.au will be eligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on any portion of the transaction paid with gift cards, store credits, 90-day StoreCash, Price Beat discounts, delivery charges, and taxes. Cashback is calculated on the total eligible amount that the customer pays on the docket after any price reductions have taken effect, and exclude delivery & GST.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of any gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Good to know

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • If any part of an order is cancelled / returned / exchanged / modified, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

So what are we all buying?

    • +5

Robot vacuums clearly based on deal posts in the last few days.

    • +21

      Nothing because of exclusions

      • +3

Agreed. They’d have rather not bothered with so many exclusions and potential pitfalls to justify not getting the reward.

        • +2

I don't think the exclusions are that bad, all of the major TV brands are eligible.
I think the bigger issue is the cap of $150, if you're looking at TVs (which I obviously am) then it isn't that helpful since most are over the max spend fl for this CB anyway

      • Lol, can't even use gift cards for any part of the payment.

        Hard pass

        • +3

Yea you can, you just won't get cashback on that part.
If you buy an $800 item but use a $400 gift card you'll only get cashback on the $400 you pay with card.

    • Dyson co-anda

    • S25FE for $749? Is that decent? My wife needs a phone

      • +1

If you have access to the Samsung education/gov employee store, I just got an S25 for $703 by trading in my old phone for $80, $775~ if not. Better deal/phone than the S25 FE.

        • I dont but thanks. $737 with price beat but its borderline, ill just wait

    • Grabbed the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Bundle. Already have one, but now I have a second for one of my team to use at events. Ended up being $899 less 18% which is well under what I got mine for originally!

  • Tony Abbott??

I found that TGG commercial is at least 20% cheaper than TGG website for some products
even after the 18% cashback, TGG commercial still has a better price

    • +5

Product selection is slim on the Commercial website.

    • +1

Thanks for this - I always forget to compare with comercial - saved me over $400 even factoring cashback

  • Slushie Makers surely

  • Ts never seems to track for me despite following all instructions 🥀🥀

My previous TGG 15%cb is still ‘under investigation’ 💤

    • +4

Love the emojis for added effect

  • +5

Why do some products not have the price beat button? It's very inconsistent and frustrating.

Regardless of the cashback, it is currently impossible to get someone on the phone or chat to ask for a price beat anyway, and most of the time they can only match.

  • +8

Stacks with CBA yello offers ($20 off/$200 spend or $30 off/$300 spend) as that's just a payment method

    • Is this CBA Yello offer targeted?

      • They're always targeted.

  • Thanks, planning on grabbing Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 for ~$203

    • There are several brands listed. Do you have a link please?

Also I already visited the site with my account but I didn't purchase it cause i wasn't sure. Should it be ok to go through the button and follow through if it isn't exluded?

        Any help appreciated

        • It seems to be included with the automated price beat button for $739. Cashback would be around $120.92.

          • @trixieb: would it work if I go through again with the cash app even though I didn't buy it after clicking ?

            • @Agent 00: It doesn't matter how many times you click without buying. Start again and click the pink button to The Good Guys website. It would track your purchase after you bought the item in your "Earnings" page. Tracking in the past has been quite quick with The Good Guys.

  • interesting before I pull the trigger, would it work on the dyson co-anda 2x?

    • +1

It seems to be included for cashback. Unfortunately it's a new item and there isn't an automated price beat. Cashback would be capped at $150 max.

    • +2

I just ordered one and TopCashback has my $150 tracked and pending.

      • thanks for letting me know!

      • did you use ios, android or on pc?

        • I did it on my Mac desktop. Used Safari and made sure I didn’t have any extensions enabled.

  • Thanks OP.

    Got a moto g86. Tracked

    • Buy it First, if you find anything better later on just cancel and get a refund. Cashback ends today

  • +1

Price beat button used, tracked within 5 minutes

  • Ooft. If the price beat matched the ninja creami I would have nabbed it.

  • I have been looking for laptops and held my trigger until yesterday. Just made my order, partial amount ($600) paid with gift card last evening……and saw this post this morning. OMG do I need to cancel the order and reorder again? Worry about the gift card credit, the situation becomes quite complicated.
    Any suggestion? Many thanks.

  • got a iphone 16e. price will go to 747. ATL?

    • +7

  • Thanks Op
Bought a fridge. Price beat button got it from $999 to $755. Cashback $135 brings the whole thing to $679 delivered. Very happy

  • How to do you get the price beat button to show? Only see option for web chat. Was showing last night for me

  • Mine hasn't tracked yet after a hour anyone else (I know it can take up to a day just being paranoid) ?

  • +2

TGG just called to say i need to pick from another location. Does this invalidate cashback? I think they simply cancelled my order n placed a new one with the other location.

    • +4

      Likely, better cancel and re-order.

      • I think so too.

  • Bought some new earphones I've been eyeing and got the price down with automatic price beat too. Instant tracking, happy days

  • 2 pack Tapo C210 Price beat for $74(~$62 after CB) is decent (doesn't beat the 2 for $44 HN deal last though)

  • Damn, I bought a new dryer from TGG just last week.

  • Ordered a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 creator combo and it tracked already.

    • What do you use it for? Are you a blogger/influencer?

  • Can I use StoreCash for partial payment and still get cashback?

    • +1

      Yes.

  • I'm new to robot vacuums, wanted to grab one with an auto empty dock, but there's like $2000 variance in price… All I know is I have family in the USA that has an iRobot, should I be going with a different company/model in Australia?

Edit: our carpets were replaced with laminate flooring, that's why I'm looking into it. Only have a couple of rugs, mostly laminate flooring.

    • Roborock is good

    • If you want to start with something cheap, this is an OzBargain favourite.

Has been cheaper (mainly via Temu cashback I think) but the value you get for the money is very good.

  • Ordered a Lenovo LOQ 15.6" i5 16GB 512GB RTX 3050 6GB Gaming Laptop, and it has been tracked for $147.11.

    • Awesome! Would this be good for cheap gaming? Any idea how capable it is? Looks like a great laptop.

      • Yeah, it's brilliant for cheap gaming, handling 1080p easily thanks to the RTX 3050 and 144Hz screen. It's also easily upgradeable, so you can bump the RAM to 32GB and add a 2TB SSD later if you need to future-proof it.

        • +1

Oh awesome!!! Thanks heaps! Pretty great value for $750 then. I also got one click and collect so will pickup this weekend. Should be fun!

  • good stuff
