The Good Guys: 18% Cashback (Capped at $150 per Member, Exclusions Apply) @ TopCashback AU

2402

Bumped into TA at TGG (in my dreams) & saw this awesome offer. Starts midnight AEDT Wed 19th Nov (all day).

  • Spend $916.67 (with GST) for max $150 cashback (per member). You can spend more but will get max $150 cashback.
  • Cashback excludes GST.

✅ Price Beat Button (automated) is eligible for cashback as long as it tracks. Confirmed with TA.

❌ Asking customer service for a price beat over the phone, web chat, text link or in-store is NOT eligible for cashback.

For better tracking, use the TopCashback app, click the 'Get 18% Cashback' pink button to the The Good Guys website (not app), mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback is ineligible on products from Apple; ASKO; Miele; Loewe; WeByLoewe; Playstation; Xbox; Nintendo Switch 2; 'Shipped by Supplier' products from brands Smeg and Fisher & Paykel; Gold Service Extras; and The Good Guys Home Services.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases completed on other channels, such as over the phone, web chat, in a physical store, on The Good Guys Commercial website, or on The Good Guys eBay store. Only transactions that are completed wholly online at thegoodguys.com.au will be eligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on any portion of the transaction paid with gift cards, store credits, 90-day StoreCash, Price Beat discounts, delivery charges, and taxes. Cashback is calculated on the total eligible amount that the customer pays on the docket after any price reductions have taken effect, and exclude delivery & GST.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of any gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Good to know

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • If any part of an order is cancelled / returned / exchanged / modified, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

  • Would this Kindle deal be included?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/933659

    • +1

Yes as it's not in the exclusion list.

  • So if I spend more than the max spend ($916.67) then I won't be eligible for the cashback?

Or is it simply the max cashback is $150 regardless of spend?

    • The latter. You can spend more and will get the max $150 cashback. The max spend figure is a guide if you want to maximise cashback.

    • It’s capped at the max

  • +2

Pulled the trigger on the DJI Mini 5, used a combination of Gift card and credit card to max out the $150 cashback first and the full $150 was tracked within minutes.

    • You are a rich guy :)

  • Exclusions say : Cashback is ineligible on products from Apple; ASKO; Miele; Loewe; WeByLoewe; Playstation; Xbox; Nintendo Switch 2; 'Shipped by Supplier' products from brands Smeg and Fisher & Paykel; Gold Service Extras; and The Good Guys Home Services."

Does that mean its blanket exclusion for any "Shipped by supplier" product or only on brands Smeg and F&P.
I am looking to buy Under bench water filteration system from Philips which also says **This product will be ordered from supplier on purchase. **

Will that be eligible for Cashback??? Can you please confirm @tightarse

    • +2

@jsb I PM TA and here's the response from TGG:

      TGG via TA:

That Philips product is eligible for cashback. “Shipped by Supplier” relates to only those selected brands that are referenced in our terms. “Ordered from supplier” is a different journey and simply means that the stock isn’t available immediately, so the product will be ordered once the customer completes the purchase.

        Thanks :)

  • Price match on the TCL 85 C7k might be too good to pass up ($2155)

  • @trixieb - Thanks for sharing. Just wondering if cashback will still track if I add a '3-year Gold Service Extras' extended warranty to my order, or would it make the whole purchase ineligible?

    • +1

      It would be fine.

      I asked TA previously:

Just no cashback on the extras. Cheers.

      • Thanks - much appreciated. Purchase tracked. Cheers

  • Has anyone tried with reolink cameras? I just bought from Amazon and considering cancelling and reordering now!

    • They are eligible for cashback.

      • Ooo thank you

    • Why would it not be?

  • Placed order with Privebeat button and tracked and pending. But wandering if cashback will be cancelled later.

    • +1

"Price Beat Button (automated) is eligible for cashback as long as it tracks."

  • +2

Great deal. I'm convinced more than half the people commenting didn't actually read the initial post, with half of the questions asking whether Apple products are eligible, and the other half asking if brands not included in the exclusion list are eligible.

  • Hey great find! I'm going to use this to pick up a C7K TV. Do you know if I can order online and then pick the TV up from the store or does it have to be delivery to get the cashback? Thanks buddy.

    • Order online via TopCashback and you can choose pick up from store for cashback.

    • Yeah same, Pulled the trigger for 65 inch C7K. for some reason they removed price check option for the 55 inch (it would have been better deal for 55 inch)

  • +1

thanks OP for this… Bought Washing machine with massive price beat, interestingly its showing in TCB tracked 18% of original price.. XD, hopefully they approve it

    • Mine tracked at original price also, took a while but has been adjusted to price beat price now.

      • yea mine reduced to 18% of $399 (paid $439).. picked up the machine 2 days ago & today cashback approved/payable.. good deal (better than hyped Blackfriday deals)

        • Got a better price than GG Commercial (and wasnt even the new watered down Benefits one)

  • Did a $77 purchase using price beat button and it tracked in 3 minutes however estimated payout is 26 weeks?! 6 months? Seems so long for $14.40

    • @JAF Can you please check on the estimated time frame again? It should be estimated payable up to 10 weeks.

I asked TA as cashback is usually paid quite quickly with TGG. TA has shortened the timeframe considerably and now adjusted in your account.

      • @trixieb my purchase from the TCB deal on Oct 8th shows 26 weeks estimated payable also, presumably purchases from previous cashbacks will also have shorter timeframes?

        • +1

@winteroce Can you please do a hard refresh and check again? TA told me that on desktop it's already live, but app may take 60 minutes to cache.

          • +1

@trixieb: Just as JAF said, it now shows 10 weeks. Love your work - cheers.

      • +1

Hi Trixieb it now shows 10 weeks , thank you so much for your help.

  • For the TopCashBack people -

Nothing to do with this deal, but I've been trying to activate a topcashback offer at cost effective maintenance and it doesn't complete activation. Gets a 404 error

    • Do you have a link to the offer? I haven't seen a current offer that requires activation.

      • If you try to go via the Topcashback site and get 13% cashback for Costeffective Maintenance it does it (not work)

  • +1

Purchased a Dyson Gen5Detect Absolute vaccuum for $865 (price beat button). After cash back works out around $720. Not bad!

    • I was looking at this also. Tossing up between this and The gen5 complete for $829. Decisions……… Stand plus accessories worth $100??

      • We have an older Dyson with accessories (maybe I should have checked they will fit!)

        • They likely won't. They do this on purpose LOL. The non powered stuff should fit. but the stand would be different as the batteries have changed.

          • @Quoc11: That’s ok for us as don’t use a stand.
Looks like most of the attachments are indeed interchangeable. Fingers crossed
            !

TCL 75" C6K QD Mini LED Google TV 2025

    $1045 after 18% off = $895 ($150 cash back)

    Is this a good bargain?!

    • I think that comes down what you personally feel but I recommended exactly this deal to a friend.
My parents and some other friends have bought some TCLs and I have been really impressed with them for the money, in particular the Mini LED units seem like good value and quite nice picture.
The only thing you need to be aware of is the compromise you are making typically with respect to processing power, normally they aren't going to be quite as snappy when menuing and such.
As long as you can deal with that (which in my experience is definitely tolerable and not that bad), I'd say it's worthwhile.

  • Can you use it more than once? Would opening another account and purchasing off it work also?

    • I wouldn't risk it because TopCashback has a fraud team that checks if multiple accounts are opened by the same person. They have closed accounts and not pay cashback if they determine it's the same person.

      • ah ok makes sense. Was gonna make my partner sign up then purchase the AC unit to get $150 off.

        • If your partner is operating the account, then it's fine.

  • We'll see how it goes longer term but prior to this program, I'd only used Cashrewards and I have to say that based on my single purchase so far, I already like this much better as it feels both less intrusive and already more reliable as the cashback transaction came up straight away - I know it may not do this every time, but it was nice to that that reassurance that it all went through.
Particularly after I had some denied cash backs with Cashrewards that made me rather unhappy, I was going to get them to delete my account, and then they ended up shutting down anyway.

So obviously hard to judge definitively on one interaction but based on this use I already have more confidence in this being worthwhile which is nice.

    • I've used TopCashback for about 2 years. It has the best customer service from the rep tightarse. tightarse used to work at Cashrewards (before the closure). I've already claimed $5868 on 8th Nov.

    • Speed of tracking varies between stores of course. Amazon for example usually takes 24 hours.

I've had good experience with TCB so far though, especially when it comes to missing cashback claims at Temu. There's the odd store here and there that isn't on TCB but is on SB. Sometimes the others might have a higher cashback but TCB have the highest cashback guarantee so you can put in a claim it and they'll beat it if you prefer to stick with them.

Oh, and no minimum payout value. I know CR removed theirs towards the end, but SB still insists on it (even if it's only $10)

  • Tracked within 10 mins. Any idea why the purchase amount on the cashback page doesn't match the actual purchase amount? Original price was $599, price beat was $585 and tracked purchase price was $544.

    • GST?

    • +1

The tracked purchase price seems to be based on the original price $599 less 10% GST = $544.
Cashback excludes GST as per terms and in the post.
      18% cashback of $544 = $97.92.

  • Got a TCL TV and it shows as having tracked in the TCB app but I didn't get any email saying it was tracked. Is that normal?

    • +1

There is usually an email for the tracking. Just checking if you are subscribed to the email.

Here is the subscription page and the toggle should be "on".

      • +1

Yep, that was turned off. Thanks - have turned it on now. The main thing is it shows as tracked on the website. Cheers.

  • +1

Thanks for this. Pulled the trigger on Breville Barista Touch. There might be slightly better deals in the next few days but I doubt it will be cheaper than this after cashback.

  • no tracking yet. ordered westinghouse oven using price beat about 90mins ago.

  • Clicked through top cashback app as recommended, placed the order, the app showed me a message that my order was recorded.. However, 12 hours later and still not tracked.. I submitted a missing cashback claim.

  • It's been 12 hours and no tracking 😪. Thinking of canceling the order now. Without the cashback, I can get the item cheaper elsewhere.

  • Ah crap, yesterday bought a TV but the today it’s cheaper than yesterday, if I request the difference via store credit or anything does that lose cashback?

  • Anyone reckon this will be repeated soon this month or with ShopBack. Order didn't go through before offer expired FML

  • Ordered a tv yesterday. Not tracked yet. Should I cancel the order?

    • Hello and sorry to hear again. Please cancel the order if you are not submitting a missing cashback claim.

You seem to have downvoted several good TopCashback offers in the last year as your orders didn't track.

Just wondering if you used the TopCashback app, mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser as recommended in my posts.

      • I have had a lot of orders which didn't get tracked on tcb. I have submitted claims for ones which I remember using tcb for and have had 2 claims he successful. But since this one is 150$ which is a really big amount, I don't know if I should bank on the claim being successful as I still haven't heard on other claims I've submitted.
I have ordered from mobile app, mobile browser, personal laptop browser, work computer browser. Cashback rarely seems to track for me. This time I ordered it from work computer browser

        • +1

Unfortunately claims take several months to be approved and paid by the retailers.

Some work computer browsers may have privacy settings that block tracking. Hence it's recommended to use the TopCashback app, mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

It's quite a large sum and it may be worth cancelling instead of submitting a claim.

  • So far TCB tracking is about 50:50 when it used to be much more reliable. Still waiting for this one to track as well as the 25% Woolies one from back in Sep…

  • No tracking for a $1700 order. I will be wary of doing big transactions with Top CB. Got screenshot and everything to prove it was bought within their app…

  • No tracking on my order despite following all of the tips for IOS (mobile data, TCB app, etc.). I’ve submitted a manual claim, hopefully this is approved. 2nd order this week not tracked using TCB, might stick with ShopBack until tracking improves.

  • Do we think we'll get a revival of this for the "big day"?

  • +1

My cashback for this offer just became payable today!!

    • Same here and was woried about it as good guys refunded the difference of something the next day. What a lucky deal!

  • So this deal turned out to be really good! Didnt realise the date of black Friday and pulled the trigger on a higher price. Mentioned it to Good guys, thinking they may give store credit or something and they automatically refunded (heart sank thinking it will ruin the cashback) Its just been confirmed and paid out so absolutely stoked. Got a tcl 65C7K for the price of the older model atg $1080 delivered. Thanks topcashback!

  • Cashback confirmed, that was quick! Thanks TA!
