    Honestly can't recommend the mic mini. You can't use it directly through Bluetooth unlike its bigger brother Mic 2

          Negative, you can. I have one and can use it with the Mimo App on my iPhone and the DJI Osmo Action 5 without Rx.

          Yes, you can. You don't need to use the RX, but then you're also limited by BT range.

      I've also got a Mic Mini and confirm it works over bluetooth.

      What you are missing out on is the 32bit float recording, not bluetooth.

        Have they updated the firmware? I'm talking about directly connecting to the mic mini via Bluetooth and not through the mimo app.

          It works with my Android phone but with iPhone the native apps doesn't allow it. You can use a 3rd party video/recording app to get around this.

    I only use my Osmo action for track days. I find that the audio is disrupted by a slight 'rattle' in the camera housing.
    How would the audio be with one if these in the car? Is this only beneficial for voice? Thanks!

      Go for Mic 2 or Mic 3 if you can instead. That said, even on casual rainy day, the DJI Mic don't seem to perform that well.

      If you're doing car stuff you might wanna think about spending more for the 32bit float audio so it doesn't clip/blow out. But I use the mic mini in my helmet when I ride and talk even at freeway speeds and it's clear as day. And I have another one in my back pocket to capture the exhuast sounds but this clips/blow out sometimes when I rev it. For you if it's inside the car, it'll be way better then the onboard on the action camera.

    Is this a good mic for meetings? If not, should I go for a headset with a boom mic? I want one that filters out background noise (especially kids running, yelling) 😀

      The DJI Mic Mini TX won't connect to the receiver on the DJI Mic 2 if that's what you were hoping to achieve. The two systems are not interchangeable.

    Does anyone know if you can use these as a solid microphone on an Android device along with earphones/headphones that are probably wireless like momentum4 or xm4s etc (since they dont make headphone jacks, and the usb-c would be occupied, and nobody wants an octopus hanging off their phone).

    Would be interested if it works for Discord/WhatsApp/Phone/Zoom etc.

    Still cant make phone calls clearly in 2025.

      yo i might steal that idea. but the problem is one more thing to charge. for stationary chat call, nothing beats a boom mount mic. but if you move around a lot, this does seems like cool idea, nicer if it has motion sensor, so it rest with the headphone when not in use.

        At home I sit in a cockpit, but on the train or walking around, I feel like nokia 3310 was peak.

        Certainly charging is a pain with these things im even willing to go fully wired but nothing works good in noisy environments.

        Meanwhile streamers are walking aorund in the grand bazaar or tokyo on halloween with this thing and 5 people mic'd up in their group… but they dont need audio out, they can use a whole different device for that.

        I dont get how the annoying guy on the train yapping does it. Honestly.
