Where are the prices from the description from?

          • +17

@Rated3: Ffs. I think I’ll stop sharing early deals.

            • +7

@HamBoi69: These deals should really be for Platinum members

            • -1

@HamBoi69: I thought there was an early catalogue to see, that is all. Enjoy your evening.

              • +3

@Rated3: There isn’t. I just found out these deals and thought I’d share them. That’s all I’ve ever done.

            • @HamBoi69: maybe limit it to 3 days early access for Ozbargain Premium users from now on.

          • +3

            @Rated3: Are you a cop?

        • +1

Well, I think both right. Tomorrow AEST, IN 2 days AEDT.

    • wow psvr 2 is under 500 now its about time :D, its good on PS5 and PC now because eye tracking is now supported on PC as well now with that headset.

  • +2

    Is this the non-slim model?

    • +2

Nope, there's no such thing anymore. That stopped production 2 years ago, so you won't find a new one for sale anymore.

  • -1

Wonder what their stock levels are like, these will likely go in minutes

Great prices, want a pro but not likely my chances

    • +2

I'd check Amazon price before I'd blow $1K with BigW. Amazon will likely match.

      • True, good advice

      • Couple of questions from the uninitiated…
        1) what is wrong with buying from Big W? Is there poor warranty?
        2) why price match with Amazon over Harvey Norman?

        • Amazon is easy to deal with regards to warranty and replacement. BigW/HN would be fine, but I'd prefer to deal with Amazon for orders around $1K

          • @GardenGnome: Awesome good to know. I was about to get the PSVR2 from Big W but noticed it was $20 cheaper on Amazon

  • +1

ps5 pro price by next nov? when gta 6 actually comes out? im thinking like 799 prolly

    • +5

or $1399 because inflation out of control and FIAT money is hot garbage

      • FIAT still way more stable than most crypto..

  • +1

with a nice cashback, ill jump for the PSVR2

    • tomorrow 28% cashback for everyday market

      • Tcb or shop back?

        • Shopback. “Up to 28% 12pm-6pm AEDT on November 21”. However as of right now the price isn’t updated there yet. It still shows $649. But it’s $499 on Big W’s website.

    • +1

cashback alive big w updated their price to $499 to match their website. finger crossed for the tracking

      • Big W's website now shows $479. Not sure if Everyday Market's listing will update later.

        • may not have stock later

  • +1

I was about to pull the trigger.. but ive seen a lot of honest feedback saying they can barely tell the difference to their old PS5.
If you are the kind of person that resents that feedback, this is for you.

    • I have both - I can tell the difference. 120 frames per second is pretty noticeable compared to 60. (If your TV is capable of 120Hz)

Also, FSR looks like a dog’s breakfast on PS5. PSSR is better.

      • I bought one. Yeah,it looks good.
Playing control, ratchet, death stranding so far.. awesome.

Gears reloaded honestly looks a bees dick from my 4090 set up.. barely any difference, so yeah impressed. My PC died, in for repairs so snagged one. No regrets.

I will say party with my kid.. so much easier to talk, share pics and screens..

  • +1

If PS5 Pro was bundled with the disc drive at this price, I might buy.

    • +7

how do they even call it a pro without a drive.

      • -1

Sony is the Apple of the gaming world

Here is our new Pro device will less basic features

You can buy these basic features for more than what they would cost had we just included them

        So so brave 🤣

    • +2

PS5 Pro is FAAAAR more powerful than the Steam GabeCube will be. Yet word on the street is that it will cost the same as a PS5 Pro.

It won’t have an optical drive either…

      • +1

It’s also marketing itself as a PC, which is different from a locked-down console in that the hardware platform itself is inherently more open than a console, meaning not only can you install and play games from different storefronts than the namesake Steam, but you can also use it as a traditional desktop computer with a keyboard and mouse.
Which is why Valve is not subsidising its price, since corporations will probably buy it if as their computers if the price is too low.

        • +1

No corpo would buy one unless it was like under $500 AUD. And besides, Valve could easily stop corpos from buying it.

I’m in Japan at the moment, I wanted to buy a switch 2 while I’m over here, but it’s impossible to get one in Japan at the moment unless you have an existing Nintendo online account (which is Japan-based) and have a certain number of hours logged in like Zelda BOTW or TOTK or Mario Cart or something like that on the switch 1.

Valve could say that only people with pre-existing Steam accounts with 100 hours in DOTA 2 or Counterstrike are eligible to buy a GabeCube.

Either way, the Steam Machine needs to be significantly cheaper than an RTX 4060 prebuilt from Tech Fast - by hundreds of AUD - or it’s DOA.

  • +1

What time this start? Big w banner says 5am.

  • +2

These would all likely be firmware 10.xx or above hey

    • +1

What’s the deal with firmware I keep seeing people talk about

      • +3

I believe anything below 7.61 is usable for eye-patch wearing and sailing activities, if you catch my drift.

        • +2

          Aye aye captain

          • @HairyChickens: Atm it seems up to 9.60

my ps5 fat og is 9.40 so i could definitely try sail already but waiting for more stable

  • Any suggestions on where to grab some gift cards?

  • +1

last time ps5 pro went down couple of months back it hit $949 and I regretted not getting one. Wonder if it'll hit that low again…

  • Do you know what time tomorrow BigW will open PS5 sale with this promotional price? Thanks

  • Just in time for the PS5 (Pro) release of Stalker 2, a game that was released this time last year with so many bugs that version 1.7 is getting a full 'remastered' style release, rather than admitting that like most games these days it was released buggy in an alpha state.

Either way, the game is friggin awesome despite the bugs. I'm still playing the PC version. It crashes every time I play. Still worth it.

  • +1

Ps5 pro getting up there in cost. I do wonder if I'd be better of getting a gaming PC even though it would be a lot more. Some games are just better on PC.

I also feel like I've have waited so long it's almost ps6 release time.

  • I don't know how to create new threads but The Good Guys are selling the PSVR2 charging station for $19 plus delivery. JB will match at $25 because TGG is online only.

    • I think you mean $79?

      • Oh, nah it was $19 earlier but now it's showing $79. My apologies.

Mine is sitting at JB waiting for pickup at $25.

  • -1

can we have 4% cashback for the ps5 pro?

  • looks like it is cheaper to buy ps5 digital and addon disc later?

    • +1

Yes, as long as you can get one. I’m expecting the Gamesmen deal will run out very quickly.

    • But that's the 825gb model whilst the disc here is 1TB.

You're much better off buying the disc one for the extra storage

  • That Digital for $489 it’s a damn good deal.

    • +1

      It’s actually $449

      • Wow even better considering that RAM and NAND prices keep rising.

      • how to get at 449

        • The Ebay deal tomorrow morning

  • If you want a PS5 just do it.

The revised 825GB models are arriving in the country and will replace the existing 1TB models.

    Same RRP.

  • +2

Hmm was about to buy it, but right this minute, it's still showing $1199.
    JB Showing $979 though.
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/ps5-playstation-5-pro-con…
edit: with $10 off as joining with new email, $969 done and dusted.

    • $979 might be as good as it gets.

    • Updated to correct start time of 5am.

  • $629 is not ATL for ps5 though

  • I just bought Astro Bot and Death Stranding 2 @ JB, sorry Big W, I couldn't hold out, my wife will be very disappointed.

  • Does the Sony pro not come with disc drive are they all digital? I assume the pro no longer comes with disc drives? So which ones still come with drives and are they older models them with drives?

    • No pro you have to get a standalone drive. Slim disc is what im going for replacing my burnt out (power supply blown up) original ps5.

    • PS5 Pro, no disc drive, have to buy the disc drive separately (Target used to sell it at a discount, $109, and JB was willing to price match (you need to ask the staff), but now it is back to RRP).
PS5 Slim, there is a version with disc drive. However, the most recent model's internal SSD reduced back to 825GB (same as OG PS5 / PS5 Phat). There are still some leftover PS5 Slim with disc drive + game bundles where the PS5 Slim with disc drive has 1TB SSD.

It's annoying, but for digital ones, once you buy the disc drive, you essentially have faceplates for both digital and disc.

  • Why are they making the internal SSD smaller not bigger. Games keep getting bigger, 1tb isn't enough already and 825gb certainly isn't especially if no disc drive.

I play NBA 2k and COD and bang! 400gb gone already.

I get I can buy another SSD.

  • PSVR2 is $478 at HN or $479 at JB.

  • +1

Picked up the PS5 disc edition for $629 and stacked it with 5% off Big W gift cards through Bupa. Also scored 5150 in Everyday Rewards points to sweeten the deal, worth about $25.75. Probably not the best deal out there, but still pretty happy with it!

  • I find it very suspect that Playstation/xbox doing all these deals the moment Steam mentioned they will release their own console.
