Note To Mods/Power Users: This is an intentional technical duplicate. This deal went under the radar as the $899 model was buried within the description of this post. As a result of not being included in the title despite being the cheapest model, I believe it did not receive as much attention as it would have otherwise. Even I missed it while making my table for this post and incorrectly marked the $1059 256GB model the cheapest active deal. You're welcome to merge and modify, but I believe this deserves a fresh post for the benefit of the community.

Mod: Removed 256GB from title as it is in title of previous deal. Duplicate exception applies for 128GB and 512GB (not in title of previous post). Duplicate Guidelines - Exceptions.

    +1 for the tables.

Waiting for Friday to see what Google Store drops for their Black Friday sale.

    • +12

Arnt their black friday deals always absolute trash? I cant recall them ever having any sale that was worthwhile

      • Will likely match this Telstra pricing, however easier returns/warranty repairs direct through Google

        • +2

It doesn't matter where you bought a pixel device from, google will still do warranty, of course not returns.

        • +2

I bought from jb hifi at launch and recently ended up doing an RMA through Google directly . I was able to negotiate doing the version where they send you your replacement before you return the defective phone without issues

          • @tzar: That's good to know, previously they wouldn't send a replacement swap before you return the defective device if you didn't buy it direct from them.

The Google Store Black Friday sale is terrible so will put an order through for the Telstra 9 XL now.

  • +1

    Wasn't pixel 7 around $200

    • Sure, if you can link me to someone's comment confirming they received an unlocked Pixel 7 for $199, I'll replace the ATL for it.

    • +5

$299 and its 2 generations older with support until 2027 (5 years total). The Pixel 9 Pro has support until 2031 (7 years total). The P7P also loses features, as a non-AI phone and loses some of the newer apps like pixel journal. It also has stopped getting monthly updates this month. It comes down to the user and what they want, to which is a better deal.

Pixel 7 Pro = Pixel 9 Pro XL (XL is around the same size as the old pro range (<P8P)

    • -1

as someone who has a pixel 7 I don't think its worth 200 anymore

  • +8

I appreciate the effort in this post - thanks

  • +1

    Waiting for lower

  • +12

Too many pixels deals, can't even keep up with which one is a better deal.

  • sub $700 and then ill jump on it

    • +24

it'll probably break if you do that

      • +2

        Hi Dad.

        • +1

Saying that to a stranger raises questions!

  • Anything for 9 Pro?

    • +4

Sorry, it's OOS at Telstra since it was $799 two weeks ago. I don't see a deal in stock anywhere else at the moment considering the ATL of $747.

  • Seems I can't use my work Telstra sim to get a Telstra ID. That's a bit annoying.

  • +6

Pixel 7 pro for $299 is still my pick for the overall best value pixel

    • +3

For non-AI, it is the better option. Support does end in 2027 thought (2031 for P9PXL). Still amazing value for a phone that performs great in 2025

    • +1

My non pro pixel 7 is still going strong apart form all the cracks. So i think you are right!

  • +1

    +1 for post.

    Will hold for lower.

  • +1 for post

    +1 for post
But will hold out a bit longer

  • Are these phones locked to Telstra? Do we need to add a plan?

  • +1

+1 for post and note to mods

  • Anyone has screenshot/photo of $697 price of Pixel 9 pro xl from previous deal? Or anyone would like to share receipt in private message please?

    • +1

What's the plan if I may ask?

    • any help from anyone please?

  • +1

    Very well researched post. Cheers!

    Hi Admin,

Could we have an additional “positive/negative” button or some other way to differentiate between votes for the deal itself and votes for the post/description?

I’ve noticed that many posts receive lots of positive reactions, which can make it look like the deal is great — but often those positives are for the description or the effort, not the actual deal value.

It would be helpful if we could clearly separate feedback on the deal from feedback on the post.

    Thanks!

    • Can you find a cheaper deal currently?

      • +1

I am not saying that this deal is not good. I am also not taking any credit away from OP for his / her well written / formatted post. This is similar to Woolworths / Coles posts where the posts are nice formatted in table and all the required information there for us to make an informative decision.

I am just looking at the comments and most have said +1 for the post / description.

So the above is just a suggestion. This suggestion will still give + votes to OP for his / her efforts and can help us identified great deal. If both are good, the OP gets double votes.

    • +2

You're welcome to send that as an official suggestion on the 2025 Comments / Feedback / Suggestions Thread and the team will see it. :)

  • +1

Very tempted. Would jump if 10XL but this still seems quite expensive for a phone released August 2024

  • +1

Optus users that are here considering the 9Pro XL, there is $1000 off the 10 Pro XL if you stay for 24/36 months.

The 10Pro XL 256 is $998 plus cost of plan.

  • would have bought it but no Telstra ID… Hope another shop will match that price in rhe coming days.

    • Does anywhere else have any stock left thought?

      • No idea, maybe not? I guess we’ll see in the coming days/week.

might want to setup an account for $1.

      • Thanks! Tagging the other people that were looking for a way to create a Telstra ID: @flagstones @jskf01

  • Hi op
    +1 for the writing

  • Hello
    Should we wait?
How long would this deal last for?

    • +4

It's for Black Friday which Telstra runs till 1 December. There's a chance Telstra runs out of stock much sooner like the 9 Pro at $799 did two weeks ago.

It's your call whether you'd like to wait and HODL or lock this in. Telstra does have 7 Day Price Match policy though I'm not familiar with its details.

      • thank you

  • Does the 9 pro XL share the same camera and sensor with the 9 pro?

    • +1

      Yes - exactly the same

  • With all the cheap pixel deals lately, are people really that desperate for the 9 pro when it's hundreds of dollars more than the 8 pro was recently?

    • Read the room brother, more about the official support of the devices (software, security patches) which cease for 8, over 9XL (2031)

      • +1

the 8 still has years of support, October 2030 to be precise, so a few months less?

  • +6

Not an ATL. We had better prices back in July
    128GB $898, 256 GB $998, 512GB $1098

Seeing this was 4 months ago, and requires a Telstra ID, this is at best an ok deal, but nothing to write home about.

    • Thanks! I only meant to claim ATL on the 128GB which is just a dollar off from that. I'll clarify it's not the lowest for the other storage models.

  • I caved on the 9 pro XL, had a heap of telstra points sitting there doing nothing.

  • +1

    Telstra ID Required

I read this as an ID from Telstra

  • Google Pixel 10 128GB $898 with Bonus HN $100 E-Gift Card so $798

  • Outstanding post OP, very detailed.

  • I got my Pixel 9 pro XL yesterday (from telstra).

Interestingly, it doesn't come with a year free Gemini AI pro anymore. Not that I can see anyways.

Anyone else have any luck setting it up? I thought all pixel 9 phones came with 1 year.

  • These upvotes are mostly for the table up top, not this individual phone deal.

  • +1

Thanks OP for the post! I slept on the 9 Pro deal earlier on so I had to get this XL. I do think the price will get lower eventually but I'm ok paying the premium now, pixel 7 pro screen is gone as well as the battery.

  • The 8 pro is 679. It's misleading to not include the mandatory $30 for a plan

  • Got this a couple weeks ago. Pretty good phone. Only problems I've had are the finicky wireless charging. It doesn't play nice with Qi2/Qi2 chargers.

  • Nice write up.

  • Great post. Sad to say bye to the old S21U, but this looks a solid deal.

  • +3

Obsidian 128gb out of stock :(

Ordered one last night then got an email today saying ''we're unable to proceed with your order right now as we need to verify ID' - which I already completed when purchasing the phone. Not sure why they don't just say sorry we're out of stock instead of claiming it's an ID issue.

    • assholes lied to me too and cancelled our order due to "ID"

wish there was something you could do about it

  • a + for a fantastic table of phone deals!

  • 512GB Obsidian is the only one left in stock
