There is a checkout issue with some G5 pricing on the partner site. Lower price is not reflected correctly at checkout. The issue has been reported and they are fixing it.
Issue is fixed, and actually price on partner site now even lower than in OPs title, and LG gave me an extra 5% off coupon, and should also get an extra 5% off through Yello.
83" G5 for well under $6k!
In my case the responses are a bit iffy.
"I do get your point xxx and I completely agree with you. Well, I can try to send a request to our team if we can honour the price that was advertised on the product page. Just to set your expectation straight, there's no guarantee in it."
Followed by
"I think the price would still be $3,457.05 as that was meant to be the updated price. Can you please confirm if this is the correct email xxx@xxx.edu.au?"

@akild: I love our 77” C1, it will be moved to our bedroom and have an 83” G5 arriving next week. We have a 65” in our retreat and it’s significantly smaller. I’d strongly recommend going to see the two in person. I’d have a 77 C5 over a 65” any day of the week.

The price when i put the tv in checkout was higher than the price listed on the site. I sent their customer service chat screenshots of both prices and they sent me a special coupon code. But it just so happened they also fixed the website error too. So i was able to stack the coupon on top of the fix. I guess i got lucky…

Price on C5 65 inch went up yesterday from around $2400 to 2627. There were a brief few hours where you could get the C5 65 + a S80TR bundled for just over $2500. Now at $2775. Wondering if prices will drop further next week? Anyone on OzBargain a fortune teller?

I don’t think there will be any difference for Black Friday vs Cyber Monday. Maybe for Boxing Day but definitely not for Cyber Monday. Most companies see this entire sales event as Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
i can get the C5 83 for just under $5K but still not worth it imo .. and the same sized G5 for 5.9K
Personally, the extra $900 is worth it. A TV of this size isn’t upgraded every year.
Depends on lots of things i guess, where you put it, how much you watch it, what you watch, if you care about the difference in oled vs qled vs whatever else, ambient light situation. G5 is the next jump in tech if that floats your boat. The C series is amazing too, perfectly fine. Our mounting position is better with a flush setup for certain reasons. And the ambient light in our room is significant enough while watching during the day to cause some issues but again thats just my situation.

The coupon they gave me was single use one day only attached to my LG account. Yello bonus 5% cashback just landed in account today. So with BF 33% off on partner site plus 5% coupon plus Yello 5% the G5 83 inch came out at $5779.
People who have that 15% off promo coupon from Sept might get a slightly better deal.

2. $100 trade in of old TV

4. $150 cashback via AMEX card (only through LG site, unsure if partner portal works)
Price paid - $2733, might not be the best ever but pretty happy. Can't wait to get this thing set up.
