I have the first gen with the fan, i dont notice it especially over the fans in my case or sounds from games..
This one still has fan but you would never notice it tbh.

Nah, had a AW3418DW. Whole panel died 2.5 years, got it replaced with a AW3420DW because i had extended care.
These days they have next business day onsite warranty for 3 years
