The Yoga 7i Slim is reviewed as having one of (if not the) longest battery runtimes of any x86 notebook**. It rivals many of the Qualcomm ARM notebooks and even beats the MacBook Air in some battery life tests, while being just as light. Both variants offer respectable performance for everyday computing and productivity tasks, a premium aluminium construction, and include a good selection of ports.

Other bundled promos:

  • Upgrade to a 3 year onsite support for an additional $111 (45% off $223)
  • Laptop sleeve for $1 when buying the 2-in-1

I bought the 2-in-1 because, for me, ~100g/$100 extra is a fair compromise since I occasionally use the other modes, and the Slim model doesn’t have a fingerprint reader for some reason.

** PS: The review linked above tested a model with an FHD OLED screen. The 2.8K OLED version currently on sale may have a slightly shorter battery life.

  • I was just looking at this earlier, but at Lenovo Outlet where it's listed for $1419.35.

Probably worth noting that you can get or ask for a 5% coupon via chat or for your first order. Also the non-outlet model is listed as "Ships FREE within 2-3 weeks", something which was a no go for me.

I picked up the 16inch version on the outlet about a month ago for around $1479 delivered. Great value and has been a good laptop for me.
Also adding it came in a generic lenovo box - literally nothing but the laptop, no paperwork, just in huge bubble wrap. But looks flawless, no damage anywhere, no marks. looks brand new (as a proper refurb device from an OEM should).

    • Do you have a link? All I can see on the outlet is refurbished.

      • Yes. Outlet is "certified refurbished". Here's the one I was referring to.

        • Just FYI that’s a different model with a higher-end 255H CPU which operates at a higher wattage. It will have better performance, but the battery life won’t be the same.

  • This was sub $1500 not too long ago for the slim 7i Aura. Have seen it around $1500 on amazon also. Wouldn't say this is a deal.

    • You’ve probably seen the previous 9th-gen 7i with Meteor Lake CPUs, I’ve seen those going for around $1500 (here is one). However, that older generation doesn’t come close to the new Luna Lake Series 2 CPUs in terms of battery life and GPU performance (or NPU capabilities for what its worth).

I'm positive it was the gen 10 Aura with the 258V. Prices have been hiked.

        • You might have been looking at the outlet website, which mainly sells refurb units.

I have the 14' 2.8k OLED screen with the Ultra 5 228V, 32gb RAM and 512gb storage, I can definitely vouch for the battery life from 100-0 it lasts almost 18 hours doing standard tasks like browsing, notepad etc but I only tested that like 3 times, most of the time I try to keep it within 20-80% to preserve the battery health as much as possible (i dont use all day anyway).

The internal GPU is also pretty good btw, you can play Cyberpunk, Baldurs Gate 3 etc at pretty acceptable frame rates.

My only complaint is that its heavier than the Surface 7 which I upgraded from.

There is also an AMD version but it has worse battery life and worse internal GPU but better CPU performance.

Also fyi this is not as good of a deal as EOFY as I got that configuration for around $1500 during EOFY deals

  • Is the body aluminum or plastic?

  • Been this price for months

    • Lenovo started Early black Friday deals on October 27th.

      • Just shows the sales are pretty continuous, bf following on from eofy

    • Not a good deal, the linked yoga 7i's have the integrated intel graphics rather than the new intel arc 140V graphics

What do you mean? The Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 Processor 258V has Intel Arc 140V integrated GPU.

The JB Hifi one you linked is literally the same CPU with the same integrated GPU.

    • So many bad reviews about the qualitynof product, touch and keypad issues.

  • What’s the difference between the Aura editions on Lenovo’s site and the normal ones on JB Hifi/Officeworks?

Looking to get this tomorrow. I can do a pickup at JB versus waiting for delivery from Lenovo if there’s no substantial difference.

    • Based on the specifications, the non-convertible slim Aura model sold at JB appears to be identical to the one from Lenovo.

  • Unless I'm mistaken, I think the 2-in1 version is $100 cheaper here:

    • Unless I'm mistaken, I think the 2-in1 version is $100 cheaper here

It’s almost the same model, but the one from JB (and Officeworks for that matter) doesn’t include a fingerprint reader. That’s why I didn’t bother price-matching when I bought mine a few days ago from Lenovo (JB hadn't lowered the price when I bought mine), as mentioned FP reader is a must-have for me, and you can also get a 3 year on-site warranty for quite cheap.
JB’s 3 year return-to-base warranty is $269 (which you may be able to negotiate down). But if you don’t need the extended warranty or the fingerprint sensor, JB’s deal is better. Will update the OP.

      • Oh I see, didn't realise the differences, thanks for the info.

  • JB selling the same one for 1699

Yeh dont forget SB and TCB frequently have 15%+ cashback for lenovo.com

Price dropped to $1699 on Lenovo's website now, probably to match JB and Officeworks. Code ANAC10126 provides another 5% off. If you want touchscreen, have to order through Lenovo.

    • Thanks, updated the OP.

    • Will using this code affect the ShopBack Cashback?

      • Yes, no cashback with 5% code

  • +1

@opt looks like additional warranty is now $111?

    • Thanks, updated the OP

    • Where do you find the option for additional warranty - I don't see it?

      • +1

After you click add to cart, next option is services

        • I already had it in my cart and didn't see any way to change it.
It just seem to hang after adding to the cart using Firefox, but all good on Chrome - thanks!

  • +1

These are the exact two I have been watching as well. Was hoping they would drop another $200 lower for say Cyber Monday or something but looks like not going to happen. Good deal.

  • I can get the aura 1699$ effectively for 1350$
    - 220 topcashback
    -150 GST refund

Should I pull the trigger or there may be a better deal tomorrow?
