  • Great find OP, I believe Joshua Weissman recommends these too.

  • Thanks. Had my eye on this one.

    What's the coupon? I can't see it

    • it disappeared 5 seconds ago :(

  • I looked at all the pans this morning and decided I’ll wait for the scanpan axis to go on sale. They look to be the best with the copper core.

    • If you find a good deal, please post! I am looking to buy the same.

I gave up in the end and set up an alert in camels for it haha. Will def post if it's triggered. Looks to be an end dec/early jan kind of sale from the history.

    • My axis pan failed around the rim of the pan, the inner and outer layer separated from each other. Sharp metal wire started breaking away…

      • Oh no… Did scanpan repair it? That's pretty bad for a piece at this price point.

        • I had to return for a refund to the retailer as the shop or supplier didn't have stock in the country for 3 months. Once they came back into stock, the price went up and only now the price is the same I paid, exactly one year later during black Friday sales.

Don't get me wrong, the heat distribution is great on them but finding wire in your food is not a good look.

          • @zuuutoootuuu: That is one uncomfortable story, almost as if they decided to then bake in the cost of warranty claims after the fact. Hopefully it's because they realised the previous batch was not so good, they contracted a new blacksmith to hammer the layers in really well at extra cost. They are still covering the pans for 10 years according to the website though. Either way, I'm not biting until the price is somewhat reasonable. Crossing my fingers :)

    • Just fry pans? Or did you research saucepans too? Because I need to replace all my (nonstick) cookware and want good quality SS!

I'm after a 20cm sauce pan. Fry pans don't need to be heated for too long methinks, so they don't suffer too much from uneven heat, which makes the copper core less interesting. 20cm base should be large enough to fry a steak, so I can use it that way too. I do have a 20cm scanpan impact fry pan though.

Madein is top tier, along with All-Clad. Scanpan is more of a budget brand.

  • the code disappeared as i went to check out, that sucks

  • Can't see coupon? It was there 2 days ago but not anymore?

  • Ah shame the coupon disappeared so quickly. Congrats OP. A bargain for $126 - plus whatever discounted gift cards too.
Might try the AmazonCommercial tri-ply as a budget version

    • I'd say wait for a deal on the Tramontina Grano. I'm loving the 26cm one I got last year for about $70. Was well worth it. The 30cm will be excellent too but only if it hit sub $100.

      • Greenpan triply is currently half price at Myer. $99 for 30cm. Can’t vouch for them personally but I believe they’re pretty well known for their ceramic frypans.

    • I bought the one you linked a few months ago and have been very impressed, honestly don't know how it could be improved.

    • I'd recommend the IKEA Sensuell, it's a great one!

      • I did consider this too. I had a look in store but hated the handle. Its too short and it cant go in the oven. Also more expensive than the amazon one.

  • Saw it but didn't buy damn

  • Awesome deal. I've had mine for 3 years and love it.

This is a solid pan. Used one for years, liked it so much, bought a second when I got a larger stovetop. IKEA also sells glass lids that fit them.

    • Honestly I've been so happy with my Sensuell fry pans.

  • Very good price for an excellent pan. Is $132 with the $20 ZIPPAY code.

    Local suppliers are ~$170-190.

You will need to spend $200 to use the Zip pay. There’s 5% off for NAB CC payment which will bring to $147.

      • +1.

Ah I had misread, was just quickly browsing the coupons on mobile.

Deal back up again, the $29 coupon just appeared for me.

    • It's not currently available. I will keep checking

  • Is the 10inch worth it or is it getting too small?

    • +1

I cook mostly for myself and 10 inch is enough. It feels a bit small when I cook a (large) dish for two.
