If you are buying 2 (not 3), use NOVSAVE for $10 off instead ($10 off $100-$299) and save $0.76 :o

  • +8

I got it for $53.90 by using the code "BLKFRI" (no ebay plus required) and selected click and collect at my local store

    • +3

Nice one, that BLKFRI 30% off code is targeted so it doesn't appear on listings for me.

      • +1

Ahh I wasn't aware, can't seem to edit my comment to say that :(

        • +1

No need, added to OP. Good reminder.

  • -4

i think better to wait for new steam controller
which seems to be better if you buying this for pc games

    • +8

But it's likely to be near double the price right?

    • +3

You're not wrong. I will be waiting for that alongside yourself I presume.

    • +2

Oh yeah, and what is the release date and price for that?

    • +2

Price is what I'm worried about. Xbox Elite and PS Pro controllers are over $250. And that's being conservative. Would this be in that category? It's got rear buttons, gyro, and dual thumb pads.

I'd hope they were the same price as the regular controllers though. I'm curious enough to get one to try it out.

      • If Steam Controller is $200, it’s basically DOA.
DualSense has adaptive triggers and a touchpad but no back buttons for $70.

        • If Steam Controller is $200, it’s basically DOA.

I don't get these pronouncements. It's pretty much best in class hardware that occupies a very specific niche.
This is like saying the RTX 4090/5090 are DOA because they are too expensive.

Just like the Elite and PS Pro (and Razr wolverine) have an audience, this too will have takers, especially for folks with steam decks and used to the additional features like gyro aiming, touchpads etc.

Thank you for posting! I ended up with the black version that came down to $53.90 with a voucher that came up.

It may be an eBay plus thing, but other colours also have the $21 voucher listed as an option

  • Great price, thank you!

  • Oh damn it. Sonic blue vs Mario red. Which one?!

    • Red looks slightly more popular if that helps :p

      • +2

Will red help me finish games faster?!

        • +1

Only if you put flame stickers on the sides.

        • Yes, summon Mario to help you.

    • I went with Princess Peach Pink

      • Yeah that Peach one looks good too! I'm still stuck. I might have to buy all three.

        • Luigi Green to round out the set.

  • Thank you, great purchase!

  • $77 lowest i can get it too. both codes dont work for me.. :(

    • Do you have eBay Plus?

      • Nah i dont!

        • Get a one month trial, thats what i did.

  • thanks bought 2

  • -6

obligatory "elite is so much better" comment. I won't be able to live without those paddle controls on the back.. a real game changer.. no pun intended looool

  • +3

I could never go back to a Microsoft controller after getting a Gamesir. Paying a premium for stick drift is absurd.

    • +1

Good for Xbox? I have couple Xbox controllers exhibiting either stick drift or sticky keys. Tired the YT tutorials to open up and clean but no luck

      • +1

I only use it on Xbox. Wired may be a negative for some people but it's negligible for me. The benefits far outweigh any negatives.

        • +1

Thanks will look into it. Series S on my desk can go wired prob. Living room will def need wireless.

    • 100%. The Xbox controllers feel like trash after trying Gamesir Supernova or a Easysmx D10. You can usually get either under $40 easily after coupons and cashbacks on Aliexpress

      • Any on black friday sale?

      • +1

I just bought the pink Xbox controller without reading other posts.

I'll have to read up if the Supernova can go wireless on Xbox, PS5 and Switch 1/2 because it's currently on sale for $75 on their official site.

The name Gamesir is ridiculous but then I guess I also bought a pink controller, so who am I to judge.

        • -4

Nah they dont work with PS5 or Xbox consoles. I didnt know people were still gaming on Xbox, a dead platform.

I bought like 5x Xbox controllers to use for gaming on my PC until I bought a budget Easysmx $15 controller and was surprised by how good it was for the price, then slowly upgraded to a EasySMX X05 Pro and then the EasySMX D10 and then the Gamesir Supernova. The Supernova is the best one. Build quality is 10/10. And yes, they all work with Switch without any issues.

EDIT: Gamesir also has their G7 Pro wireless controller that works with XBOX but its over $100 though.

          • +1

@SeanConnery: People still play games they enjoy, regardless of platform.

          • +1

            @SeanConnery:

I didnt know people were still gaming on Xbox

Erm, the XBox has an install base of around sixty million consoles, of course people are gaming on it πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    • +1

I've had three controllers and two xbox 360 never had issues..still work until this day

      • Either you're extremely lucky or barely use them.

  • +2

Thanks hamza! Got a pink and a blue for the kids.

  • this one doesn't have the wifi dongle which enables it to connect to pc right?

    • +2

You don't need a dongle nowadays. Works straight with Bluetooth as long as your PC has it.

      • cool, guess I need to update myself.

Does the Bluetooth connection introduce latency?

        • +1

Most likely. Not sure to what extent it will affect your gameplay though. Also, I think the USB dongle allows multiple controllers to be connected to a single dongle.

          • +2

@Munki: I have three controllers so I can play with the kids. Two worked fine with just the motherboard Bluetooth, but adding the third was a no go. Had to buy the dongle separately to get more than two at a time to work properly.

            • +1

@Kintamarama: Yeah surprisingly PC bluetooth sucks for actual 3+ multiplayer wireless couch gaming in the living room, even though it seems like a normal standard use case you'd expect to work (since all consoles for decades can easily do it). Sometimes just 2 players will have issues too.

I bought several controllers, new bluetooth dongles, and even a PCI bluetooth card, but STILL had problems until I bought a MS wireless receiver for windows.

If you share the controllers between an xbox (or another PC, or 8bitdo adapters into your Switch, etc) you'll have to sync often too, which is slow and unreliable in windows (sometimes it doesn't work, or you have to delete it's profile from the windows bluetooth menu, or unsync it from other devices…).

With the MS receiver it's much easier: syncs instantly when you plug the controller into the PC you want to use it on, then stays synced to the wireless receiver when you unplug, until you sync it to another PC or console.

Probably one of the reasons the new steam controller has a proprietary wireless protocol and includes it's own adapter/charger.

  • Hoping the xbox series x comes on sale with all these ps5 deals happening!

    • Waiting for the same but doesn't look like it will happen.

      • Crossing fingers

  • There is also some LE controllers at $74 eg. Heart breaker:

    • -1

I wouldn't spend extra on these nicer designed ones. I've had 4 controllers get stick drift. One of them being the xbox one elite controller. A whole generation later they still didn't fix the issue. Predatory tactics, disappointing, disingenuous, outrageous.

  • Thanks, BLKFRI worked for me, always good to get a spare controller at a cheap price for when existing controller suddenly decides to stop functioning correctly in some way

  • -7

The most overrated, over priced and recycled per generation controller of all time.
    Don't buy

  • Was waiting for a controller to go on sale, cheers for this. I got the pink one for my partner~

  • I have PXN controller for PC. Hall effect. Might be better than this if you are buying this to connect to PC?

  • Cheap. Just got one from JB and a battery pack (but had gift vouchers sitting and nothing to use on).
Still got to sell a new PS 5 dualsense, too much trouble with windows/steam (they are now a bit cheaper, $85)

  • nice my son broke my daughters pink controller so cant complain with $57 to replace

    • +1

Know this feeling just ordered another Pink replacement as my Son/Daughter have been through about 10.
Wish they didn't get the drift bug. Multiple sitting in cupboard as they're unusable.

  • Great controller… Using it for E33.

  • I collected my order in store today. One of them had extra tape over the seal and batteries were missing.

    • Just get an Xbox Rechargeable Battery + USB-C Cable.

I got a PS5 dualsense from Officeworks less than a week ago but assume (and checked) - open box cannot return. I would try if i opened the packaging better.

      • Lack of batteries doesn't bother me. Got plenty of eneloops. More the fact I potentially got a returned item.

        • Did it seem like new otherwise? Guess could take back and complain / swap but probably ok?

Those battery packs are cool anyway, my old one was USB Micro which is the main annoyance and a lot of my rechargeable batteries seem like they've had it these days.

          • @G-Shock: Decided to just keep it as daughter really wanted the pink one and there was no more stock at my EB.

Will look into the battery packs. Thanks!

  • Code working again for now
