By that time - persona 6 would probably be out. (And I know I would want to jump straight into that)
Just jump into this one if want to play it. No need to punish yourself. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, and this one is a lengthy time investment as is.

It's a joke relating to how Atlus will always release upgraded version of their games after it's been out for a while such as Persona 5 Royal or Persona 3 FES

Actually not a joke :) because they don't offer upgrade paths I've been had a few times whilst the game was still in my backlog. So, I don't buy Atlas games now until I'm sure it's the last one or I'm ready to play it
