Dry-blend powders under low-humidity conditions, then compress using a tablet press with microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) as a binder and magnesium stearate as a lubricant. Target osmolarity ~245–250 mOsm/L when reconstituted in 200 mL water, ensuring WHO-ORS compliance. Critical parameters: particle size uniformity (<250 µm), compression force (8–12 kN), and disintegration time <5 min. Store tablets in moisture-barrier blister packs to maintain stability.     Are these any good for post run re-hydration and replensihment of electrolytes? I start training for a half marathon next month so looking for something that will fit the bill?

      This will do, got me through three marathon training blocks. As people say you can make it yourself. But I use this for convenience.

      you can mix 3 simple ingredients at home if you look up recipes, sodium potassium & magnesium but i prefer buying the bulk nutrients powders they work pretty well

      I would get this, or similar product to begin with. You're already attempting to create a new habit, so you should make everything around that habit as simple and easy as possible until you have developed the core goal.

      Hydrate well a few days out from any major runs, carb up and consume easy to digest foods prior to runs and limit caffeine intake as this will dehydrate.

      Stretch. Avoid the dreaded shin splint by stretching and not over doing the running mid week (build a base).

        Thanks for the info Dealr, I've ordered one of each flavour and some ice blocks. 12 week training plan starts Monday, I will heed your advice, the toughest part will be limiting the caffeine, as an English man I just love my cuppa tea!!

      Never been at a job that buys hydralyte but many that but thorzt and sqweencher. So not sure if that is an actual measure of hydration and recovery or if it's cheaper to just throw salt, sugar and "electrolytes" in a sachet and call it a day.
