Boost Mobile: $100 Cashback on $300 290GB 12-Month Prepaid SIM @ TopCashback AU

2100

Unfortunately offer is expiring today at 11:45pm AEDT. Boost is ending the offer early and is out of TCB's control.

Excellent BF offer at $200 (after cashback). $4 cheaper than previous offer.

  • $300 SIM 290GB for new activations.
  • Includes International Calls & Texts.
  • 5G network.

  • Cashback is on the purchase of the physical SIM only. You can convert to eSIM after you have received the physical SIM. Activate the physical SIM first, insert and then convert to eSIM.
  • If you're a current Boost customer, you will need to port out into another provider (e.g. $2 Telstra SIM) and then port back into Boost. Please see the steps in my comment here.

It is recommended to use the TopCashback app, click the 'Get Cashback' pink button to the Boost website (not Boost app), use mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.
  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories, $2 SIMs.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of any gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Is this the Boost deal we're all waiting for?

    • +1

      It's a great price. I'm waiting for ~$150 but I don't think I'll get it…

    • Yes, because this plan comes with overseas calls, still.

I paid $19 too much ($226 after discount, then cash back) with the ebay deal with the afterpay discount last week.

      • But you can buy advance and keep it until your current recharge runs out in ebay deals. My recharge is valid until 03/2026 not sure what to do

        • I need to wait until the ebay SIM arrives to check the expiry date before I can pull the trigger on this, because this has to be activated in 30 days for the cash back.

    • +1

Seems good, I jumped on the eBay deal, ~25$ more but don't have to wait months for the cashback.

  • When is the end deal date please?
Still got a few more weeks on my current plan

    • But it now then activate in a few weeks

    • +3

@FrenchFrie I checked with the rep TA. Offer ends on 1st Dec 11:59pm AEDT.

This however can be changed or cancelled at any time at Boost's discretion which TCB has no control over.

      T&Cs:

SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase

      • +2

activate within 30 days make this not so useful

    • +1

@FrenchFrie Unfortunately offer is expiring today at 11:45pm AEDT. Boost is ending the offer early and is out of TCB's control.

      • Thanks for the heads up, missed on that one but it's OK 👌

        • @FrenchFrie Same $200 SIM (after cashback) offer is back, posted here.

    • +5

Correct. However I would personally pay extra for Boost (Telstra) network in this case. Personally found QoS is slightly higher than amaysim(Optus) network. Have both.

    • Optus vs Telstra

  • Activation by 02 Mar 2026 ! No deal for me because of this :(

    • +3

How much time did you want haha

    • +11

Says have to activate in 30 days

    • +3

For cashback, you need to active within 30 days from order

    • +4

02 March 2026 works for me, but for cashback, activation within the 30 days does not work for me :-(

  • +1

ordered last week still waiting for it to be posted out

  • +7

Bought it and tracking appeared after around 15 mins.
Set Chrome as my default browser (iOS).
Used the TCB app to click through to Boost.
    Used mobile data.

  • I wonder if this plan will come with the data prioritisation when Telstra launches it soon

  • +1

I keep getting an error after entering my payment details and when I click to process the order. Is anyone else having this issue? :(

    • I’m getting this error too!! Tried different browsers and everything.

      • +1

Sorry to hear. Try again on a different day. There is usually more success reported using a debit card and Passport as ID.

If you are unable to pay due to "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG" message, please try the following suggestions:

        • Use a debit card (instead of credit card).
        • Use your Passport as ID (instead of driver's licence).
        • Use a different email.
        • Type your address manually.
          (i) Type any address and choose "I can't find my address" as shown here.
(ii) Add your address manually in the "Address" section shown here. It's below "Delivery address".
(iii) Vary a little e.g. St instead of Street, Ave instead of Avenue etc.
        • Vary your name e.g. Pete instead of Peter, Bob, Rob instead of Robert etc.

If you experience any issues at the checkout page, start all over again to ensure tracking. Click the pink button at TopCashback through to Boost website again.

        All the best.

      • Did you ever get it to work?

    • Did you ever get it to work?

    • Often get this error when trying to buy from boost. Only get about 5% sucess over the years.

    • Managed to bypass this error by using a different credit card. Used TCB app, Safari, 4G/5G. Tracked within a few minutes.

  • Alas I don't need my next one for about 5 months :(

  • Any bonus data? The other plan has 320GB

    • +1

      50GB seems to be the bonus data (50GB + 240GB = 290GB total).

  • Dang! Awesome deal! Mine expires 5th Jan 2026 T_T. will it be fine to buy this now?

    • +1

      30 day activation required.

    • +1

      No

I'm in the same boat :(

      • +3

@oBTestRun00 $100 cashback offer expires on 1st Dec 11:59pm AEDT (unless Boost changes it).

$200 is a great price and may be worth buying and activating within 30 days. There are a few days left in your current plan.

        • +1

14th Feb. Hmmmm worth taking the 1.5 months hit or hold for hopefully a Jan deal 🤔

          • +1

@Tommohalby: My reply was to oBTestRun00 whose SIM expires on 5th Jan 2026.

As your SIM expires later in mid Feb, I would wait for another offer hopefully closer to the time.

            • @trixieb: Yeah mine was just to add to the discussion :) not just to you directly

  • 365gb sim seems like a better deal?

$60 discount brings it down to $305 with $85 cash back?

So essentially $20 extra for an extra 75gb?

    • +8

This SIM is more popular as it includes international calls & texts. The 365GB SIM excludes international calls & texts.

  • I just ordered the other offer last night, transaction finally went through. Can I assume I'll get cashback also on this offer too? Thanks

    • +1

You can buy this SIM card for $100 cashback.

You can buy multiple SIM cards but each SIM card has to be purchased separately for cashback. You will have separate transactions track in your earnings page.

  • -2

Can beat the costco deal, the $195 one with all cashback and executive membership getting extra discount. Totalling $195 for the 290GB 12 month expiry deal.

    • +2

I cant find the Costco deal in the Costco app. Is it instore only and which state?

  • Are you able to buy more then one (in separate transactions) and have cashback track?

    • +1

Yes. Click through TCB pink button to Boost website for each transaction separately. Mentioned here.

  • does boost have any 365 day small data plans?

  • Anyone else having issues? I managed to order one, but the second order keeps failing. Have tried two separate cards now, and just says "Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later."

    • Please try again later.

      • None of those worked, sadly. I'll have another go tomorrow!

        • You may have to try with a relative's ID. I faced the same issue with Telstra and had to use my relative's ID.

Using a debit card and passport tend to work better too.

          • +1

@trixieb: Thanks. Finally got there for the second purchase.

In the end it took all of these - different browser, wife's ID, wife's email and phone number, different visa card!

      • I had to use a debit card instead of a credit card

  • +2

"SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase."
This condition kills the deal for many of us :(

  • +1

    Bought and tracked thanks OP

  • Not bad thanks OP. Was last years $230 with $85 cashback?

  • I know it says to use chrome as default browser, etc, but can you just not purchase it through the topcashback app - it doesn’t need to go to an external browser? Checking cos I wanna make sure it comes through. Thanks :)

    • Yes I clicked through the TCB app. Tracked 15 mins after purchase for me.

    • As mentioned in OP, use the TopCashback app, click the 'Get Cashback' pink button to the Boost website (not Boost app), use mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.

  • Damn i bought the TCB deal for the $300 sim last month.

At this rate TCB have a 100% cashback soon enough.

  • Anyone know if you have an existing boost 12 month plan you can purchase this and keep your number?

    • +1

You must port out and port back in. Read the rest of the comments but basically you can buy a Telstra sim for $2 and not recharge it. I like to use an Aldimobile sim.

    • +1

      @Bunniesbargainer In the post description:

If you're a current Boost customer, you will need to port out into another provider (e.g. $2 Telstra SIM) and then port back into Boost. Please see the steps in my comment here.

With the $2 Telstra SIM card, don't need to recharge. Scroll down to the option of activating without recharging:

  • +1

Bought. But used my partner's details and card. I think i bought too many boost sims in the past and now black listed

  • How long can you hold the sim and not activate? Asking as I have a Vodafone yearly plan already.

    • +1

until the expiry date on the packet (unsure when that is) BUT for the cashback you need to activate within 30 days. If you're not going to do that then this deal is not worth it, wait for another one

  • +3

FYI, if you are like me, and your last Boost 12 month plan ran out, and you need a little CREDIT for a few days while waiting for a new deal like this, and you need to PORT away from Boost and back again…

Telstra have a deal on, where the $13/7 day pre-paid sim is on sale for only $1 ! It also has bonus data (5gb total), unlimited calls and texts etc, and you can choose e-SIM too…

So I was ported over, and had credit again for the week, in only like 15 mins or so! No trips to officeworks/vodafone/etc. for physical sim.

I hope this helps others too!

    https://www.telstra.com.au/mobile-phones/prepaid-mobiles/off…

    (offer ends 1st Dec too.)

Now just to choose between this deal and the $169/200gb/12 months/15% TopCashBack Vodafone one…
(Telstra is pretty 'good' everywhere I travel… just not great sometimes at my own house (and I work from home too sadly )-; , so not sure whether to give Vodafone another try or not) …

And then hope either one's physical sim arrives in under 7 days…

    • +1

Thanks for the $1 Telstra SIM online recommendation.

I didn't mention the $1 Telstra SIM online offer for fear that it may increase the risk of getting the dreaded "Something Went Wrong" error message mentioned here. Unfortunately Telstra &/or Boost online may randomly block purchases with this error message. It may prevent buying this awesome TCB/Boost SIM offer. The risk may increase with each Telstra or Boost purchase online. It could happen to anyone including new, existing or previous Telstra or Boost customers on both Boost and Telstra websites. It's a temporary and random block and unrelated to using the cashback sites.

I would suggest getting the physical $2 Telstra SIM to minimise the risk of "Something Went Wrong or SWW" error message. Speaking from recent "SWW" experience as a long time Telstra customer and occasional Boost customer.

Don't worry, you are most likely fine. I've posted several of these Boost SIM online offers and have seen too many "SWW" complaints, hence the warning.

I prefer Telstra to Vodafone and have tried Vodafone briefly. Telstra seems more reliable with wider coverage. It would vary with your locations.

      • +1

I've been blacklisted (I'm pretty sure) by boost and have just successfully bought this $1 telstra sim. No errors. So this would mean the boost and telstra checkout portals (although looking the same) run through different checks. Good to know now.

        • +1

Yep tried 3 times, i ported to felix no cigar. Will have to try porting to telstra.

I dont think its a case of blacklisting, just incompetence.

          • +1

@poxy001: @kickling Great to hear you can buy from Telstra. I've encountered both "SWW" with Telstra and Boost websites. It's a random and temporary block.

A Telstra employee commented in my previous Boost post:

I would encourage people encountering "Something Went Wrong" error messages to look up eCommerce Velocity Rules. Might be something worth adding to the troubleshooting.

            Google:

Ecommerce velocity rules are a fraud prevention measure that monitors the rate of transactions from a single user, IP address, or card within a specific timeframe to detect and block suspicious activity.

  • Hi All, Can someone please help with these 2 questions…

    1. How long does it take to get the cash back with TCB?
      (previously only a Cashrewards user).

    2. How does the referral system work? Can we swap codes/links here on OZB comments/messages?

I'd like to make use of that too, even just as referee seems good ($30).

    TIA! Cheers!

    • +1
      1. How long does it take to get the cash back with TCB? (previously only a Cashrewards user).

Estimated payable is up to 15 weeks for Boost SIM card. Cashback for Boost is usually paid in about 3 months. The estimated payable time frame varies between retailers. 3 months seems to be the average for most retailers. Some retailers may pay quicker or later than 3 months.

The TopCashback rep is tightarse (TA) whom you may know. TA used to work at Cashrewards (before the closure). The best customer service I've come across is from TA. If any issues, TA is very quick to respond and fix.

      1. How does the referral system work? Can we swap codes/links here on OZB comments/messages?

OzBargain recommends you use the random referral link underneath the post description (above the comments section). Soliciting for referrals is not allowed.

  • +1

My $60 cashback still not tracked which was purchased on 21/10/2025.

  • +2

Mine didn't track, I had to submit a claim. Now it's a whole thing I need to think about for the next few months.
Same with a Groupon deal I bought, also didn't track with TCB, had to submit a claim, currently waiting.

  • +1

My plan with Optus expires today. How long will Boost sim take to arrive at my place?

    • +1

      Coupla daaaayz

      • +1

        Beeeaaaaaauuuuuddddiffuull!!!

        • +1

Ha, that's the one. I don't think the youngsters would have picked it ;).

  • Why am i struggling so much with this. I have tried 3 different browsers, even my mobile topcashback app, with 3 different email addresses, 3 different payment cards and 2 different names. And I still can’t make a purchase! Does anyone know why? Even 2 different mobile numbers! Super frustrating

    • Sorry to hear. Try a different day. It's Telstra/Boost website randomly blocking transactions.

Try using a debit card, passport as ID and manually entering your address as per my reply here. You may also need to use a relative's ID.

      All the best.

  • So I have ordered the boost sim inner my name and the mobile that I want to transfer is under wife’s name.

So if I transfer the boost sim to wife’s name before activation will it effect cashback. Thanks

    • It doesn't affect cashback. You can buy in your name and activate under your wife's name.

      The main term is:

SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase

      • +1

        Sure thanks

  • +1

Great. Got it through in 3rd try - manual address added, but also switched to 5g router from 4g phone (using passport and debut from 2nd try)

  • If you contat customer service and they activate it via phone will that still be tracked for the cashback?

    • +1

That wiil not work. Must be tracked via Web.

    • @Tekuza Sorry your question is a bit confusing. The tracking for cashback is when you purchase via TopCashback online, click to Boost website. You cannot contact customer service for the purchase.

When you receive the SIM, you have to activate within 30 days of purchase for cashback. It doesn't matter how you activate the SIM ie yourself online, via the phone or chat with Boost. If this is what you're asking, you can activate the SIM via the phone with customer service. It won't affect cashback but your order should have already tracked when you purchased.

      • +1

Thanks @trixieb, yes I mant to say if you receive the SIM, can you activate it via phone instead of web.

  • I'm currently overseas and shouldn't use a VPN, will I be eligible for the cashback?

    • Not sure but you can try. VPN may block tracking. Boost has changed the end date and offer ends tonight 11:45pm AEDT.

  • +1

Update: Unfortunately offer is expiring today at 11:45pm AEDT. Boost is ending the offer early and is out of TCB's control.
