Seems like a good price for a 9070xt right now.
not much time left on it though.

How much of an upgrade is this over an RTX 3080 11GB card at 1440p?
TechPowerUp has the 9070 at 26% and the XT at 41%
Still not enough to upgrade though IMO
I linked to benchmarks by Hardware Unboxed (affiliated with TechPowerUp) showing the 9070XT vs the 3080 in 1440p.
It's literally exactly what Viospeed asked for, actual data showing benchmarks from one of the most reputable sources comparing those GPUs at 1440p.
It's 26% in 1440p in the 9070 XT favor using the expanded data from your source.
@studentl0an: yeah tests from 8 months ago when the card launched. Performance changes quite a bit after a long period after launch
@Pekish: Then show it? Lets say at best the 9070XT has 10% increase in a few games (which would increase to be ~30% better than 3080 at best if only testing those games), but that's not the 41% quoted at 1440p.
@studentl0an: 71% of a base 9070 XT on average at 1440p (i.e. 9070 XT is +41%): https://www.techpowerup.com/review/sapphire-radeon-rx-9070-x…
79% of a base 9070 on average at 1440p (i.e. 9070 XT is +27%): https://www.techpowerup.com/review/powercolor-radeon-rx-9070…
And we're still agreed that it isn't worth the upgrade.
@boozed: That chart/graph was posted around same time as the Hardware Unboxed review video.
I'm much more inclined to view Hardware Unboxed video reviews as more authoritative source than their affiliated website.
I guess you'd have to ask Steve as to why they are not matching up though.
Just wait for next gen.. 3080 is still a decent card… Paying an extra $1k for 25% improvement… Hmmz… If thing starts to slow down you can just jack down the quality a little…
With the way Ram prices going, maybe looking ate more expensive GPU's than usual next gen
Chance these will drop further for Cyber Monday?
I hope so. Hoping for them to get closer or below $900 but it may be a push.
I got a 2070S atm, is it worth upgrading to this if all I mainly play is LoL?
You will get a significant FPS improvement but depending on resolution it might be overkill.
same price at umart, just bought mine from them over the weekend.
Decided to buy this early on the 1st December but still not shipped. This is my first time using Centrecom, are they usually slow?
I also purchased from Centrecom on Monday the 1st (although it was a Powercolor Hellhound), and it's only just been handed over to AusPost today, Saturday 6th.
So it appears they are just slow.
I've ordered from them in the past, and they were much quicker, so I'm guessing they're just busy in the lead up to Christmas.
They seem to extend the finish time of the 'sale' each day or so.
