Expires today. I found them to be very hit and miss. But mostly miss. Last two packs have all had tough, near inedible meat.

Maybe some Kiwi birds accidentally got mixed in?

I saw these on Friday and picked up a pack and cooked them for lunch for the kids and they went down well.
So I picked up another pack yesterday and we had them for dinner. Not a single complaint from the kids or me. Pretty decent bits of chicken and quite tasty. Will buy again at this price.

    • The purple bag is usually consistent for me as they are basically big chicken nuggets (chicken paste pressed into a burger shape).

The red bag used to be great but like you say, mostly miss with most of the pieces having hard almost crunchy parts on the chicken. It's called woody chicken breast and comes from the speed the chicken grows where the breast muscle growth outpaces the circulatory system growth and the breast doesn't get enough oxygen.

    • Is it krispy like kfc zinger patty

  • i saw $10 per kilo at Aldi some other brand

    • The Aldi ones are not great in my experience. Take Outs are very nice, whilst I havent had these crispy chicken, I've had the southern fried tenders and the Korean chicken pieces.

        Aldi ones are the bomb

      • I've found the Tegel to be very hit and miss as someone else commented. ALDI are consistent and they are cheaper than the half price on the Tegel range.

  • Bought 5 packs of these over the last week aha.

They’re reconstituted meat, so nowhere near as nice as the tenders. But with six patties for $6, it’s hard to complain. A good easy meal for days when you don’t want to cook.

    • Or just buy real chicken breast for $9kg?

  • Never tried these, can they be air fried?

Same, got 15% off gift cards just in time and went past the chicken freezer but didn't look.
We prefer the orange pack grilled ones because we use crusty rolls.

The Aldi Louisiana style, are great, 100% Australian chicken breast, very crunchy, tasty coating.

  • Still $6.50 today with new specials cycle.

Not at my Cole’s they aren’t

      • I should have said online in Qld.

        • Looks like the tenders are on sale now but they weren’t marked up this morning.
