      As a both gen1 and gen2 user, if you buy a new one go with gen2.

      The battery power are doubled. For example, just uses as bluetooth headset, gen1 is about 4 hours and gen2 is about 8 hours (almost full day!)
      But this is given turn off the "Hey Meta" AI trigger to save some power. You can still trigger AI via shortcut.

      My wife loves hers because it allows her to take photos of our son much easier and they are basically headphones so she can use them in summer and not carry her earbuds. Only negative is indoor use is a bit shit with the outdoor lenses and vice versa. Transitions kind of help but not great either. Really wish they came with easily swappable lenses.

      They're not the Ray Ban metas, they are the displays and they are WAY bigger.
