  • Cant seem to add any sizes to cart - maybe sold out? Maybe because im in VIC

    • Working for me in VIC

      • thanks for some reason on browser they were showing no stock for every size and style and could only add to wishlist. i tried on mobile and it worked fine though. weird!

  • Thanks OP. Grabbed some black shorts

  • Worked for me just now.

    Thanks

    11.98 delivery for 2 pants?

    • +3

I noticed shipping is per style. I bought 2 of the same style and shipping was only $5.99

  • Good find. Ordered some longs

  • I think $5.99 delivery is metro areas only - for me it comes up as $12.95 delivery for 1 pair, more for multiple pairs and even more for multiple colours ($39 delivery for one of each colour which is wild)

    • Hmm I’m in vic and not metro still got $5.99 delivery.

      • YMMV I guess, does appear to be location specific to some extent though

  • +1

Jesus…..it wants $10.99 per item for delivery to me.

  • Hows the sizing on these?
Couldnt find anything recent but im uusually a 32" waist but i was reading online Timberland size their pants 2 inches larger, albeit its a reddit post from 12yrs ago:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/s/y6312S942E

  • Cheers man got 5 pairs of shorts for $55.99 delivered and had $10 on my rewards card so got it down to $45.99

  • $32 for delivery to Perth for 3 pairs

  • Nice, just ordered one and paid with Wish gift card for more discounts.

  • +1

Shipping cost depends on location so $5.99 in title needs corrected. $12.95 for me kills the deal

  • $10 delivery for one pair in perth but still a good deal, got one thanks

  • where they shipping from for such wild pricing for WA ?

  • +1

Anyone know what the length is like on these guys? I'm 190cm and usually size 36, but often 36 are too short in the leg!
    Thanks

  • Are these any good?

    • It'll cost you $10 + shipping to find out.

Or check the reviews on other websites.

      • +1

        Paid $5.90 for 2 pants.

      • +1

        Definition of pointless comment!

  • Shipping cost really varies a lot.

Same postcode as my local store is expensive and per item, 10 mins away is per style and much cheaper.

  • I tried my luck. Buying 6 to get the topcashback 20% off was $20 shipping to sort of remote area… only $4 more shipping than for 5.

    • +1

Nice. I completely missed the Topcashback :(

    • Does it need to be minimum $50 excluding shipping?
      Would the following be eligible?
      Item subtotal (4 items) $40.00
      Delivery $11.98
      Total (Including GST) $51.98

      • from the topcashback site:
How much cashback can you get?
        BIG W Market Cashback
        Spend between $50 - 500
        Upsized
        Ends in 3 Hours
        20%

        • Update: My cashback was rejected.

I can get 24 pairs for $5.99 delivery (Metro Melbourne). Savings are $958.80. Total is $245.99. TopCashBack makes that $196.79 including postage, which works out at $8.20 per pair (delivered), while earning 720 points. If I sell 23 pairs at $9 each, I'll get $207, which translates to a profit of $10.21, a pair of pants and 720 rewards points. Might be worth the effort, but I don't really need any of these things. Just thinking out loud. Maybe it helps someone resourceful and not lazy.

    • That's impressive dedication to the dollar!
I bought 6 to hit the big cashback threshold.. thinking jeez, I hope this size fits my arse, but aware of the small reality that the sizing might not be good.

I'm very impressed that you are looking at buying 24 pairs! I guess they could be a big seller at the markets.

      • +1

Thanks, but I'm terrible at selling. I have so much stuff to put on eBay, but I can't even get to the taking photos stage, let alone fathoming postage. But I like the idea of a market stall. I might try it one day.

And yeah, with the pants, god knows about the sizing. I've generally fit into 38-40" stuff, but when I measure myself it's at least 44". Dickies was a total disaster. I guess I could find a place selling these pants and try a pair on, but then I'd have to start calculating for fuel and time etc., if I'm going to go full OzB.

I don't think I'm going to buy any of these pants, but I just had to check out the postage thing for myself - I wasn't going to swallow the 'postage per pair' idea whole.

        • I think it sounds like a wise decision not to take the chance to get overloaded with them, but if you have any use for tough pants (I have no idea, but all the blub suggests they are strongly made) …. you could still get a bargain buying 2 pair.

I'm a buyer, not a seller…. have sold very little in my life (the only motor vehicle I've bought new- a great motorbike) was sold to become my first house deposit) , but buying bargains in the first place might be a factor in this. A few years ago I realised it was time to slow down acquisitions (even if free) that my foreseeable chance of using was remote.. though I still sometimes use something I've hung onto for decades.

Now… I have a self imposed strong "will I use this bargain" filter that auto kicks in… black friday purchases have only been 6 pants, 40kg of 25% cashback dogfood, and about 180 cans of assorted unusually cheap grog that should be significant savings over about 12 months of consumption. hic

          • @rooster7777: Nice work! Yeah, I'm on a decluttering trajectory myself, but I do try to keep my eye on various markets. Lots of 'saving' on Carsales to keep me motivated and learning, with the help of ChatGPT, but our convos often end up revolving around preventative maintenance on my econobox. It wasn't so long ago, however, that $15 boxes of 40 Mee Goreng got me thru' to the next paycheck… and my 5 litre 'jerry cans' of organic peppermint shampoo and conditioner are still going strong after a good couple of years. But then I go and spoil it all by doing something stupid like ordering UberEats daily. And not quitting tobacco. On the plus side (arguably), no more booze or ganja at home, while barely leaving it, except for work, etc. Thanks for being my social life for the weekend and have a nice week :)

        • I think you should stop buying things altogether until you sort out your current excess

  • +1

These are tiny sizes! They were in TK maxx, I’m typically a size 30 inch waist in Superdry which are small sized and need a belt - tbh I’m probably a 29 inch waist. I tried a size small 30-32 inch in these timberland pro and they were really small and I couldn’t even button the waist.

    • Was going to ask about sizing as the model they used looks very uncomfortable in pants that don't fit him properly.

    • yep I got a xl in the shorts because I saw them on clearance made the mistake of not trying them on first got home and they were so tight I could hardly zip them up lol

  • Seperate delivery charges if we want shorts and pants. Must be from different sellers. Quite annoying, want one of each

    • even for different sizes of the same colour pants, very annoying indeed

  • got 2 hope they're good

  • Shipping is crazy. $13 for a pair of $10 shorts to metro Awa

  • Grabbed 2 in different sizes, hopefully one of them fits. Thanks OP!

  • Just got my pants in my usual waist size, way too small. A shame as they are well made and ideal for my work.

  • Just received and disappointed. I ordered Man size 30, they sent me woman size 40.

    • I also ordered 30 and got 40.

    • +1

Are you sure it's women's? The W could stand for waist size

  • Just got mine. These are for extremely thin people.

Any tighter and they'd be lycra leggings. They're okay for me because I am skinny, but for any normal person they'd probably be too tight. Damn good thing they've got stretchy parts otherwise I wouldn't be able to lift my legs.

    • They are work pants. Tight fitting helps avoid them catching on things

      • Lorna Jane should start a workwear collection then.

  • Shorts also too small. Guess these will be going to eBay.

    • Just got the shorts in a separate delivery, separate day. Now I understand why shipping was based on model rather than order.

But yeah, the shorts are tiny. They are like AFL shorts or Daisy Dukes for Tradies.

  • +2

ordered 3 colours in size 30 and received 1 navy, 2 black and one of them is size 40…lol

  • Ordered two size 34 pants. These are smaller than a pair of size 32 skinny jeans that still fit me.

    • I had the same thing. Ended up giving them to a family member.

  • +1

Mine finally rocked up, wrong size, wrong colour.
Ordered size 40 in black, received size 30 in khaki!

    • Same thing happened here. Contacted Big W but no reply yet…

    • Any chance you're in melb and want to swap? They sent me black 40 instead of 30 khaki. Support already told me to keep the mistake and they would sent another out.

      • Same happened to me, black 40 instead of 30 khaki. Support also told me to keep the mistake and they would sent another out.

  • Great quality. Thanks op

  • Would you recommend we go 1 or 2 sizes up from our normal size?

    • My regular size is fine for me (30).

  • Did anyone have any luck returning these given the sizing issues everyone seems to be having?

    • Not returned yet, but about to go through the process for exchange. Could anyone comment on suitable sizing - 1 or 2 sizes up?

      • Did they say you could exchange?

      • +1

I'd say at least two sizes up if not more. Do they offer exchange? I suppose we would have to pay another shipping fee + pay to return so may not be worth it..

        • I am waiting to hear back and will advise when I do

    • Not sure I can be bothered returning, may just try and sell them on eBay

    • +1

I tried returning mine the day after receiving them, for exchange or refund, through the big w orders section in my account. Customer support immediately decline any return or exchange quoting 'no exchanges on sale items' in the marketplace returns policy. I've since lodged a charge back and office of fair trading claim. I'm not sure how big w expects no exchanges on clothing items to be legal.

      • Interesting, I will keep you updated on how things go with my return request

        • I was able to return mine for a refund
