  • Does the M3 over A16 warrant a $250 increase?

    • Yes

    • I'm wanting to know as well. We just bought the A16 the other day.

      • I just bought m2 yesterday

    • 100%, if you're doing any type of work on the ipad
One is a Low power laptop chip
The other is a phone chip

      • I ask because, it’s mostly going to used as media consumption and gaming.

        • Wise decision. You’ve saved some money there. Avoid the fomo

        • Media consumption won’t really matter

Depending on the game, Gaming might make sense to go m3…

        • iPad Air doesn't make much difference for media consumption but the iPad Pro does as it's OLED. It's also a lot more expensive.

    • I’d say if your usage is mainly media consumption, calls, kids games then no.
If your work involves photoshop, video editing, serious gaming or need to use 3d printing software then yes.

    • The laminated screen with P3 colour is also a nice touch. iPads are something people tend to keep for a loooong time. A bit of CPU overkill can't hurt.

Look at older iPad Pro. The 2018 iPad Pro still holds up today because of how incredibly powerful the A12X was. It's 7 years old.

      • agreed, have the m1 ipad pro, and other than a stuffed battery, the thing is still a beast.

    • i got the 256GB version this week. From what I read, the M3 warrants it

    • For basic use the A16 should be fine, however the M3 is more powerful and will have better longevity if you plan to keep it for a number of years.

The recent iPad OS26 was making "M-series" chips chug, and I can’t imagine A16 would have run well based on that.

  • Perfect timing. Thanks!

  • Costco $719 if anyone misses out.

    • OW won't price beat Costco. and it is OOS online I think

  • man waiting on a good deal for the Ipad Air 13 inch

    • i guess we waiting till boxing day now

    • $1059 @ Costco
      $1097 @ Amazon / Officeworks

Not as low as I hoped but lower than RRP

  • Can you use multiple ultimate gift cards to pay for a price beat item at Officeworks?

    • Yes I have just used it

  • Thanks op, got OW to price beat :)

  • OW same price now

    • yeah, I think they started price matching amazon
