I've had 3 of these for close to 10 years now, they're pretty damn good and an absolute no brainer at this price. The only questionable thing is the country of origin. Peace out.

      Mexico ? Website doesn't say

If we don't boycott companies making products in a country that is committing large scale organised genocide and ethnic cleansing with the world watching, and governed by someone who is an indicted war criminal, we really have no sense of right and wrong. If it makes me an antisemite to not agree Israel should have and does an exemption from the rules of civilised behaviour, so be it.

      • +17

Made in the illegally occupied parts of Palestine. No thanks.

        • -1

If it's made in the West bank, it's probably made by Palestinians, are you boycotting them?

      • It's Sunday.

      • +43

Do you also boycott Chinese goods or do you have a moral compass with special settings?

        • -2

          moral compass

          Pointed downward south.

        • +18

How about the US whilst we are at it lol.

        • +1

He's already told us what it means to have a sense of right and wrong - now you are saying there was propaganda behind this? Blimey!

          • -3

@tik tok: "any viewpoint that deviates from my prejudice is propaganda" - 2025

        • +1

China doesn't involve Jews and Islamic holy sites, so they're not interested in how China treats Uyghurs.

          • +29

@Tyrx: We don't support China with weapons and military hardware, and out influence over China is limited, as is our ability to effect how they treat their own citizens.

Israel on the other hand is a relatively small country that without the backing of the US, whom they disproportionately influence via lobby groups that can be fairly categorised as foreign interference, wouldn't have lasted a few years. As the US is an ally of ours and our govt is complicit to some degree with maintaining support for a country that's broken almost every rule of international law, then yes absolutely a boycott is not just appropriate but a requirement of our and many other nations duty to comply with our international responsibilities

            • -1

@Jackson: Don’t we export every single mineral they need to create military hardware, weapons, drones, bullets etc

We sit back and let them dig up Australian earth so that we can be lazy, complacent and rich.

            • @Jackson: The US loves Israel because they are a ticket to controlling all the (profanity) up countries next to them. They arent whispering spells into US ears. US uses them.

        • +7

One could argue it’s ridiculously harder to boycott Chinese goods than Israeli given their market penetration in so many areas?

Or maybe it’s because the Israeli actions are so obvious and present across the media ? When China is busy rounding up Uyghurs they’re doing it quietly by comparison. They’re not levelling the homes and businesses of millions. There isn’t footage of dead and starving kids in the international media.

Not saying one is worse than the other (Or Sudan etc) just trying to provide perspective on why people choose one cause over another.

            • +6

@Ahbal: Maybe ? Seems a far fetched thing to call out. Neither Iran nor China have had real success in attempts to manipulate story narratives Previously via social media and bot farming etc that I’m aware of.

I think it’s more that even within Israel, the actions aren’t universally supported, and despite the suppression of the press in Israel and Palestine it’s still a lot easier to get actual footage and international press than in proper suppressive countries like China and Iran. Or even Russia.

            • +7

@Ahbal: And yet there's so much video evidence from so many different sources. Social media made it easier access. Suggesting media control. But lets not ponder that conspiracy.

          • +11

            @boirganz:

There isn’t footage of dead and starving kids in the international media.

And this despite the fact that Israel has deliberately targets and killed hundreds of journalists, bars journalists from the region so that their crimes can't be reported, barred international aid organisations from operating there (again so there are no western voices to bear witness to their crimes) and has banned their own media from reporting on the subject.

So yes, absolutely a boycott of goods economically is not just warranted but an obligation for the country, one that has this far been ignored and therefore relies on us

        • +4

I don't buy peeled garlic from China for exactly this reason. Convenience shouldn't be cheaper than a moral compass.

        • -3

Their moral compass was made in china.

          Targeted Boycotts vs. Non-Targeted Boycotts

People of conscience around the world are rightfully shattered, enraged, and sometimes feeling powerless about Israel’s Gaza genocide, armed, funded, and shielded from accountability by the colonial West, led by the US. Many feel compelled to boycott all products and services of companies tied in any way to Israel. The question is how to make boycotts most effective and impactful in holding corporations accountable for their complicity in the suffering of Palestinians.

The BDS movement uses the historically successful method of targeted boycotts, inspired by the South African anti-apartheid movement, the US Civil Rights movement, and the Indian and Irish anti-colonial struggles, among others worldwide.

We must strategically focus on a relatively smaller number of carefully selected companies and products for maximum impact. We need to target companies that play a clear and direct role in Israel’s crimes against Palestinians, as well as in violating the rights of other peoples/communities, and where there is real potential for winning. This is how the BDS movement has successfully forced companies like G4S, Veolia, Orange, Puma, and Pillsbury, among others, to end their complicity in Israel’s grave human rights violations and crimes.

Do you only take action against storage boxes? Clearly you do not apply the same principals for the computer/mobile phone/tablet you are using to write this nonsense.

      • +2

100%. As the popular saying goes "If you still don't think Israel is evil, it's because you are, too"

      • +1

Just going to point out that Aboriginal youth are incarcerated at ten times the rate of the national average.

        • -1

Is it because aboriginal youth are committing more crime or cops are just picking them up from streets, minding their own business, and throwing in the prison?

          • -2

@Bargainian: Don't let the truth get in the way.
It's ok, at the rate this country is going, all indigenous will be millionaires due to the handouts and repeated "Sorry" days and dollars that they won't have to commit any more crimes

        • +3

They should try not breaking the law

      • -1

China has estimated to have killed / imprisoned 1 million or more Uyghurs.

Israel has barely even hit the 100k mark, even when including hamas numbers. They havent even hit the 9 to 1 civilian to terrorist ratio which is widely accepted as the standard for that type of urban counter - terrorist warfare.

By your definition of "genocide", the liberation of mosul was also a genocide (hint, it had a higher civilian to terrorist casualty ratio than the gaza conflict).

          • +3

            @Bargainian: @Ahbal, @dealhunter52
Op mentioned nothing about China; maybe they are boycotting Chinese products as well. It's easy to spot the China haters; you guys wouldn't waste any chance shitting on China, because if you were really moral, you would condemn both China and Israel, you would also equally condemn/boycott, USA, India, Japan (just to name a few), who have done despicable things without feeling the remorse. Are you two by any chance afflicted with falungong?

        • +6

source that proves China actually hit the 1m mark? ? Don't tell me it was BBC or CNN - both are just too reliable.

        • -1

You are liar puppet and nothing more.

        • China has estimated to have killed / imprisoned 1 million or more Uyghurs.

Israel has barely even hit the 100k mark,

Why does this reek of "that's not a genocide, this is a genocide!" Croc Dundee vibes?

      • +4

I'm going to buy three of these to support the good guys. You're on the wrong side of history.

        • Wait I’m confused. Who are the goodies and who are the baddies ?

      • Another terrorist supporter. Remember October 7!

      • Finish the job Israel!

    • +16

Thanks so much for calling out the dubious country of origin. Didn't know and will avoid

        • -1

I didn't know so many wokies were on this forum, weird.

          Why? We like deals too!

    • -1

You really should have just kept that information to yourself, it's not relevant to anything and you just caused a bunch of low IQ, uneducated, super virtuous people to avoid getting a sweet deal.

      • +15

Ah yes, people being critical of genocide and war criminals inherently means those people must be "low IQ" and "uneducated"!
        The absolute irony..

        • +2

Yeah hamas did commit genocide it's true, they broadcast it live.

          • +11

@Bdawg: I'm yet to find credible evidence on a single rape or beheaded children or babies in the oven that were allegedly broadcasted live that were parroted by CNN (and other media) on day 2 - all been debunked later as propaganda by credible outlets. If you have any of these by Hamas from Oct 7 you can point me to, that would be awesome find for history books.

            • -1

@MKBHD: Search for Hamas 45 minute video of footage they shot of their own war crimes.

              • @Enterz: I am not denying they are terrorists. I just want to see the live video (of evidence of) as it was propagandized later as beheading, rape, and oven. I'll search and get back to you.

                • @MKBHD: If you accept they are terrorists motivated to kill by hatred of jews not sure why you think rape is a bridge too far for them.

                  • +1

@Enterz: I don’t think many level headed people would argue that the Hamas terrorists DONT live with hatred of the Israelis and acted that out over and over and then most brutally on that day.

The thing the international community had and has a problem with was the level of the response , and the unnecessary suffering of innocents and destruction it’s caused.

Hamas wants to wipe out Israel; and a few in the Israeli leadership and military want to wipe out Palestine - but they have the means to do so and are basically enacting that.

It’s levels of (profanity) up all around.

                    • -1

@boirganz: Hamas sacrificed its own citizens for two years because it is fighting a propaganda war and not a conventional war. You'd have to say they won the propaganda war with that strategy.

They could have surrendered at any time to stop the killings. But the deaths of their own people was their entire plan.

                      • @Enterz: Like everything there is some truth in that.
But objectively, some in the Israeli government like the very corrupt Netanyahu don’t give a shit because they just want the Palestinians gone from land for various reasons (religious craziness, corrupt self interest etc) and will do whatever to clear them out and (profanity) the consequences. Same sort of attitude Trump has, or Putin has towards Ukraine, or China towards Taiwan.

Israel had an opportunity to exercise restraint and take the higher road, but instead they got down in the mud and wrestled with pigs and many more thousands dead and millions of homes later here we are. Terrorism will grow stronger amongst the repressed, who will in turn commit atrocities again, which will in turn create heavy-handed responses and the cycle continues.

                        • @boirganz: Some truth to that too, although I don't think we, or the US, would have taken the high road had October 7 happened to us.

          • @Bdawg: Boycotting Israel doesn't mean we support Hamas.

            • -1

@Nillionaire: yeah it does. Might as well send them a donation

              • @Enterz: Hamas is a problem, Israel's current administration is not the solution.

      • -1

You are not allowed to have fun in Oz anymore. :(

        • -1

Someone correcting misinformation kills the fun for you? Oh sweetie..shall I put on some Ms Rachel for you?

          • +2

@MKBHD: I don't know any Rachel, but I do know Karen that I can spot a mile away.

I'm contemplating for 2nd box, whaddaya think?

            • -2

@Yummy: Its ok to confuse a wokie from a Karen when one is highly "X" informed.

Go ahead, I purchased 3 so I can give them 3 x genuine and verified 1 start reviews for only supplying 2 wheels 👌🏼

      • +6

Why should he have kept it to himself? Most of the time we know the origin of the brands posted to OzBargain, most of us didn't about this one so he rightfully notified those who care.

      • +4

Typical zionist. So afraid of free speech.

  • +6

I’ve got an older keter, similar size. I didn’t really hold my breath on the uv stability in full sun but it’s held up actually quite well against two (now heading to third) qld summer. Seats 90kg pretty reliably and keeps the kids pool toys and other miscellaneous brick a brack dry. Tempted to buy another one at this price for more storage outside.

    • +2

Any holes or gaps? Don't want it to become a spider nest.

      • +1

Not that I could see on my one , it had snapped together quite well. Can’t say for this one. Even if it did nothing a bit of fine mesh couldn’t fix (as a bit of ventilation prob doesn’t hurt)

  • +11

Onepass - This order is not eligible for free delivery, items in your cart exceed parcel size.

I wonder who could possibly be the target market for this… /s

    • You could still keep towels in it?

    • Would you like a box for your shed, please?

    • How do organise the stuff in your shed?

    • +1

I assume you are saying this on ozb because you think the shed is better value.
well the box is way smaller then a shed, so people probably looking at it for different reasons.

also a shed is bigger, but also much more expensive. people on ozb like to see low prices.

edit also why did your comment get hidden after I commented.

    • How much for your shed?

  • +4

Thanks OP, bought one. No idea what I'll do with it, but will figure that out later.

    • +1

      This is the way! :)

    • +5

I'm going to take mine to work and use it to start debates and/or flamewars over country of origin politics.

    • Use as Xmas packing box for a PS3 or toilet paper. Whatever your needs are.

  • -1

Can you sit on it? I want to use it as a shoe storage?

    • Apparently yes, once assembled - as long as you’re not too fat.
