Mobile Plan with Smartwatch Addon?

What's a good deal here? I'm currently used to 365 day expiry plans from Boost and use around 200gb for the year but I want a smartwatch addon esim but Boost does not support.

  • Boost does not support

    Why not?

Boost doesn't currently support the use of cellular Smartwatches with your existing number, including Apple watches and Samsung Galaxy watches.
However we are working on it as we know its something our customers are interested in.

      • However we are working on it

It can't be that hard… They've been working on it for years now…

Surely somebody can work it ou?

    • Why don't you ask them?

  • Tangerine's watch add-on is an extra $10/month on all their plans (except their lowest 4G plan).

    • Saying its available on all their plans, and then mentioning in brackets that it is not is somewhat false advertising.

More accurate would be to say they offer it on, "most of the plans", Or even more accurately, "on their more expensive plans".

  • Just get a set Samsung phone and watch and you can add any cheap prepaid number on the watch (almost).

    • Can you expand on this please?

      • Samsung phone has the ability to add esim to Samsung watch through a developer feature on the wearable app. You must have at least one esim already added on the phone and use it as the dummy for the next step where you scan the qr code of the new esim and send it to the watch.
previous users reported you can do that with non galaxy Android phone but the watch turn off its sim if it detects there are 2 different number across the system. But I have no issue with galaxy phone and watch combo.
And the new esim must be added via qr code so it will eliminate certain cheap providers such as amaysim.

  • I would ask, how ofter are you without your phone? I have rarely have my phone that far away from me it doesn't stay connected to BT.

    • It's good for runners who don't want to have a phone bouncing on a belt or vest

      • The microphone and volume are horrible. I have tried numerous times to have a conversion on this and the caller always has issues with the quality of the call. I put this in the gimmick category, it does work but not that well

    • If you work from home and go on run during the day , it may not be a bad idea to have this as it will ensure you do not miss any "important" calls
