  • It shows up in my yello, however I am currently an origin customer so I can't claim it :(

    • If you have a partner or another person in your household, you can always signup under their name. However, do check the pricing under the offer plan as it could be different to your current plan.

      • Would this work if I sign my partner up for electricity but the gas at the same household still remains with me..? Also can you just sign the partner up without cancelling current account first? Will they assume my account will auto stop if partner signs up for the same address?

  • stay for 6 months. T&Cs apply.

    Probably not worth?

    • You can always take the first month credit and move away.. you still get half of it.

    Plus tier is $250.

  • Can anyone please confirm if the credit will apply go 1st month bill or to the 2nd month bill?

    • I signed up and was transferred to origin on the 29th of the month and received a bill for 2 days as Origin does calendar month billing. My next month bill showed that the credit was applied on the 4th, so 6 days from transfer. Not sure if that helps.

    Origin offering $600
Signup by 7 dec stay until 30 jan
    How bad are their rates?

      • That is a business offer thought.. not sure about other states but in SA you have to have a business tarrif to be able to go on a business plan.

In SA, Origin's rates are similar to AGL's, though they are about 10% more than the cheapest available offer.

        • Thanks

  • I’m curious — if I already have a gas account with Origin, would I still be considered a new customer when signing up for this electricity offer?

  • so i'm on the gold but bascially its $150 upon sign up and then $150 in the 6th month.
I joined in October and was thinking to move to monthly billing but good i left it to quarterly billing because i think i got the $150 after 4 weeks and then i got the $75 gov rebate.

As I have solar, when it came to my Dec bill, i had $80 credit so then when Jan comes around i'll get the extra $75.
My plan is that if summer will be sunny, i should be able to ride out the $155 i have in credit until my 6th month (march) where i'll get the last $150 credit as per this deal.

Hoping it will last until June/July but depends on the weather as heading to winter and then see what companies are going to offer especially with this free 11-2pm energy usage

  • I think staying for 2 months makes sene here? I am confused if i stay for 1 or 2 months to get the 150 credit. Is that applied on the 1st month bill or 2nd month?

    • I think I got it. The 1st month $150 is applied on a full month.

  • Can I use Origin Energy Referrals alongside this offer?

  • This is just a FYI:

    • I used the second link from OP. I hear one might have been able to use the first link and get more.
    • I emailed Origin later and requested to add the referral. They said they will do so. It is extra $50.
    • I hear if you stay for 30 days, you get $150 credit.

I play to stay for 2 months. And then probably move.

Yes, credit of 50% after 30 days.. their billing cycle is aligned with calendar month, so if you sign up today, the credit will be on second bill. However, you can live track the credit from the app and leave as soon as credit applied.
