My one has the not rare issue of the screen not turning on/NO OSD but is detectable, this monitor should have been recalled. From what I have read people go through replacements and the issue pops up within a couple of months. Also read there is an updated version that started being produced in October that fixes this issue.

There was a recall last month. These refurbs are probably recalled units with some fix applied.

      • I must of fell through the cracks haha will start the returns process when this year quietens down.

          Update.

Well the Dell support officer I am talking to at the moment is doing default troubleshooting. So I definitely don't feel like they are treating this like a recall.

          • @unhinged: Oh no, I just noticed your comment, sorry for being so late. Yeah, Dell Support are kinda useless in this regard, so I suggest contacting Rabiatul.Adawiyah@dell.com whose e-mail signature is from "Global FQM Execution | Global Customer Delivery, Dell Technologies | ISG Remote and Field Support Services". I received notification of the recall directly from that individual, so I tried verifying if it was a scam. I tried searching on the Dell website about a recall - nothing. I then asked about it via the Dell online chat support who basically told me to reply to the e-mail I received, haha!

This is the text from the e-mail I received. Best of luck!

I have just returned one from a crackling and buzzing sound at the rear, noticeable in a quiet home office set up from arms length away from the monitor. Not sure if it's related to this issue.
